Everyone says that. I disagree. Sure she's not the best-looking girl, but she's not hideous to the eyes and repulsive--she's just very average. Agreed. I think she looks very androgynous. Perhaps intentionally so... I don't know but it really suits her. And I love her hair. lol. As for the comments on the album sounding the same.. I don't know, perhaps I just pick up on individual songs nuances quickly, but I find each track rather unique. The lyrical content and melodies are all very different to me. As If By Magic does not sound like Tigerlily which doesn't sound like Cover My Eyes... shrugs. It's an electro pop album so needless to say there's going to be a cohesive soundscape they're working with overall, but come on.. lol. I do think the tracklisting could have been tweaked a bit, the first four tracks should be split up.

So I finally heard the album via youtube (I am so ashamed) and for the most part I understand the hype, the album is fairly strong I feel "Tigerlily", "Colourless Color", "I'm Not Your Toy", "Cover My Eyes" and "Armour Love" are the stand outs of the disc barring the singles (with the exception of "In For The Kill" I just can't get into that one) of course. The production is very unique and quirky in an Ace Of Base kind of style and they do have a knack for barring up electro beats with ska type of island sounds in a few songs as well so I am impressed. I can see how she stole Little Boots thunder even though I think they more or less equal each other out.

I really hope they release Tigerlily or As If By Magic... Or Fascination. But they're already up to single number 4.. not too sure how well I'm Not Your Toy will do.. I'm guessing top 10 if only because of momentum.

Such a consistent album.

No love for "Cover My Eyes"? What is wrong with you people?! >:(
But yes, AIBM or Tigerlily should have been next.

I think 'Cover My Eyes' is a sure hit. Am I delusional? I'd say a proper release is in the cards. And I would hope not. I like. I do. Without an ounce of effort, her best video to date. Anyone else enamored by the, well, minimalistic dance troupe featured?

The album was released on US iTunes today. It's currently #26 on the album chart. "Bulletproof" is the free single of the week, so that should help spur sales.

This is probably my fave album on the year if only due to a handful of extremely strong tracks that I can't get enough of. :o

Will it be in stores this Tuesday because I don't see anything in the Best Buy or Target online ads?

I agree! It has quickly become one of my favorites of the year. I first heard the song in remixed form as many remixes have been completed. Remixes of La Roux's songs, particularly "Bulletproof" and "In For The Kill" are quite good. I'll check out the album soon.

Bought the physical cd last night for $10.99 at Best Buy. I'm glad the lyrics were included in the booklet.

"Bulletproof" is currently #34 on Pop. It also debuted at #92 on the Hot 100 last week. Here's their performance on Ellen:
I'm still not over the album.

^It seems like it's starting to fizzle unfortunately, and since it's on American pop radio, I suppose it can be expected. Still, not bad. Correction, Bulletproof is actually doing well! Hopefully it becomes a sizeable hit.

This week, "Bulletproof" jumps 48-36 on the Hot 100, while the album re-enters the Billboard 200 at #187; it's its second week on the chart, after it debuted at #170 about six months ago.

A) wow she's actually pretty good live B) Tigerlily is fucking hot C) My only complaint is they need a little variety in their sound. Their stuff seems to blend together after a whie.

I still love this album a year later lmao. Now that they're making it big I anticipate the Sophomore album even more so, they have more hype and money behind them now.
