Credit to: www.kworb.net/airadio*** indicates that the song dropped or added a format ------------------------------------------------------------------- Side note: I should be able to start posting the AI updates on a regular basis again! :)

Mess at Fight Song STILL being in there. I first heard it this time last summer. She's released 2 singles since then.

Oh we talking about its Hot 100 Debut? Yes, I think it will debut maybe at #3 or #4 because it has a full week of sales and was in the Top-3 sales since release.

Uhhh, have you seen how massive its sales are? massive? Hardly. It's selling less than the JT song this week and it isn't nearly CSTF's biggest week. It'll be extremely lucky if it gets top ten.

Uhhh, have you seen how massive its sales are? It's predicted to sell around 107k (Kworb), which isn't a whole lot. Plus you also have to take into account of its streams and radio. Unless... You are talking about #3 or #4 on the Digital Songs chart which is very likely.

Any chance The Fighter by Urban and Underwood hits big? There's zero hint of country. I like it a lot. Hope it's huge but doubt it.

I still don't get how the #1 song in sales and airplay is only #3. I understand a lot of people like Drake but streaming a song and purchasing a song is a big difference. Purchasing means you truly like something and want to have it forever. Streaming means it's cool for the moment and is forgettable in time once something cooler comes along.

The charts in question represent the present, not the future/forever/later on.

It's a different world than it was when another generation was young. With different options. Also, the charts measure a 7-day period, "forever" is absolutely irrelevant in that context, it's just 7 days.

User has less control with radio than with streaming. Streaming then is a much better predictor of popularity than traditional radio.

But damn it sure would be cool if that were possible! I have a feeling you're being sarcastic, but not quite sure ...no. It would only add to the power people have in the charts. That's super cool. I understand why it's not possible, though. If it were to be added, though, it would certainly be the least weighted as it brings zero revenue to the label.

Well if airplay is so irrelevant, why do people get so I to the airplay chart on here. Why bother with it at all. I still believe sales prove a songs popularity. And yes you can listen to it as many times no matter where you're at. And it's yours. I believe in buying physical pieces of music. ThT is true artist support.

These 3 factors are very different to each other which is why Hot 100 is so interesting

Streaming isn't counted as much as sales anyways. If you're streaming a song, you're most likely interested in that song, at least for the moment. Which is all that should matter. User-generated streams I'm a bit more iffy on. Some of those streams aren't even for the song itself. They're often for a viral video or something else unrelated. Or worse, some little shit on youtube trying to get views with misleading titles. Looking at you, Tinashe song disguised as Rihanna's "Work".
Streaming is still a good indicator of a song's popularity, but streaming's cheap or free with ads. If I'm buying a song or album, it's because I really like it and don't mind throwing money at it.
If anything, I think radio is probably the least indicative of a song's popularity. I don't want to hear some of these songs over and over again, but I have to because they're played on the radio where I work, and I don't have control over the radio. If airplay's counted, it should be for very little.
