She's definitely been working on the vocals! I'll give her that much.
But the song is a pass for me. Something about her is so affected to me. I think it's because she so blatantly takes from every big/breakthrough female artist (Lorde, Lana, Billie, Taylor, etc.) over the past decade to build this persona that I don't find interesting (or even genuine) in the least. You can hear it all throughout this song. It's so overwrought and desperately trying to create a dynamic moment. It's borderline parody IMO.

I really like the first verse and I love the second one. The bridge is also pretty good, but I don't like the hook. It's building great and the "bloodsucker, famefucker, bleeding me dry..." makes it anticlimactic it for me. Still a very good song, though.

I don’t think this will recreate the level of success that DL or G4U had.

Seems like her and her team focused too much on being edgy than actually creating a likable song. I don't dislike it, but I don't think it will grow on me much. We'll see!

I see all of these trendy names being thrown out for what this song sounds like and I have to disagree with all of it. What I hear is Florence & The Machine. It gets so close at times I want to swear Florence Welch ghostwrote it for Olivia. Incidentally it sounds kind of good and more grown-up than anything on SOUR, though it contributes to Olivia's lack of identity.

One of the best songs to come out this year. Especially pop

This is the best she can do for her comeback? What a disappointment of a song. Deserves to flop.

Gah you guys... bear with me here please, I BEG you. Love pop. Big pop, mid pop, low pop. Upbeat pop! Acoustic pop! I generally get behind massive pop artists, breakthrough or otherwise. However - I just do not get the Olivia thing at all. I find her music so flat and derivative of other artists and much lesser than all of them. I find this song in particular so disjointed and like they're trying to have several 'moments' and I don't find it impressive at all. Something isn't connecting with me. I feel like it's a joke I'm not in on. I couldn’t agree more. It’s not a bad song at all, but it just doesn’t click for me. It doesn’t feel genuine or something? I don’t know. Anyway, end Morgan, Olivia!

i would like this more if it kept the ballad tempo through out . the later parts seemed kind of messy when the tempo kept changing.

Not up to the level of her first album's singles IMO, but it's not bad. The hype was astronomical and maybe that's why, at least in part, it falls short for me as the lead of her second era. Felt very chaotic in a bad way. On a side note, she's very much an amalgamation of all the artists she grew up idolizing, but that's kinda to be expected at her age.

I really like this on my first few listens! I like the way the chorus builds to the "The way you sold me for parts as you sunk your teeth into me, oh" line, it almost feels a bit cathartic. I think it also does a great job of taking the sounds that two of her biggest hits have and blending them together: the ballad sound from "drivers license" and the pop-rock sound from "good 4 u".

If “more of the same” means fantastic pop music I’m never going to say no. This is a jam on first listen.

I think it’s a bit jarring but I don’t hate it at all.
My main issue with both this song and O is the same issue I had during her debut era and it’s that I don’t know who Olivia is as an artist yet. I’m seeing a lot of “this sounds like [song] by [artist]!” when this was her opportunity for people to say “now THIS sounds like Olivia!”

On first listen, this song isn’t bad but it didn’t really hook me. It might grow on me with more listens.
Lyrically, I like this song but the production feels all over the place and it doesn’t flow well. And I wish Olivia’s delivery of her vocals was a bit more sped up when the production sped up. I definitely hear the Lorde and Florence comparisons.
I could see this getting some killer remixes.

I think it's catchy and very in sync with her debut singles. I see this smashing but maybe not lasting long, much like Taylor's Me! or LWYMMD.

I absolutely love the song. It'll definitely be on repeat for me. Now, will someone please explain the music video to me. She is performing on a stage and suddenly that thing hits her and everyone in the audience is shocked and then suddenly people go after her and she runs through the city.... I'm so confused lol.

I like this. I’m not familiar with anything from her debut. Her style of music just isn’t normally for me. For some reason I like this though. As of now the ballad section is my favorite part of the song, but in time I’m sure I’ll enjoy the uptempo section just as much. Hmm, maybe I passed on her to quickly and will give the debut another shot..
