117. Zipper Club - Going Distance
Peak: 25Wks: 15Album: " Going The Distance" singleTrack: 1Genre: Indie New WaveThis one was an immediate hit on my chart; from the first time I heard it. It has that late 80's-early 90's New Wave sound. This was back when they started calling the sound Modern Rock, but it still sounds New Wave to me. It is also sung in duo male/female vocals; which is still my favorite type of vocal delivery in music. At 15 weeks; it's also still going strong on my weekly charts.

116. Struts - Put Your Money On Me Peak: 24Wks: 12Album: Everybody WantsTrack: 4Genre: Glam RockI actually charted this song when it first came out in 2014. It was a minor hit for me back then, peaking just outside my weekly top 50, but this year it was rereleased; along with the entire album, and finally makes my year end chart.

115. City Calm Down - Your Fix
Peak: 24Wks: 12Album: In a Restless HouseTrack: 6Genre: Indie RockOne of my favorite new discoveries this year is City Calm Down. The song has an incredible 80's New Wave vibe; much like that of the Cure and this week it just scored a top 20 slot, on my chart. Which means; it will return next year, at a much higher position along; with any other single, they release, that might crack my weekly chart? The art work I'm uploading is also another Dr. Indie original.

114. Drive She Said - TouchPeak: 26Wks: 17Album: Pedal To The MetalTrack: 1Genre: AOR Hard RockNext is a great AOR song from the American hard Rock band; Drive; She Said. Like alot of other AOR artists this year; they also released their album; "Pedal To The Metal" on Frontiers Records. This song couldn't break into the top 20 on my chart, but spent 17 big weeks in the Top 30. One of the best aspects of this song; is the intro and how it uses that same catchy ,80's, hook throughout the chorus.

113. Lacey Sturm - ImpossiblePeak: 27 (2 Weeks)Wks: 19Album: Life ScreamsTrack: 1Genre: Christian RockBeing a big fan of female Rock vocals; I've always charted songs from Flyleaf, so when I heard she had her own solo alum coming out I was instantly excited to chart her new music. "Impossible" spent about as many weeks on my chart; as would a song that goes top 5 or even #1 on my charts. BTW, if you like Flyleaf, you should check out her solo album. It's really good.

112. Class Actress - More Than YouPeak: 25Wks: 17Album: Movies EPTrack: 1Genre: SynthpopMore great Synthpop by newcomer Class Actress finds its way onto my year end chart. This one has perfect vocal vibe I look for in this type of music.

111. Disturbed - Open Your EyesPeak: 23Wks: 14Album: ImmortalizedTrack: 4Genre: Hard RockThis is the first appearance of two songs from the Nu Rock Metal band ;Disturbed. The band has been a regular staple on my year end charts ; since the classic, "Down With The Sickness" This year was a great year for the band. They also scored big on the Active charts with their rendition of the Simon and Garfunkle song; "The Sound of Silence".

110. Alter Bridge - Show Me A Leader Peak: 19Wks: 9Album: The Last HeroTrack: 1Genre: Hard RockThis band is the best thing that came about from the disbandment of Creed. Though the music had a more Alternative mEtal sound to it; its still Hard Rock to me. This song in particular takes the guitar solo to another level and part of the reason its still goig strong my weekly chart; as we speak. The funny thing is; that as soon as "Chump" was elected as the U.S. leader; this song began to lose spin count. This song is surely not the anthem song for that current leader.

109. Rick Astley - Keep SingingPeak: 22Wks: 12Album: 50Track: 1Genre: Gospel PopNo; you have not been "Rick Rolled". I'm a huge 80's fan and Rick was certainly an 80's icon. This song is very much the gospel pop style of George Michael during the 90's. A great song; that I think should have gotten more attention on the Pop charts. The next single I have my ear on is "Angels By My Side". So that could make an early 2017 appearance on my charts; as well.

108. Fitz and The Tantrums - Roll UpPeak: 18Wks: 8Album: Fitz and the TantrumsTrack: 4Genre: Indie PopI found this song to be quite a bit more redeeming than "HandClap". It has a bit more of that "Out of My League" flavor and that uptempo beat is very irresistible. It's still growing on me, but it has just gone Top 15 on my weekly charts, so chances are, it goes top 10 in a few weeks or so. I do have to add; that while the MV is cute; it can get quite annoying after repeated views.

107. Fickle Friends - Say No More Peak: 16Wks: 9Album: TBATrack: 1Genre: Indie PopWe are up to a song by Fickle Friends. They are easily my favorite female lead indie Pop band out now. Thier sound? Think of Atlas Genius with female lead. Strong productions with even stronger vocals and catchy choruses and hooks. Last year I charted "Swim" in my top 100 songs of 2015. This year "Say No More" just comes in shy of my top 100, but it is still very new on the charts and I have a feeling 2017 will be the year for Fickle Friends to break out big in the music scene?

