I <3 Alicia & her last two albums. Here's hoping she knocks it out of the park again.

There were some pics of her with Alejandro Sanz last week. I'm betting she's gonna have a duet on his album or something.

I thoroughly enjoyed "As I Am," even though people panned her for being stagnant muscially and relying on cliches. Excited for her new material!

I do hope she stays away from Linda Perry though, her songwriting is very cliché.

Even though I love all three of her albums, As I Am as a whole was not worth a four year wait, so I'm glad she's not taking as long this time.

Honestly, I've bought all three of her albums and each one overall is boring as hell. The best thing about Alicia is that she ALWAYS picks the right singles and her live performances are off the chain. My favorite song of hers is Like You'll Never See Me Again. It. Is Classic. As I Am was boring and nothing like Diary.

As I Am was top-heavy for me. Towards the end of the album, it started to wane.

"As I Am" was a disappointment for me. Her first two albums are gems. I did love "TLA" and "LYNSMA." Hopefully she gets it right with this fourth album.

^"Teenage Love Affair" was my jam! But "Tell You Something" is probably my favorite song from the album, it's such a beautiful track.
The album wasn't as good/hot as The Diary Of Alicia Keys but I thought it was a solid record overall. "Sure Looks Good To Me" probably was the worst track, very boring and insipid.

I need Alicia to give me "Diary of Alicia Keys" type of material this go-around! Not "As I Am" because that was really boring and had no "umph" to it. I also want AKeys to do a club joint or two...spice it up and uptempo it for a change.

I think No One, Like You'll Never..., Tell You Somethin', and I Need You were great tracks, but the rest are filler. JMO.

"Tell You Something", "I Need You" and "Lesson Learned" were my favorites from that album. I thought they all should've been singles before "Teenage Love Affair" and "Superwoman", however not surprised those two were singles.
Alicia does not need to do any club joints. She's fine the way she is, that why we have other artists for that, Alicia isn't that.
I hope her and Mayer work again together. Throw in Krucial in the mix, you have a great record on the way, imo.

Yeah she should be wary of club joints. The sound of her best songs is timeless imo. No One could have been released at any time from the 1950s to today and still be huge.

Ugh, I find it hard to rank these albums, it depends on my mood. Any one could be #1 for me, but most of the time I rank "Song in A Minor" first because I relate to it the most. While I think "As I Am" flows the best out of the three, "Diary" has this timeless feel to it though. "Unplugged" contains probably her best record to date, "Stolen Moments", however I can listen to all four throughout and don't skip (which is rare to me, normally I deleted songs after awhile).

I guess I'm in the minority, but As I Am is easily my favorite of Alicia's albums. I do really like her first two, but As I Am was on a completely different level, IMO.

The only hit was NO ONE on her 3rd CD. All her other ghetto love singles flopped at Pop.
