LoveGame used to be one of my favorites, then I realized, while it's not a bad song by any means, it's just NOT that good. It doesn't have the amazing synths that "Poker Face" and "Just Dance" had, and the inherent sadness that lingered in "Paparazzi", the dark, almost industrial feeling of "Bad Romance" or the understated haunting feeling that "Telephone" had. I feel like this is the same problem with "Alejandro". It's a good song, but it doesn't have that defining characteristic that made all the others such powerful songs. "Alejandro" has strings, and "LoveGame" has what sound like synth trumpets, but not much else.
This is just me, but I actually believe that the Robots To Mars remix of "LoveGame" is superior to the original.

hasn't Alejandro only sold 1,000,000 copies? I don't think I will pass Paparazzi. (2.5 million) LoveGame sold 2.0+ million. Maybe it could pass that. And Telephone has so far sold 2.2 million.
I definitely feel like "Alejandro" will be her lowest selling single, but we'll see.

Actually, LoveGame peaked with 250 ish spins lower than what this has at the moment, it's still a pretty big hit. The fresh competition just overshadowed it, without a particular two songs that were released while this was half way through it's run, it wouldn't of had any trouble hitting the top. Just bad luck I suppose. This, I can agree with you on. We have a much bigger panel today, so despite it only peaking at #4, it still did better than a very large number of past #1s.

And BTW, KELLUMINATI = . This will be an amazing era, I can tell already. I know!!! I'm thinking of Buying Kelly a headpiece that she can wear in one of her videos. It'll look something like this... really... an Uroboros? of all things? lmao

I actually think this is a good idea. Commander would smash as a follow up but maybe not as a lead single here. This sounds like it could go at least top 30. that's what i'm saying! P:

You'd better be directing that at the overzealous kelly stans and not me simply for pointing out a truth. actually i'm directing it at the condescending overzealous GaGa stan, but thanks for acting holier-than-thou again (not like it was unexpected). i don't understand how somebody who is so gender ambiguous can be so self-righteous and sure of themselves.

Gaga's song peaked lower than MLWSWY. Haha. You'd have to compare that to GaGa's 7th consecutive single, to make MLWSWY which was a 1st single for that album seem like any sort of hit compared to any GaGa single.

Yeah, I remember I was also completely convinced Rihanna would be a one-hit-wonder, so I'm going with GGGB, and I think I'm Not Dead or even Funhouse was more career defining than her second album.

imo "Hurt" was a hookless mess. How it did well is beyond me.
I think most of the ballads from "Bionic" are better and should by that theory outperform "Hurt" but ... she doesn't really have the radio clout she did 4 years ago. especially with "NMT" flopping.

1. Commander 2. The Sound / On & On
3. Rose Colored Glasses 4. Shake Them Haters Off
5. Grown Woman
IMO i think they might be trying to get her a little more radio following and hype with a small hit before unleashing 'Commander'.

Considering how many freaking tracks Lil Wayne is featured on that flop in all sorts of spectacular ways, I really don't think so.
I think most of these songs were actually crap though, maybe aside from "Break Your Heart"

"Poker Face" - "Bad Romance" was the most attractive GaGa. I just can't @ her look from that point on. (However, I can't recall what it's from, but I did like that sparkly/fairy/sorta-reminded-me-of-the-cosmos Dress she wore to.. something?)

Well, I personally love it when the things I watch or listen to have cohesive messages that actually work well together. But hey, maybe it's just like me who likes things that aren't nonsense.
calculations have been and are often incorrect and filled with mistakes. This is a prime example.
The song itself has no iconoclastic imagery, so that was very left-field and unexpected. It makes little to no sense as to why it's even there.
No, the videos I watch aren't "trite" and don't have "literal translations", they have thematically logical plot lines and imagery. A video's effect is much more effective when you don't have a song giving the exact opposite idea.
