Seems like Mr Smith is having a hard time on radio lately. Now his last 3 singles ..LIC and LMD have not been well-received by radio now including Omen. Every new song that has been released within the last week or 2 is getting massive airplay except Omen. I wonder what's going on ? 50+ stations added it but evidentally they're not playing it. what??? Don't you see this is still going up on radio? Base your opinions on the reality, pls.

I am basing it solely on the history of his last 2 singles and what is happening this far. If in the end I am wrong I will be first to say I'm sorry and admit it but this far it doesn't look good. Just bring honest.

to be fair it's a little early to be going into panic mode, isn't it?
it's actually doing pretty well as of now imo, but then again I haven't really been paying too much attention to it so

Compared to other songs released at the same time it was it's doing the worst of all of them.

1. it would help if you told us what those songs were
2. then in that case it's likely more just better competition than anything, again, this songs already in the pop radio top 40 less than a month after it's release, which actually doesn't happen too often

Compared to other songs released at the same time it was it's doing the worst of all of them. This is already exceeding my early expectations. It's having steady daily increases and pulling in weekly adds. It's right where it should be now. It was never going to be a top 10 smash overnight, but as long as it's growing at its current pace it can get there this Fall.

Compared to other songs released at the same time it was it's doing the worst of all of them. It has only been out for a couple of weeks now. It wouldn't be good if it had a fast rise and then an even faster fall. A slow rise is better. It feels like that some here go into panic mode and then there are the collective cries of "It's flopping! It's over! It's done!" if a song hasn't gone top 20 or top 10 within 2 to 4 weeks of the original release! Give it some time. Look at how long it took for Ellie Goulding's "Lights" to finally smash. It took the better part of a year for that to happen.

Demi Lovato's new song has been out what 2 weeks or so hear it on the radio every hour on the hour so yes some songs are way more successful right now. I'm just pointing out the obvious.

If you MUST go by prior singles' performances that is a crock of s**t coming off the back of two major radio smashes and a top 20 hit. Demi Lovato was released at the beginning of July. It's been out for 7 weeks. Ed Sheeran's duet (I presume you're talking about Macklemore) only just cracked the top 50 a few days ago. Adam Levine/R. City has even been out longer than this has.

So it's not really going anywhere on Pop..stalled right now. I just have a really bad feeling about this song which if it would tank would be bad for Sam and his 3 song tanking track record.

Sam will be fine...IMO he's established himself to a point where he doesn't need a ton of radio support, I mean In The Lonely Hour is still selling well without a single blowing up on radio

It makes no sense to me why this song isn't doing great. Its had lots of promo, over 11M views on Vevo, lots of radio 'adds' which evidentally don't mean a thing unless they actually PLAY the song. The point is this song is awesome and I think now radio actually dislikes anything Sam puts out. Just my intuition.

I think radio is SO one-way towards Taylor that even a horrible song she would release would top the charts just because she's Taylor..or Ed Sheeren too. Sam shouldn't need excuses because his voice is different which a lot of people dislike and Omen is a great song. He shouldn't need to be relying on his album to make money. His voice and talent should be what speaks for him.

Sam's being MIA for so many months is hurting him-it's hurt his album, and it's hurting this. Last weekend a repeat aired of an interview Sam did last December with CBS and like that Boom! His album was top 20 on ltunes, all of his singles were top 100 on itunes (including Like I Can) . Once that boost was over, everything fell. It sucks because he could still be selling as much as Ed Sheeran every single week but unlike Ed, sam hasn't been on tv for a long time and he doesn't give interviews.

I don't see what everybody's talking about with this "stalling". It had a +62 today and the bullet increased. It dropped a little in audience, but it's still a good number for how many spins it has... "Latch" wasn't really a strong digital seller either.

I heard about the interview last weekend then saw it and realized it was a repeat because he hadn't lost His weight yet. I'm not sure he doesn't do interviews because he obviously does but hasnt done any recently. Him and Disclosure need to perform Omen on one of the late night or daytime talk shows or something.

LIC never had any promo (and the video was old) anyway it should have work better on radio Anywas Omen (and Disclosure in general) it's not a song taylor made for radio, people tend to forget that Latch was a totally surprising hit. Anyway, i don't think Sam has any problem, the album continues to sell and as far as the first single of his second album will be good he will be more than ok
