So I've gotten super-into this personal chart thing. I am wondering about others' methodologies. Mine is basically the iTunes play count, with the skip count subtracted, for "net spins." I'm not sure how I'll decide when a song goes 'recurrent.' Perhaps if it drops from the top 20, and later earns enough spins to return, I'll consider it recurrent. Once I get a firmer system in place, perhaps I will expand my list to top 40, but for now, I think 20 is enough.... Personally I like having slower turn-over rates. Each play gets a song 10,000 points. Each time i watch the video, the song gets 15,000 points (but if it's a case like Telephone, since it's so long, the song will get 20,000 points.) My chart is Top 50 and ANYTHING is eligible to chart. No recurrents, etc.

^ Ouch. I was gonna say, it only takes Ayumi Hamasaki about 2 weeks to record an album, but she works non-stop. Every day of the week. Sunrise to sunset.
Although in Japan they usually release a number of songs before the album (her most recent album had 5 tracks released prior to the album)

^ They said her 2nd album as far as I know, which could be within the next 6 months or so.
Apparently they want her to cultivate an image before being on the X Factor, because to Americans she'll seem like "just another random pop star", but if she is already famous here, Americans will "know her story" and "be able to relate to Cheryl".
Basically, what they seem to have said is, if she's still unknown here when they start X-Factor, she won't be a judge.

i recently started an albums chart, but it's only from 2010 on, so there's only 21 weeks of data so far.
Anyway, "The Fame" and "The Fame Monster" are charting together.
Lady GaGa - The Fame Monster: #1 (2 Weeks) | Yearly (so far): #3 | 17,000,000 points 3 > 5 > 3 > 2 > 4 > 2 > 1 > 1 > 2 > 2 > 2 > 5 > 6 > 5 > 6 > 7 > 10 > 8 > 11 > 12 > 14

Guess it pays off to have a 'c' or 'k' in your name. 9 of the 10 contestants have either or both letters in their name. Just my useless trivia for the day. I guess that's true that having a 'c' or 'k' in your name is good luck.. I mean, the one person who DOESN'T have a 'c' or 'k' in their name had pretty much her whole family murdered.

"Dance In The Dark" would be the riskier choice, but if it succeeds IMO it could be the era's biggest hit after "Bad Romance" (not including the first 4) since "Monster" sounds just like someone put "Just Dance", "Poker Face", and "LoveGame" is a blender, drank it, and then vomited it out -- effectively removing everything that make the original 3 good.

^ thank youuuu.
"Womanizer" and "Circus" are too of the best, most well-made videos to come out of the last few years. Stay pressed y'all. "Circus" was also a much more cohesive (less boring) album than "I Am... Sasha Fierce" and a much more diverse album than "The Fame Monster". "Telephone" was a plain bad video, end of story.

I do the charts for another forum, and we do the "AHS 100" which is very similar to the "Pulse 100" we do here. 3 weeks ago, this song appeared at #133, but climbed to #31 and is currently #12 on this week's building charts.
Good sign? ;p Especially 'cause AHS is a J-Pop (Ayumi Hamasaki) forum where most people DO NOT listen to English music. ("Whataya Want From Me" has so far peaked at #13)

Okay, on my way to school I was listening to the radio (whatever station my mom listens to), and they were talking about the video.
Anyway, the girl DEFINITELY said "and in the video, Miley is seen gyrating with her pussy" and then everyone was like "....WHAT??" and she said "Miley is seen gyrating with her posse."

Maybe this will help to expose Ayu on Pulse a little bit more. However, I have a strong feeling this will be Ayu's peak on the Pulse 100.

No s**t. However, I was addressing everyone about a completely unrelated topic than the previous post I made which was about a specific thing to a specific person, hence a separate post would be both more fitting and noticeable. Thanks for your concern though, albeit ever so petty. ;) shh it's just tough love. you know you're my favorite, sakura.

I really like Bionic. WooHoo has grown on me A LOT. I still like Not Myself Tonight.
I Hate Boys and You Lost Me aren't that great to me, however.
I'll almost definitely purchase the album, however.
