I don't want "Fearless" to be 3rd, I really like it, but there are WAY better songs off the album. I think the song is like Carrie's Wasted in that you have to listen to it alot to realise what a masterpiece it really is :)

I needed no time at all to realize it was basically the same song as Montgomery Gentry's "Some People Change", only more screechy at the end. Seriously, I can tolerate most of Carrie's material. Even though she often falls into the Martina trap of screaming her way through every song, she at least chooses better material (translation: not always issue songs).

Same here. As a matter of fact, it was the only single of Carrie's that I loved right away. Even 'Before He Cheats' had to grow on me.

You know, I love "Some People Change" but I think Kenny Chesney does it WAY better, and his is older, I think? I think he recorded it first. I dunno though.

"Hey Stephen" should've been the 2nd single, but oh well.
I hope she releases "Breathe", "Fifteen" or "You're Not Sorry".

That's not a country radio station...

That's not a country radio station... No need for the . It adds nothing to the conversation and is only going to provoke a pissy back & forth. In any case, I don't have a major problem with someone posting a link to a live performance of a current single, as this one is currently only getting airplay in this genre. Based on custom, though, the link probably belongs in the Taylor thread in General Artist Discussion, K-Z. Moreover, if/when "White Horse" is sent to pop in the US and overseas, the updates and discussions of promotion, etc. will belong in the appropriate forums (CHR/Pop and Global Music Charts), not here.

I overate quite a few times this year, sometimes while listening to music. I think it would be a great topic, "songs I heard while I overate." So there are more possibilities here than one might expectorate.

ok now this is just immature Thanks I agree it's uncalled for and immature, it's a spelling mistake, I mean seriously, big whoop I'm 16... I wasn't making fun of you, I was just goofing around, playing with words. This might be hard for you to understand, being 16 and all, but insulting you wasn't even on my radar screen. I don't know you. I have no grudge, no ax to grind. I meant you no harm, and neither did Jonsolo or dudley (unless they tell you otherwise). Please let me know if you want to exchange insults in some teenage ritual of proving yourself. That sounds like it could be thrilling.

OK, since I'm responsible for this one... cufan7, if I thought anyone was making fun of you or otherwise directing meanness specifically at you, I wouldn't have stood for it, much less participated in it. That's not my style (though I can see why you thought this might be directed at you). On the gender thing, I found it funny -- know, for example, that back in the olden days, I referred to Zazie as a female. It was either that or the fussy avian advisor to Mufasa... OK, getting silly again...sorry. Seriously, sometimes, some of the board's long-timers will go off on short pun-ny tangents. Odds are, we amuse no one but ourselves, but we're not taking ourselves seriously, either. Some of us even make fun of ourselves for our preoccupation with grammar and spelling. ;) Personally, I can scarcely resist some good wordplay. I know it is good-natured and I know it will be contained to a few posts, so I let it go despite my usual instructions to get back on topic. Sometimes, some of the board members do rib each other whether for typos or little personality foibles. But again, it is good-natured and if it hints at mean, you can be sure I'll have the smackdown ready. It comes back to board history and trust -- I think some of the board members (maybe the long-timers in particular) are pretty comfortable joshing each other a bit and trust that even if we get off on the occasional silly tangent, we'll get back to geeking out over the charts in very short order. I don't know if that will assure or convince you. But for what it's worth, based on Jonsolo and Zazie's histories on the board, they are not people who get off on looking down on others and treating them with contempt. And when they goof around here, it's with good heart and intent.
