"Bulletproof" is already #2 on UK iTunes :O. I think a #1 is in their future.
Patiently awaiting the leak...I really need some new (also, good) music so it needs to come soon. As in today.
Elly's still a c**t though.

I'm ecstatic of course, but I just can't help wondering what she's done right compared to that other one...

Yes. They're also unapologetically mainstream, whereas Boots is neither fish nor flesh: too bland for complete indie dominance, and not catchy and memorable enough for the pop charts.

La Roux currently has 7-1 odds to win the Mercury Music Prize.

I think La Roux will probably take the Mercury Prize. Florence's album sounds way too overproduced to me, and she seems like the main competition.

When it does, can you hook me up TGAC. I've been waiting forever! I wanna hear this to compare to Little Boots. Initially, I was a fan of Boots but her CD is kinda disappointing, hopefully La Roux can bring the heat.

What's what.cd? Is it a torrent site? Yeah, invite-only like the defunct Oink.

Really like the album. It's a bit hard to take in all at once (and it's also a tad samey so at times it feels like one long song), but it's very solid. I think my favorites right now are "Tigerlily", "Cover My Eyes", "Reflections are Protection" and of course "Bulletproof"

"Tigerlily" is f**king killer. Isn't it? I tink 'Tigerlily', 'As If By Magic', 'Armour Love' and of course the singles are my favourites at the moment. Not really up for 'I'm Not Your Toy' as the next single.

Call me lazy for not rephrasing my thoughts, but since Phil asked me what I think of the album on my last.fm page... Ctrl + C; Ctrl + V ;)

Ctrl + C; Ctrl + V ;) I got an exclusive. ;) Agreed, though - the ballads are surprisingly strong.

As If By Magic, Fascination, Tigerlily and Reflections Are Protection are my faves, in that order. <3 Those songs + In For The Kill, Quicksand & Bulletproof make this a pretty amazing album. I only liked.. 2 songs off 'Hands' lmao. Poor Boots.

I agree with the songs on your list, Sakura. Though I'd put them in a different order. However, I think Cover My Eyes deserves to be in the list aswell. That is one crazyhot winter ballad!

"Bulletproof" debuts at #1 in the UK with 80k copies sold. If I had reservations about them releasing the album on the strength of the second single instead of doing so as "In for the Kill" was peaking, well, they were just SMASHED.

Might go for Little Boots and Flo + The Machine as well. 2009 really is a year for women! Which festival, btw?
