The best song on the album deserves some love.
RS #2 best song of 2014.

This is one of my favs on the album. Should have made the proper edition and replaced one of the weaker songs.

This really should be a single. What a fantastic song, Taylor.

I love "New Romantics" and if it becomes a single, I am 100% sure for a tour music video! Artists rarely release singles from the deluxe version of the album but Taylor has done that once with "Ours". So she might do it again! But if she's doing it, she would probably release only one Deluxe Edition bonus track and there is a strong competition between "NR" and "Wonderland" :/

They'd be dumb if they didn't release this. It's the obvious choice for the next (and final?) single from 1989.

Just not a fan of 'New Romantics' at all.
Especially as a single choice over 'Wildest Dreams', 'Out Of The Woods', or even 'All You Had To Do Was Stay'.

I love this one! Ugh!
I also think "How You Get The Girl" or "I Know Places" (definitely this one) would be great next singles.

To be honest, I think any of the songs on the album could be a single and perform well. They're all great!

Wow. Seven deep. Risky but we'll see how it goes.
I wish Out of the Woods wasn't flopping but it is so it makes sense to move on as quickly as possible if they want another hit.

This should be the stopping point afterwards for the '89 era. Any more deep and this will cause more harm than good in the long run for T-Swift.

This will go to #1 so that the only singles I really liked ("Blank Space" is good too, but not on the level of "Style" or "Out Of The Woods") are the only ones that don't top the chart.

Considering the beginning and end of the Out of the Woods video, I don't see New Romantics getting a video but I suppose it could be released to radio.

Considering the beginning and end of the Out of the Woods video, I don't see New Romantics getting a video but I suppose it could be released to radio. You'd intuitively think this would be getting the tour video or no video treatment, but the very fact that she's releasing it at all suggests she doesn't want to end 1989 on a flop (by her standard), so hard to totally rule out a true video. And it'd be a shame if it didn't get one, since the song lends itself to the funny and/or "sexy" videos that people eat up.

Should've released this instead of OotW, tbh.

I had always wanted NR as a single but only if OOTW came before it. Even with OOTW underperforming, I still don't see how the 1989 era would "end on a flop" considering just days ago the album won AOTY.

To not go out on a flop.

Fantastic choice. This will destroy on radio. No video is needed. No promo is needed. Easily top 10 most likely top 5 should be able to even do 1.

I'm shocked they're going with another single! I thought after OOTW flopped, they'd end it but it seems like they want the era to go out on a BANG. Back to this - I LOVE this track and always have wanted it to be a single (especailly over OOTW but I liked that song as well). I'm glad it's finally getting released!

This makes up for them releasing OOTW, which was my least-favorite single of the era and probably least-fave track on the whole album. I'm thrilled that this is going to be a single! I think this one could actually do quite well too considering it's a bonus track so it won't feel as old as OOTW did to people once it finally got released. It doesn't hurt extending the era either imo seeing as it just won the AOTY at the Grammys.
