They curated Sidetracked, a compilation featuring a studio version of "Under My Thumb" by the Rolling Stones, which they've been featuring on their live sets lately. The disc is out at the end of the month. 01) Japan – I Second That Emotion 02) Heaven 17 – Come Live With Me 03) Joyce Sims – (You Are My) All And All 04) Hally & Kongo Band – Afrikan Man 05) Fever Ray – When I Grow Up (D. Lissvik Version) 06) Doris Troy – Just One Look 07) Freur – Doot Doot 08) Jam Crew – Exotic Nations 09) Ellis, Beggs & Howard – Big Bubbles, No Troubles 10) Fox The Fox – Precious Little Diamond 11) Tears For Fears – Suffer The Children 12) Blancmange – What’s Your Problem 13) I Blame Coco – Self Machine (Coconut Candy ‘No Need For Plastic Palm Trees’ Elly Jackson Remix) 14) Paul Haig – Big Blue World 15) Kavinsky – Testarossa Autodrive (SebastiAn Remix) 16) La Roux – Under My Thumb 17) Gerry Rafferty – Right Down The Line In other news, their debut album peaks at #70 on the Billboard 200 this week; on the Hot 100, "Bulletproof" peaked at #8 several weeks ago, and is still holding strong at #13 this week.

Has there been any particular info about their 2nd album at all? A tentative release date perhaps... ?

I wonder if the label changed their mind and are going with Tigerlily instead of In For The Kill in the US. It doesn't make sense to release Tigerlily now in the UK. I mean, "I'm Not Your Toy" was released almost a year ago. lol

I dunno, perhaps they can 'afford' to milk the album a bit more now due to the success of Bulletproof. Either way it'd be nice if they can go a few singles deep into the album in the US before a new album coming out. :)
This is from facebook:
North American Tour Announcement
Today at 2:40am Elly has been struggling with bronchitis for the last few months and after her show in LA contracted pharyngitis.
Her doctor has advised her to rest for three weeks so unfortunately she’ll be unable to continue with her American tour.
We are endeavouring to re schedule as many of the cancelled shows for November as possible , an announcement will be made shortly.
Not good news. :(

I love all the album + singles covers La Roux has released... especially the Bulletproof + Sidetracked covers. I absolutely can't get enough of their image.

For me the first 6 songs are top notch, the rest are solid too, it's a really great album all around.

I still love the album, but their version of "Under My Thumb" sort of stinks.

So has In for the Kill been confirmed as the second single release in the US?

^I sense a folk/dream-pop, possibly Seventh Tree-esque sophomore album.
