"Head Over Boots" is selling very well. It's currently #41 on the country iTunes chart and #229 on the all-genre chart, which is definitely Jon's best start to any of his single sales.
Hopefully this song can research decently, because if it does, I see no reason this one isn't at least a top 20 single.

I am really hoping this song does well. Jon Pardi is such a great artist and he's staying true to his roots on this song.

I think "Head Over Boots" is going to be Jon's biggest hit to date. It's gained 190 spins and over 900k in audience over the past two weeks and continues to sell above its airplay. The brutal summer of competition was a major contributor to "What I Can't Put Down" dying just outside the top 30, and "When I've Been Drinkin'" never really stood a shot with Jon's momentum being gonzo by that point in the album's life cycle.
I always thought Jon was one of those artists that arrived about 10 years too late but here's hoping that this one can continue to do well in 2015, and in to 2016. It'll still be a slow climb but I think Capitol can achieve a pretty successful hit here.

The sales have really surprised me. Didn't strike me as a song that would sell well without max airplay, but its done really well for itself. I hope things can keep up because Jon has a lot of potential IMO.

This song is a great one. Jon Pardi holds his own. I'm not sure if anyone else sounds like him at Country radio. Hope we can look back in 10 years and say," This guy here is Jon Pardi, he incorporates a sound of his own into every song he sings".

Acoustic Video:
"Head Over Boots" has increased 160 spins and nearly 1.3 million in audience on MB over the past two weeks and continues to sell better than its airplay.

Haven't commented on this thread yet. First thing's first: Jon Pardi is now 5/5 with me.
This is probably my 2nd favorite single from him, tied with "What I Can't Put Down". "Missin' You Crazy" is still my favorite. But this one is really good. I love the traditional shuffle feel to it.
I'm not surprised that this is selling well and doing pretty good at radio, too. Jon seems to have a pretty big fan-base as compared to many other newer artists who have had bigger hits. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Jon truly breaks out with his sophomore album. He's got a very unique sound -- he's not mimicking the style of every other male artist -- and I think it's really gonna pay off for him.

This is about 75% Bakersfield, 25% Mavericks. Great mix of sounds here. I loved Pardi's debut and this is promising too.

I'm really hoping this can take off once it hits the Top 30. This song is just too good for radio to ignore, and it's selling pretty darn well for its airplay. This could very well be my favorite song of 2016 already.

Jon continues to do quite well with this one. He's up to #32 on Billboard after just his 15th week, having gained nearly 1.2 million in audience this past week. "Head Over Boots" has one of the best sales per spin ratios of any current single, as it continues to hover right around the cusp of the top 200 on the iTunes all-genre chart. I think this one will start to take off even more when it gets onto the top 30 countdown shows.
This is looking like it could be Jon's biggest hit yet.

Love the steel and fiddle of course. Also worth noting that he is wearing a cowboy hat in the art! He was not sporting one for his other releases' art. I just think that's interesting since some artists ditch the hat at some point (Chris Young, Blake Shelton).

I just think that's interesting since some artists ditch the hat at some point (Chris Young, Blake Shelton). The most glaring example was when Lonestar ditched the hats after they got rid of John Rich in the late 90's. They basically became a different band look wise and sonically once "Amazed" was released. "Head Over Boots" is looking to be Jon's biggest hit yet and it's easily one of my favorite songs at radio over the past few years.

This is so good. Saw Jon Pardi last weekend in concert, he's awesome. He's 101% country as are his songs. Performed some new music, all of which sounded on par to the stuff on his debut (which is a good thing, cause his debut was brilliant). Maybe he doesn't have the songwriting skills of say, Church/Moore/Stapleton, but he sure knows how to make damn good country music.

"Head Over Boots" finally cracks the Mediabase top 30 this week, at #30. :)
BTW: This is Jon's first top 30 single since "Up All Night" in 2013.

Nice little blurb here from AllAccess:
I've seen that quote from Alan Jackson before, but just thought I'd post it again, in case others hadn't seen it :) That's some pretty high praise when Alan Jackson says something like that about you and your music!

Tough break for "Head Over Boots" on the Billboard chart this week. Jon was knocked down from #29 to #32. If Jon gained just 27k more in audience, he would have landed at #30.

I'm going to go ahead and say this song will at least get to the top 5. "Head Over Boots" has increased 230 spins and 2.0 million in audience this week and Jon's song has increased 800 spins and 5.5 million in audience over the past three weeks. It's now in the top 100 of the iTunes all-genre chart, so the sales continue to improve, and they were already great to begin with.
The Mediabase call-out scores are whatever -- currently just a 51 popular score, but has a very low familiarity for a top 30 single and a low burn rate. I find it interesting that its currently in the top 7 of the Nashville Country Club research this week (60.2 score).
Jon's said on twitter a couple days ago that the album announcement is coming "very soon!" :)

Just came across this new song from him on youtube, song is called "As Long As She Ain't in it"
......getting George Strait/Garth Brooks vibes from that one. Wow. What a beautiful, traditional sounding country song. May 13 needs to hurry up! Can't wait to hear more from this guy.
