Thanks to carrieluver@OFC for this find. Extra TV has a great interview of Carrie with Simon's girlfriend.

A random thought that just occurred to me...now that SS has hit #1, is Country Weekly going to do one of those "how the song came about" pieces with the writers? I remember Brad Paisley saying during an interview that CW often gets it wrong in those pieces, but I'd still love to read one on SS.

Carrie saying in various interviews that she's going to be doing a lot of touring in 2008 kinda rules out the movie gig rumor, don't you guys think? She says Keith co-headlining tour, a brief break, and then more touring without ruling out the possibility of a headlining tour at the end of next year depending on how things go. Or maybe it's just my wishful thinking? :) That movie gig doesn't really seem like a can't-miss-opportunity one and I certainly wouldn't mind if it turned out to be just a rumor or doesn't push through.

Access Hollywood has some footage of Carrie doing backstage press after her AMA wins. She talks touring -- I'm psyched to hear her say that they're gearing up for the co-headlining tour with Keith Urban, and she also says she won't rule out headlining on her own towards the end of next year. For reference's sake, I was looking at the 4th week dropoffs of some of country music's biggest openers this year...usually, I think of 20% as the typical dropoff for the 4th week. Tim McGraw's album was off 28% in its 4th week, Kenny's album 35%, Reba's album 15% and Rascal Flatts' album 27%. I had expected a dropoff in the higher range for Carnival Ride this week because last week's sales were helped by the CMAs and she didn't have any TV performances of CR material this week. But if she makes 100K, it'll be a dropoff of just over 17%, which would be great, in my view. And yay!!!!! that SS made #1 on Billboard/ R&R! Congrats to Carrie, Luke Laird and Hillary Lindsey! awesome! thanx for the access hollywood video. I finally got to see slash actually commenting on carrie. :)

I tend to agree. At first I was all excited about the movie until I went to the web site and watched the trailer, etc. It seemed really low budget and I can't imagine carrie doing something like that. If she does a movie, I at least want it to be in the category of Indie movie. lol It doesn't have to be a blockbuster smash hit-- but I at least want it to hit the big screens before dvd release, unlike jessica simpson's movies...lol Desi-- do you think after the keith tour, she will tour with someone else all summer, before her headline possibility in the fall? 24 dates is nothing, and should be over by april at the latest. So she will have all summer to tour then. I wonder if she will be alone or with someone.

That movie seems like a bunch of BS to me. Why isn't there a real press release if it's true plus I'm sure with Carrie touring all year, there won't be any time. At least I hope it's not true cause the website and trailer I watched were just pathetic.

i really dont believe in the movie gig. unless whoever is producing it really knows someone in carrie's management. it seems a pretty low-key thingy and i would think her management would want her in something bigger. plus, i bet her main priority will be touring for 2008

(This is purely a coincidental find. I'm not trying to prolong the acting talk, LOL!) There's a Carrie interview video at The Envelope from the Enchanted premiere.

Didn't Disney even previously say that the video would be available for free download? I remember that! Now, what the hell are they doing? GRRRR!!!! >:(

The "Wasted" video isn't even available for download yet. *whine, whine, whine, I'm such a whiner* :)

Thanks for the link Desi, although there is a longer one that broadcast on the tv that I recorded and will try to get up soon. In that vids she says's she doesn't talk about her "personal" life but also says she doesn't have a boyfriend.

^ cute how they used All American Girl for the title of the article...:) I wonder if the rumors that AAG is the next single are true? I hope so-- it is a great song. Truly there are so many good ones that I would be happy with almost any choice for the next single--- but I do think an upbeat song next would be good. And radio seems to love AAG. :) AAG is the perfect single to release next. It's got it all, great melody, good chorus with a great hook, and great vocal. Besides, the title is one that people can relate to. Just to add, how many parents will relate to the situation of secretly hoping for a boy, and having another girl. My third child is a girl, but we were not supposed to have any more children because of medical reasons. But, she's a physical therapist now, and I could't be more proud.

Apparently, the after-party was pathetic. nice one! lol It sounds pretty bad. Hopefully there were better parties at people's hotels and such. I am sure carrie went somewhere, but there are no pics up of anyone anywhere. lol weird. I agree that the Itunes thing is getting beyond ridiculous. I didn't mind buying the country Christmas album cuz there were so many good songs on it, but the Enchanted cd is not something I want in my ipod...lol I only like 2 songs. :( so I broke down and bought it today, at best buy, but I am not happy about it. Maybe I can regift it to my nieces after I download carrie's song. lol Guys-- they announced a few people so far to read off the grammy noms on 12-6. So far, Taylor swift (UGH!), Akon, and I think Linkin Park. It says more people will be announced later. I am hoping carrie gets asked, though last year, natasha beginford was there and didn't get a single nom. Whereas, carrie was not there, and got tons of noms. So who knows...lol

The whole CMT thing probably had a great impact on sales for everybody it looks like. With black Friday ahead, next week's numbers will be interesting.

I just saw a post at CMT, someone's saying that AAG is the next single. Does anyone have any further information? Site? Label? Thanks.
