I dont think Irreplaceable will get in ROY or SOY. It didnt really receive ASTOUNDING reviews.
Actually I think it would go like this for ROY
Gnarls Barkley, Xtina, Natasha Bedingfield, KT and maybe Shakira or some uknown song.
Justin wont make it his song had horrible trashing reviews.

Xtina? ANOM will NOT get a ROTY nom. She'll probably win best pop vocal tho Ugh. as for Beyonce, she'll get tons of noms and probably win a few R&B awards.

Christina could easily get a nom for ANOM in ROY. Not a lock by any means but the song was the highlight of B2B for many big reviewers.
Sexyback was HUGE - makes it a contendor for ROY.

MY OPINION.....
lemme first say...I LOVE BEYONCE'S IRREPLACEABLE.... HOWEVER, i believe it wont be a conteder this year at the grammys because its popularity seems to be running the "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" track. It became a single mid-november and has gotten extremely popular extemely fast.... so i think it will make a spash at the 2008 grammys!

Irreplaceable may be kept for next year but BOBD didn't really catch on at pop until December/January, whereas Irreplaceable made top 10 at pop, #1 at iTunes, top 5 at urban and ryhthmic before the end of November. They may just want to maximize nominations this year when the album is more current. And the song is more in people's minds. There is definitely a possibility however, that it will be in the running for Record of the Year in '08.
Anyone think Fiona Apple could get nominated for Rock Female/RockSolo performance for something off of Extraordinary Machine? Like "Get Him Back"?
Will Corinne Bailey Rae get nominated in Pop or R&B categories? I could see Put Your Records up for Pop Female and Like A Star up for R&B Female - but where will her album end up?
There hasn't been much discussion about the rap categories - who will be big contenders?

I remember when "Paper Bag" was nominated in a rock category, lol. I consider that song pure soulful pop so I don't know what the grammys were thinking. But yeah, "Get Him Back" does have potentional to be a nominee in that field. It has that menacing and agngry attitude like "Criminal".
