Hmmm. Very disappointing. Maybe they don't want it to be overshadowed by all the VMA stuff coming up? problem is there will always be something to overshadow it, so if not now then when?

I like that Taylor is running this press conference herself. Britney can't even handle a live interview. FYI: I just got a warning from the Mods for this comment. I honestly did not mean anything when I said it. It was just an off hand remark. I like Britney Spears. I liked Work Bitch. But, her being asked an unscripted question made national news!!!There was only a problem when an overly sensitive stan blew it out of proportion!! The warnings here are completely ridiculous! Only certain people here get warnings. People who are not besties with the Mods. How many warning were handed out to the Beyonce fans when they started treating everyone like sh*t last December??? How many warning were handed out to the Kelly Clarkson fans when they started treating 2m like s**t because, heaven forbid, he though her Xmas album was not going to sell well??? I PM the Mods and NO ONE gets back to me. Lol I got suspended for a few jokes, some of which were about Britney, who I do like, and they were only jokes not meant to be taken seriously - pretty much the same as yours, I think the mods here must be huge Britney stans who you can't say a bad word against.

I wish people would just shut the f**k up about cultural appropriation, its getting old now. I hate this response more than anything. I understand people don't want a complex, sensitive, negative topic surrounding their fave's first single, but considering all the mundane, useless s**t that is analyzed and discussed in every CHR thread (e.g., popularity bars), the grander and important discussion of cultural appropriation--even when some feel it is mishandled or used too broadly--should never be considered problematic or "old" (Jesus wtf) in its own right. ETA: If you don't think it applies, explain why. But trying to shut it down by shutting it up is a really ugly look. The reason I said its getting old is because whenever a singer does something that looks like it is not exactly their culture, everyone goes ''OMG cultural appropriation!!'' and yes it is very boring now to hear over and over, over nothing, its completely mindless and stupid, and seems to be a big trend for people to just point out any chance they get without backing it up, which is exactly what the first post did.

only 3.2m views after like 11 hours, well there is no way this is taking any vevo record.
Anyone think this era could be the next Teenage Dream?

LeAnn Rimes going back to country was a totally different situation though as her return there seemed desperate after she had flopped with her pop album(s?). I doubt the same will happen with Taylor since her transition has already been tested with Red and it worked 100%. If this era is successful she can basically do any genre she wants with the next album and no one will have anything to criticize her for. Plus, I'm sure the fans she'll gain in Europe, Australia etc. with this new album will more than make up for any losses within the US-based country audience. Plus Taylors a lot bigger than Leanne Rimes was, so she has that advantage too.

Nothing to do with this, but didnt know where to ask, has Kworb been shut down, I can't seem to access it? I think he is experiencing some problems with the site. It's not the first time. I hope he will be able to fix it soon, i really miss the updates on the other formats Nothing to do with this, but didnt know where to ask, has Kworb been shut down, I can't seem to access it? I read somewhere else that it's been down for a while. I overslept today so I can be here for Taylor's debut, hehe. Its back! right in time to witness Taylor's impending slayage.

I just hope its more modern than Chasing The Sun. Just because 'Chasing the Sun' isn't EDM or a pussy-popper doesn't mean that it's not modern. It is modern. Anyway, I can't wait to hear this! I'm glad that the label isn't wasting any more time or resources on 'CtS'...it's pretty evident that that song is going nowhere, so it's good that they've decided to move on to single #2. No. Just no.

I just don't know if there is a market there for a new Britney album anymore. I feel like she's veered too far into the Famous-For-Being-Famous zone to have new music taken seriously. Everything about this statement is ridiculous. Britney has and never will be known for "being famous for being famous". Is that why she's on a sold out Vegas gig? Not exactly sold out is it? The third leg has 48,901 / 49,290 close to sold out but not quite, doubt the next leg will be sold out either.

Would it break some record if this album opened with a million? also whats the most a single has ever opened with? has that ever been a million? Flo Rida's "Right Round" currently holds the record for the highest digital single debut with 636K. Taylor came close to this with "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," which sold 623K its first week. Thats the song that holds the record? what the hell, so random lol was it even that big?

Why are people saying Ariana Grande? just because she currently has a hit? it takes more than that to make a career, Miley is already approaching 10 years of being in the business - she is obviously the most talked about and most famous and has far out peaked the others and shown she can go away for a while (2010 - 2013) and then come back with something huge, she also seems like the one who cares most about being hugely popular and in the spotlight.

to be fair it will probably be in the same vain as Chasing The Sun, since she said the whole album is really acoustic folky poppy, and she said its kind of just like her old music and that there is no electronic music on the album. I just hope its more modern than Chasing The Sun.

Well all of sudden she was back in NYC today, went to iHeart Radio HQ and had a meeting at RCA It has to be coming most definitley sooner than later, with the writers/producers all teasing about it, but more importantly Savan. I noticed since I started following him he only tweets about songs/artists that are releasing immediately. Plus Savan didn't give us the time a day when we asked about Hilary in the past and now he is responding to fans. Also Jeff the music insider tweeted she was planning the new single, it's all on twitter. Take my word for it, trust me. If that's the plan, thank god. It seemed too odd that RCA would just release a music video of a mediocre song and no other promotion as her comeback single. It seemed like they had something up their sleeve. I'll take your word for it lol. Any timeline of the next single? Btws, I'm kinda pleasantly surprised Chasing the Sun debuted on the Hot 100. It beat Stranger (which was significantly underrated and under-charted) To be fair they flew airplanes over around 10 major US cities with a banner saying ''HILARY DUFF - CHASING THE SUN - JULY 29''

I wonder how far off Gold this is, must be close, its been on the billboard 200 for about 14 months and debuted at number 1 with 106,000.
