Can we not repeat the mistakes of this past fall and go ahead and move on to a third single if there is going to be one?
Just Luv Me sounds like it could be a hit in today's climate (as much as anything Britney could be right now) and adds a nice personal element.
If I'm Dancing does have viral potential. I think it would either smash or be an epic flop. Don't see much of an in between with this one.
I think Liar could reset the era and be huge, but it's not a fan favorite and I can see the revolt from a mile away.
I'm still nursing a longing desire for a video for Man on the Moon and/or Invitation, hit potential be damned.

Super unpopular opinion, but I hate this song and album (except a few songs like Liar). I agree with the people who are saying she needs a really upbeat catchy song since that's what she's more famous for. Her midtempos generally don't do as well as songs like BOMT, Oops, Toxic, etc.

Yeah if there is going to be a single #3, they need to move onto it ASAP and get it moving. It also needs to be upbeat. Can't be another midtempo.
Would be cool if she did a track with a DJ or something to kind of get back in the good graces of radio... but honestly I think if they came back with a brand new upbeat banger I think it would do very well.

With how poorly this era has been managed I'd rather a new album on the fall than a third single in about three months just so they let it flop.

I agree with people saying that doing a feature on a DJ's track would be awesome. I say end the Glory era, and then in May release a hot song as part of DJ Snake or whatever it is that makes those big dance songs and then in the fall come with her own upbeat smash for a new album

If I'm Dancing would be an epic flop but if the video was top quality I would be very happy since the era arrived dead anyway.

It's been forever since we had a hot upbeat banger from Britney in the summertime. I Wanna Go is the last one I think. It'll be interesting to see what they do from here. It doesn't seem like they are very invested in this album so it wouldn't surprise me if they just ended the era here. However, I would hope they would be smart enough to try and jump on a DJ track or have her collaborate with Max or something for the next song she puts out. After a bunch of underperformances, her next song *NEEDS* to be a hit.

I hardcore hate two single album campaigns. And we're going to have two from her if they don't at least throw something else out there. Glory doesn't deserve it.
I don't even care about a hit. I just want another video from this project. We only have one!

Better is still begging to smash the charts but y'all won't listen. Better is a trend follower and that just doesn't seem to result in a hit for Britney. I do like it for what it is though.

Better is still begging to smash the charts but y'all won't listen. This exactly. It being 'trendy' actually works in connecting her to today's pop audiences since at this point she's out of the loop.

If Selena Gomez had released Make Me or Slumber Party they would have smashed. They are both on trend with what's hot on radio right now. This tropical sound is just the shiny new thing of the moment I suppose and I also happen to hate most iterations of it. So that probably skews my opinion of Better specifically, but I stand by my assertion that Britney chasing trends has never worked out well for her. When she sets a trend, or has an undeniable smash regardless of trend, that's when she hits big.

I remember specifically people here saying TTWE sounded too much like Ke$ha's Blow. And then you have Hold It Against Me which would've been the trend starter and that's largely (sadly) forgotten. An undeniable smash is exactly what Better is imo. Catchy and infectious with a relatable/feel good message. It is tricky though, your point on Selena kinda makes me believe it may just be Britney's current place in pop culture. MM and SP may have been hits if released anywhere from '09-'13. It may not even matter the quality of the tracks.

At this point, I think "Better" has the best chance of success.

It's weird because apparently the label and iheart radio programmers wants Just luv me but it's a 3rd mid tempo in a row.
Since I doubt anything would smash I guess they might as well go with that. An uptempo would be good for the spring like Better or Do you wanna. Apparently her label likes Better. Britney and her son love do you wanna?
All this and slumber party might be the last single although reliable insiders say they will issue a 3rd single for vegas promo.

It may not even matter the quality of the tracks. That's because that trend was still hot. TTWE w/ its woah-ohs and IWGs whistle hook. The tropical thing has been primarily connected to Bieber and Sia + Lean On - and now a small handful of bad Sia remakes. It didn't latch on to an entire Top 40 playlist like every song in 2011-12 being rehashes of each other. Better would've done ~okay~ early last year - mainly because Britney isn't that hot anymore. Now would be a great time for her to put something out that's opposite to trends. + she should not do any kind of DJ mess. That's not going to benefit her in any way in the long run (see : S&S).

Better would get lost in the sea of superior tropical house songs out there crossing over.
I still vote for If I'm Dancing. Although there seems to be a big reaction towards No Seas Cortés also

Ugh. Third single announcement tomorrow please. Go hard or go home RCA.
Speaking of going hard, how about a "Liar" launch to coincide with the unauthorized biopic?

It's run will end up looking a lot like POM's, albeit, shorter. This will be the test though... is RCA gonna get its shit together and push a 3rd single relatively soon, or are we gonna have radio silence for the next 2 months while this dies and disappears?
