Top40dj had song 32 correct and Robert J was right with all of his guesses. And I thought I gave a pretty obvious clue for #31, but then I realized that when the James/Carly song was out, most of us here weren't even born yet (and I myself was only two years old).
I'll wait awhile and give some of my fellow old farts ;) a chance to guess #31 before giving an easier clue, if need be.

OK, here's an easier clue:
The artist of this song released several songs at the end of 2004 (although one of them was not official until early in 2005). The one released before this song and the one released afterwards tanked, but this song managed to rise above the competition.

Mockingbird is correct ("Encore" peaked at #19 - some people think that the release of MB stopped its climb - and "Toy Soldiers" peaked somewhere in the 20s).
30) A song with a title sort of synonymous with Bow Wow Wow's 1982 hit
29) A song about jealousy (it even mentions the word in the lyrics)
28) BAZOOOOOOOOMS!!
27) I wonder if this guy was in California back in 1849?
26) The title of this song implies Spanglish.
GOOD LUCK!!

Wow! That was great, you got all of them in just six minutes!
25) A song about dancing from early 2005.
24) The title of this song is what the lead singer of the band singing it might be telling his wife.
23) Based on the title of this song, many people thought it was a remake of a late 70s hit.
22) How this song made it onto the Hot AC chart I'll never know.
21) A common short reply.
GOOD LUCK!!

Both of those were wrong and they were correctly guessed earlier in the game. For #25, you are on the right track. Remember, I said early 2005. "Lose Control" came out during mid-year.

David got song #25 correct.
JCMF3 got songs 23 and 21 correct.
24) This song is on the chart. The title refers to the chart status of the song.
22) This song didn't chart nearly as high as "Hollaback Girl" on the Hot AC chart.
GOOD LUCK!!

Not quite (I don't even think that song made the Hot AC chart).
This song peaked at #39 on the R&R Hot AC chart twice, the first time back in mid-summer.

That's right!
20) A song that will undoubtedly be played at many class reunions.
19) I wonder if Buddy Holly lived here?
18) This is one of several songs that didn't hit number one on R&R that did hit the top of Rick Dees' show. To narrow it down a little, it was one of the songs in the 2005 segment on his "Number One Hits" special that was played back in July and then again earlier this year.
17) This is another song that went too far on the Hot AC chart, because you know it don't matter anyway.
16) This song charted with two different titles.
GOOD LUCK!!

15) Guys usually do this when they're done taking a whiz.
14) This song may have been written as the singer was heading to kick Bowser's rear end.
13) This song title sounds like it's in two languages (remember, Frankie J's song has already been guessed)
12) Meow-meow or squirt-squirt.
11) This song has something in common with "The Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats.
