+117 today, updates have fallen a lot this week. I wouldn't be worried, except I've been much, much too optimistic with songs I like lately so I am slightly worried Wouldn't be really worried. It had a huge week last week with the buzz from the VMA performance so that may be why things are slowish.

That is so crazy that GaGa has been able to accomplish a feat like that in 3 years what has taken some 10+ :O

When someone looks at the Hot 100, is there a distinction between "real" and "fake" singles. Or official and not-official, I guess. No there's "singles" and then there's "songs". The only 2 singles that were official during the iTunes countdown were BTW and Judas. EOG was determined to be a single a few weeks after it's release. Hair was never a single, simply a "song" at the time of release (like EOG was).

Nope. Even if "Hair" did debut in the Top 10, it's not an official single so it wouldn't count. Don't count for what? Why do you exclude songs that "don't count" from a chart that counts them? Okay, GaGa has 11 consecutive Hot 100 Top 10 singles. Singles. Not songs. GaGa has released 11 songs as radio singles since The Fame, and all 11 of them have gone Top 10 on the Hot 100. The only other artist to beat that feat was apparently Mariah Carey, who had 12 of her singles consecutively hit Top 10 on the Hot 100. "Hair" was not an official single, so it would not count in that tally for GaGa unless it was to become a single.

Hair isn't an official single from BTW so it won't count. So in case Hair made top 10, Gaga wouldn't be considered to break Mariah's record? (12 consecutive top 10s). I want to know what Billboard say about this Nope. Even if "Hair" did debut in the Top 10, it's not an official single so it wouldn't count.

So, Gaga just ties Mariah's record this week. to have 11 consecutive singles hitting top 10. Mariah ended the streak with Anytime You Need A Friend which peaked at #12. But how about Hair which missed top 10? But it was just a promotional single. ??? Hair isn't an official single from BTW so it won't count.

They need to start a new album I think. Why ruin this era with anything less than perfection? lol

B. The hair on her right side is really badly blended into the background and it's bothering me.

The "Judas" music video has just broken 100 million views on YouTube, the first video from BTW to do so!

It's an insult to the other artists and companies who achieved the same feat with full prices. Don't even play that card. So were you OK that Katy Perry released remixes of her singles ET and LFN to get to #1 on the Hot 100, or is that an insult to every other artist who has "achieved the same feat" the right way

To all you saying BM would flop, Hair would flop harder than this in a second.

I'd say this song has about a 0% chance of top 10 this coming week. Why? It's already Top 10 and is obviously headed straight to #1 on iTunes. Once iTunes got the advertisements up, this shot the hell up the chart.

Looks like Gaga is never gonna live down that Amazon sale. And she shouldn't. She really did cheat her way to the million mark. But as long as she/her label accomplished what they wanted, I don't really think they care. Lol BTW is still gonna sell more in the long run than TC4 even without the Amazon promotion. You mad?

Interesting....From HDD:
HIS WAYNE IS TRUE
Weezy's Tha Carter IV Tops a Million; Red Hot Chili Peppers, David Guetta, Jake Owen Bow
September 6, 2011
Lil Wayne is a Weezy rider. The best-selling hip-hop icon’s new Cash Money/Universal Republic album, Tha Carter IV, debuts at #1 on the HITS sales chart with a total of 1 million plus, nearly matching the 1.005 million sold by the previous edition of the series in June, 2008.
Warner Bros. veteran funk-rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers’ I’m With You is #2 with a total of 232k, a little more than half of its previous release, Stadium Arcadium’s 443k in May ’06.
Astralwerks/Capitol/EMI dance music ruler David Guetta’s Nothing but the Beat (#5) and RCA Nashville country star Jake Owens’ Barefoot Blue Jean Night (#6) are the other Top 10 newcomers in a chart dominated by sharp rises from MTV VMA performers.
The indomitable Adele tops that last, up a whopping 88% for her XL/Columbia best-seller 21, now #3 with another 155k added to its 3 million-plus total, ahead of fellow VMA performers Jay Z and Kanye West, whose Roc-a-Fella/Roc Nation release, Watch the Throne, solidifies at #4, down just 9%.
Expectant Columbia chanteuse Beyonce has more than a pregnancy bump to celebrate, too, with 4 up 85% at #7.
Interscope’s Game (#8), Columbia’s Barbra Streisand (#9) and Capitol/EMI’s Now 39 round out the leader board.
Other new chart entries go to Roadrunner’s Lenny Kravitz (#17), Fueled by Ramen’s Cobra Starship (#30), Hidden Beach’s Jill Scott From the Vault (#34), Surfdog’s Glen Campbell (#40) and Roadrunner’s Young the Giant, which cracks the Top 50, thanks to its searing VMA performance, which included lead singer Sameer Gadhia flying head-first into a mosh pit.
XL/Beggars Banquet’s Tyler, the Creator (#49) and Interscope’s LMFAO (#50) also re-entered.
The week’s biggest double-digit gainers all benefited from VMA exposure. In addition to Adele (whose 19 also moves #24-16, +57%) and Beyonce, that includes Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Republic’s Nicki Minaj (#38-26, +32%), Jive/JLG’s Chris Brown (#47-41, +32%), New Elektra’s Bruno Mars (#36-27, +29%) and Startime/Columbia’s Foster the People (#11, +26%). Universal Republic’s Kelly Rowland (#50-46, +37%) is the other big mover.
Hitting retail this week are MCA Nashville’s George Strait and Mind Kit/Fontana’s Lindsey Buckingham.
