#29. Eric Church - "His Kind Of Money (My Kind Of Love)"

The single peaked at #41 on Mediabase in July and because of its chart performance, it wasn't included on an album until Eric's deluxe version of Carolina was released, as well as his Caldwell County EP in 2011. The song was written by Eric, Casey Beathard and Shane Minor.
I have no idea why this didn't do anything at radio. It's got a fantastic melody and subject. I was worried when this didn't make the top 40 that Eric's radio career was in jeopardy but luckily, Eric took off in 2009. I love this song and I'm thrilled it made the top 30 and so many others enjoy it here, too.

Glad Keith atleast made the top 30! I agree, it definitely should've been the first single.

The last several reveals have all felt relatively expected. No complaints about "Roll With Me", "I'm About To Come Alive", "Winner At A Losing Game", "I Still Miss You", and "His Kind Of Money" all leaving now, despite how fantastic they all are. But OMG wtf at "Another Try"!!!!!!!!! That song is quite possibly the strongest male vocal performance of this entire year... Whether you like the melody or not, Josh's vocal on this song is nothing short of incredible. Paired with Trisha, it is downright perfect! Very disappointed that one missed the top 20.

Still have my top 8 intact in Top 23! I Still Miss You is just too one-note for me. Sorry!

One of the best from Rascal Flatts and one of the few times you'll ever see me rank them so high. Very happy to see it make it this far it's fantastic. Sorry austin I couldn't join in on the tanking this time "I'm About To Come Alive" is such a cool sounding single I'm glad it's still remembered and loved enough to climb this high.

Brad Paisley - "Letter To Me" Gary Allan - "Watching Airplanes" Carrie Underwood - "All-American Girl" Trace Adkins - "You're Gonna Miss This" George Strait - "I Saw God Today" Montgomery Gentry - "Back When I Knew It All" Jimmy Wayne - "Do You Believe Me Now?" Brad Paisley - "Waitin' On A Woman" Darius Rucker - "Don't Think I Don't Think About It" Carrie Underwood - "Just A Dream" Chris Cagle - "What Kinda Gone" Jason Aldean - "Laughed Until We Cried" Lady Antebellum - "Love Don’t Live Here" Dierks Bentley - "Trying To Stop Your Leaving" George Strait - "Troubadour" Jamey Johnson - "In Color" Josh Gracin - "We Weren't Crazy" Miranda Lambert - "Gunpowder And Lead" Eli Young Band - "When It Rains" Joey + Rory - "Cheater, Cheater"

What song will be #1? I will put a second vote onto "Letter To Me", only I am going to say that "Gunpowder And Lead" will be the tough-to-beat runner-up.
I am surprised to see Eli Young Band still here, as well as Jimmy Wayne. Jimmy Johnson is a tad surprising too, although I am totally expecting a handful of people ranked him really high.
I think that Eli Young Band will be the next out.

"Johnny & June" made it further than I expected in all honesty, but it still sucks to see it come this far and come up shy of top 20. Same for Ashton Shepherd. Kinda cruel irony that the song peaked at #21 on both charts when it was released and then it landed in the same spot here. Pretty solid top 20 though not enough females still standing tbh. I'm rooting for Miranda to take this one home. Her or Carrie with "Just a Dream" would be my ideal winners. I'm thinking "Letter to Me" and "Love Don't Live Here" are strong contenders for #1 here though. Jason Aldean and Montgomery Gentry have overstayed.

#20. Joey + Rory - "Cheater, Cheater"
Total Points: 820 Average: 43.1 Year Released: September 17th, 2008 Mediabase Peak: #32 Billboard Peak: #30 Rankings: George Strait Junkie - 2 .indulgecountry - 4 LBTrocks - 5 castleoblivion26 - 7 recordyear - 8 zaclord 🌈 - 16 Kanenrá:ke - 33 raylatch98 - 34 toomuchboy - 37 ClevelandRox - 40 Cody Wants Out... - 45 sabre14 - 54 someguy - 62 CoJoFan - 63 rgreen0625 - 66 tim - 73 bboat11 - 75 kw9461 - 91 austin - 105 Following: bigfan101 carriefan15 "Cheater, Cheater" was released in September of 2008 as the debut radio single for husband/wife duo Joey + Rory off Sugar Hill/Vanguard Records. It was considered a surprise hit for the label situation, as it reached #30 on Billboard in January of 2009. It was off their album, The Life of a Song. "Cheater, Cheater" was written by Joey Feek, Rory Feek, Kristy Osmunson and Wynn Varble. Osmunson was one half of the duo Bomshel from 2006-2011. Bomshel released the song first earlier in 2008 but it never charted.
Joey Feek passed away in March of 2016 from cancer.
Our station played this a lot and it was surprising given its chart peak and the label promoting it. It's definitely got an old school feel, although I remember people being turned off by the "hoe" lyric.

#19. Josh Gracin - "We Weren't Crazy"
Total Points: 808 Average: 42.5 Year Released: October 29th, 2007 Mediabase Peak: #9 Billboard Peak: #10 Rankings:kw9461 - 1 zaclord 🌈 - 9 castleoblivion26 - 12 Cody Wants Out... - 19 bboat11 - 22 sabre14 - 25 rgreen0625 - 29 CoJoFan - 37 ClevelandRox - 42 Kanenrá:ke - 46 LBTrocks - 46 raylatch98 - 47 George Strait Junkie - 55 austin - 56 .indulgecountry - 64 toomuchboy - 67 tim - 69 recordyear - 79 someguy - 83 Following: bigfan101 carriefan15 "We Weren't Crazy" was released in October of 2007 as the third single off Josh Gracin's album of the same name. The single however was the one to get the album released, as "Favorite State of Mind" (#19 on R&R in 2006) and "I Keep Coming Back" (#25 on MB in 2007) failed to get the album out. It peaked at #9 on Mediabase in July of 2008. The song took 40 weeks to reach the top 10, which was considered astonishing back in 2008. Josh wrote the song with Bobby Pinson and Tony Lopacinski. I was very surprised Lyric Street didn't release Josh's album after "Favorite State of Mind" in 2006, then again in 2007 after "I Keep Coming Back" made the top 25 on MB. This is a great song and I really enjoyed this album but "Unbelievable (Ann Marie)" was a career killer and the last song on We Weren't Crazy that should have seen radio. kw9461 loses his #1 here.