106. Stitched Up Heart - MonsterPeak: 21Wks: 13Album: Never AloneTrack: 2Genre: Hard RockWe are up to one of two songs from Stitched Up Heart to make an appearance on my chart. "Finally Free" will show up much much later. I admit to not liking "Monster" when I first heard it. I though the contrast of the two styles; melodic and metal; didn't work for me, but this song is a true grower and it wasn't long before I started digging on; Alecia, strong vocal delivery. At 3 months on my chart; it has finally broke into the top 20; so it could also make an appearance on my 2017 year end chart?

105. Weezer - Thank God For GirlsPeak: 21Wks: 17Album: Weezer (White Album)Track: 3Genre: Alternative RockJust 5 slots away from the top 100 songs of the year. Number 105; belongs to a band; who is also been a strong staple in my year end charts for many years. I admit that this year wasn't as strong as other years, but this was still a big hit on my charts.

104. MisterWives - Imagination InfatuationPeak: 21(3 Weeks)Wks: 15Album: Our Own HouseTrack: 10Genre: Indie PopRemember "Reflections"? That was one of my top 5 songs of 2015. I also charted 2 other songs off "Our Own House" and another one off thier first EP. This is the 3rd song I'm charting off "Our Own House", because when a band is this good; I want them to be regulars on my year end charts. BTW; I just started charting "Not Your Way"; as single number 4, so they will return in 2017.

103. Kurt Vile - Pretty Pimpin'Peak: 20(2 Weeks)Wks: 13Album: B'lieve I'm Goin Down...Track: 1Genre: Folk RockYou won't find too many songs with the label "folk" on my charts, but this was a great song that also had a nice Indie Rock vibe to it. To top that; it also had some of the most crafty lyrics of any song this year. It pretty much got shafted by The Alternative charts, but became huge on the AAA charts and became a top 20 hit on my charts too. Special thanks to 91x;my Alternative radio station ,who gave it ; much deserved, multiple spins too.

That was one of the top 100 songs of 2014. This year I came across this uptempo Indie Pop track and just had to chart it too.

101. Missing Persons feat. Dale Bozzio - Hello HelloPeak: 20Wks: 18Album: Missing In ActionTrack: 2Genre: New WaveJust one more song left before we break into the top 100 songs of 2016. It belongs to the 80's ,New Wave, icons; Missing Persons. Their album was aptly called ; "Missing In Action". This song went up and down my 20-30 slots until it finally made the top 20 for on week. The version I charted was more 1982 style, but there was also a remix that sounded more like 1986 Missing Persons, but its still very good. I also came up with a pretty cool art cover from the images in the inside sleeve of the album.

"Take Me Down" took a long time to grow on me and I finally started charting it; as it was coming to an end ,on its own, on the Active Charts, but it's already a top 20 hit on my charts, with a upward climb in the horizon as well. Here is Taylor Momsen and the rest of The Pretty Reckless with "Take Me Down"

Even though I didn't chart anything from the; "American Beauty/American Psycho"; era. I did chart this remix of "Irresistible"...and it had everything to do with Demi's special appearance. In the song and even more in the video.

93. TREAT - InfernoPeak: 11Wks: 12Album: Ghost Of GracelandTrack: 6Genre: Hard RockTREAT is a Swedish Hard Rock/Glam Metal band that's been active since the mid 80's. They are part of the AOR/Glam Metal revival coming out of Europe. In particular; From Sweden. Which is where most of the rock bands I charted this year hail from. After a few minor hits on my weekly chart; they finally score one in The Top 100 of the year. They have a heavy ;Bon Jovi vibe and I'll surely chart at least one more song off "Ghost Of Graceland"

Death Cab For Cutie - Good Help(Is So Hard To Find)Peak: 17Wks: 14Album: Kintsugi Track: 8Genre: Alternative RockDeath Cab For Cutie are a band that makes my top 100 songs almost every time they release new music. This year they did it again; with this uptempo poppy Alt hit. This is a song that should have gone ;at least top 20 on the Alt charts as well. For the cover art; I tried to mimic the sorta, abstract shapes, they used on the cover; of their 2,, previous, singles.

Two Door Cinema Club has been active in the indie scene for a few years now. I just have never come around to charting them yet. Until this year; that is. This song has just cracked my top 15 singles and doesn't seem to be slowing down just yet. This song could end up being; their first top 10 song on my chart?
