She is going to experience major burn out from the public soon. There is no way she can have at least three more singles from the Fame Monster after Bad Romance (which is still going now) with Telephone charging up the Top 40 chart, and then release another album and have singles from this one as well. I think by spring/summer people are going to be sick of her. She will be going on her 7th/8th single by then? Then she wants to turn out another album?

I'm a bit concerned about it, but at the rate other artists have released in the past (Madonna mainly but others), if they can do it then Lady GaGa surely can follow in their footsteps and not burn out to the general public. Plus all of her songs have been huge hits, she has a huge following now.

Madonna took two/three years break even when she was hot. Even Rihanna and Katy Perry the it girls of 07' and 08' took two years to do their follow-ups. She is coming out way too fast.

I can see her pulling a Mariah early 90's and completely dominating. As long as the quality is there, I don't see why she wouldn't top the charts. She can't sustain this level of buzz for that long, but chart success/airplay/sales I think, barring she take an "artsy" risk a la My December, Try This, or Rated R, can definitely remain as high as they are now.

New Album will be out in November 2010 :o , and they are still having 4 singles from Fame Monster! I think "Speechless" is the perfect choice because it'll be her 7th single and its something different and refreshing :)

There'll probably only be one more single after Telephone anyway.

I don't think it's too soon for another Gaga album. Strike while the iron's hot. Mariah used to release albums practically ever year of the 90's. Jay-z has been releasing albums practically every year since his debut. If anything, it would be worse for her to wait because she's the kind of artist right now that everyone is looking to see what she'll do next.
This thread, however, seems a bit early.

It will probably go like this: -Bad Romance, November 2009-Febrauary 2010 -Telephone, February 2010-May 2010 -Speechless, May 2010-July 2010 (the label will be ready to release a brand new single even as soon as June after this one) -Monster,June or July 2010(will depend on Speechless's success)-September -Come Back Single, September. GaGa and her record label have scheduled everything perfectly. This is how Katy Perry should have launch her career. Germanotta has already written single material for the rest of her contract. She really is the female Max Martin.

I think this album needs to be pushed until next December or late November. TFM still has hits on it (Monster, Speechless) and I think that after those hits come out, she needs some resting time away from radio so people don't get sick of her

I doubt anything will be released after Speechless, and I doubt Speechless will be a huge hit, so she'll probably have a good 5-6 month break. That's fine.

I think "Speechless" is going to be released as the fourth single from TFM. I have a feeling she'll do "Monster" after "Telephone", just because it's a sure-hit and "Speechless" is not.

I think 'Monster' should be released over 'Speechless'. She needs to keep her record of #1s on CHR as long as possible

She's going to burn out if she releases it this fast, unless Speechless is released as the 3rd single from TFM and flops and then she waits until her album to release another song...that won't be so bad. But I still think she should push this back to early 2011.

I agree. This is too much, too soon. People DO get tired of artists who are overplayed constantly. Beyonce, anyone? I've had several RL conversations with people who used to like Beyonce but don't anymore because she's "so overexposed and overplayed."
Gaga *will* fall into that trap if she's not careful.
3 studio albums in 2 years is too much.

Beyonce seems like a weird example because she is still selling TONS and having huge hits one after another. If she follows Beyonce's tracks she will be lucky. I don't think it is too soon at all if she doesn't release a million songs from the cd. Sometimes Gaga says stuff that are overly ambitious and they don't always happen (like, when she claimed she wanted 4-5 singles from this EP, but saying she wants 4-5 singles doesn't mean her label will allow and fully promote 4-5 singles)
If she releases one more after Telephone it will work out. That will be several months of no Gaga and the new single will probably be released in the beginning of October rather than beginning of September. 2008-2010 is not that bad as most people probably see it as the same era with just a re-release attached.
If the song is hot and if she doesn't release 4-5 hugely successful singles from this era I think she will be just fine.

But what if she does release 4 singles off TFM? She's already released 2.
People need time away or else it's just overkill.
BTW, I'm not some hater. I think TFM is effing brilliant, but I do think it's too soon to release another album this year if she wants a full set of singles off of TFM as well.

I think that's a bit soon too, but perhaps the album may get delayed a little. I think early 2011 is just right.

She has only released one so far that I know of. Telephone is the second single and will probably get released in early February. I won't worry about what ifs at the moment. I though releasing Paparazzi and Bad Romance pretty much back-to-back would destroy one or both songs and somehow they both became hugely massive and she is loved more than ever at the moment. We will see how it works out. If it IS another Paparazzi/Bad Romance moment with no time between releases at all than I think it is a bit too much.

Lady Gaga has stated that she will constantly be putting out new material. I wouldn't be surprised if she remained on the pop charts without falling off for years at a time.

I actually don't think it's too fast and I think it's probably a great idea- so long as the songs are good, that is what it comes down to. I also think to strike while the iron's hot-

Everybody always says that artists crash and burn when they are overplayed. But (1) if the songs are good, there is no "overplaying", and (2) there isn't a single example I can think of where this was actually true. In fact, it's when an artist becomes overplayed, and the radio is eating up hit after hit, that they become superstars (Beyonce, Alicia, Kelly, Rihanna, Gaga, Justin, etc.). It's when they take long breaks and then come back with just okay material that they flop.

I wouldn't say they 'crash and burn' but eventually people are going to get tired of you if you're constantly on the radio or you're constantly all over the place. You have to make them miss you a bit so that you build hype and anticipation for your next project. Overexposure is definitely something that you have to watch out for or people will just get sick of you. And there are definitely some good examples - think Beyonce with Video Phone, Rihanna with Rehab...
I guess it really depends on how "GaGa crazy" everyone still is by the end of the year. If they're still in love with her she'll probably be OK, but if they're starting to tire of her she might have a bit of problem. There will be new artists and returning artists this year too that might take some of the spotlight away from her and calm the GaGa craze a bit.
