This will be the lead single from her brand new album that should be out in the fall. Taylor announced this when she shot part of the music video for it in front of a CMA Music Festival crowd of friends on Friday in front of the Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville, mentioning this was the first time any fans had ever heard the song. It was also the first time she had played it for anyone live. I was there and she played the song three times and it is a good tune. I have to admit I didn't like it on first listen, but I like it more now.
I know most of the lyrics but out of respect for Taylor and her people, I will not post them. Just get ready for this, it's a great song! I met Taylor on Saturday and she has to be one of the nicest artists out there. She definately had the BEST performance at Fan Fair this year and was the artist EVERYONE was there to see!

Can't wait! I'm sure Taylor's new cd will be even better than the first, although that will be hard to beat.

i am hoping her new album is more mature than her last one. that will be the best way to improve albums. after all, she wrote some of those songs when she was 11 right?
Zach, can you tell us if "Love Story" is more mature than her recent music? it sounds like it might not, but you never know

Um, well it's just a song about a "Romeo" and "Juliet" kind of love. Along the same lines as most of her songs. Just a love song.

well, I'm looking forward to listening to it, but I have to admit that the title didn't make me anymore anxious.

Again, it really is a good song, don't think bad of it about the title, haha. BTW, this is a mid-tempo song. Not a ballad, neither a PTB, more like an "Our Song".

I also met Taylor on Saturday is she is just so nice to all her fans and very appreciative. She treats everyone as a friend and that is a great quality. Plus she signed and took photos with fans for more than 8 HOURS STRAIGHT!!! Here is an article link: www.pr-inside.com/swift-signs-amp-signs-r633467.htmTAYLOR SWIFT made country music history at the CMA Country Festival in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday (07Jun08) when she sat and signed autographs for 900 fans. The teenager went through three Sharpie marker pens as she staged an eight-hour signing marathon. It's easily the longest a female star has sat for a signing session at the annual country music extravaganza. Garth Brooks famously scribbled his name for thousands of devotees during a 23-hour period at the even in 1996.

OMG Love the song title and the idea. I guess it kinda makes sense that Mary's Song wasnt the last single from her first cd since it seems like this one will have the same kind of feel.

Hmm... Interesting. I'd heard otherwise. ("I'd Lie) But I guess you heard it straight from Taylor herself, so I'm sure it's a great song. Have a nice day!

Sounds like a typical Taylor Swift song name. Surely though it'll be another hit for Taylor. I bet this song is a ballad, since she released 3 uptempo songs in a row. you know. But I gotta disagree with you. Carrie Underwood was the BEST singer at the CMA fest.

It is NOT a ballad! It is a mid-tempo song, not slow and not very fast. It has a very steady beat, especially in the chorus and a great melody.

Looking forward to hearing new material from Miss Swift. Not at all fused about the song title. Before I heard the song "Our song" I thought it would be a slushy love ballad, but I was pleasantly surprised! :)

I was there for the performance, too, and I wasn't impressed on the first listen, either. Of course, it was a bit difficult to hear, since the drums were so loud. It's a cute song, but it is rather young-sounding. Not surprising, considering her age, and the audience she's writing for. I'm sure it's going to do really well for her.

i don't think so. the album comes out in November. Love Story will certainly have enough time to be big before the album comes out
