I totally get the business sense in stopping now, but I'm from the Come On Over school of thinking, in that the more singles there are, the better. I'd love to see someone really go for it, and put out 7 or 8 from an album. While I didn't think Keith would do that, I thought there was at least a chance that he'd go with one more. The charts really need to move faster for this to become a viable option again, though.

Practically everything released off of Come On Over charted reasonably well in country, Hot 100, and adult contemporary. Urban could not do that on his best day, sad to say.

Your assertion that Keith Urban is not a country format superstar makes zero sense; I cannot believe you wrote that and that you really believe that remark.
Urban's chart history on both the Hot 100 and at AC radio is irrelevant; AC and country radio have shared millions of the same listeners for decades, and the fact that Ms. Twain enjoyed more success at AC radio than Urban certainly shouldn't be a condemnation of one of the format's top 7-8 hitmakers of the past 15 years as you've done for whatever reason.
That fact is even more obvious given the preposterous blacklisting and banishment of Alan Jackson and George Strait from country radio, which would certainly propel Urban EVEN HIGHER into the top 10 rankings of country's most essential and respected artists of the past 12-15 years.

Exactly what I was thinking! Keith is in every way a superstar in the country genre.

Let me restate that. Shania Twain is a far bigger crossover artist then Keith Urban. However, when taking country only into consideration, Urban beats Twain by a country mile. He has 33 top tens between 2000-2015 while Twain has 16 between 1995-2004. He even has eleven more chart toppers then her (18 vs. 7). I am wondering if Twain did not take the last ten years off for recording, how many more hits she would have and how many more CDs she would sell.
