Even though I adore "Spirit Indestructible", "Parking Lot" does sound like the hit she desperately needs in the US right now.
Regardless, I don't really see anything turning this era into a huge success but that's sort of out of my mind since I love the music.
Also, the new version of Turn Off The Light was perfect.

"Parking Lot" is the new "Turn off the light"!!!!
Parking Lot is amazing SHOULD'VE been the first single!! Interscope officially sucks. How they couldn't tell this was a hit is ridiculous..I'm afraid this era is past saving at this point commericially even if they WAKE UP and release this

I actually do think Parking Lot might have been a viable first single for Nelly in the US; however, I don't know if it's strong enough to rebuild the buzz for her at this point. Regardless, I'll still be *jamming* to it the rest of the summer.  |

Interscope fucked up big time. Big Hoops should've never been a single tbh, Parking Lot would've launched this era so much better.

"Parking Lot" sounds like a flop, IMO. She just needs to release this album. As others have said, I don't see anything reviving interest in her or this project right now.

'Parking Lot" is a solid song and is miles better than "Big Hoops" and "Spirit Indestructible". I'm now reinterested in this album.

I can't understand a single word she is saying in "Parking Lot." The first 2 or 3 listens i couldn't make out the lyrics but now I can make out the majority of them. It's definitely a feel good sing a long type of record that should have been the lead single. |

 The studio version sounds like a demo. Who the f**k OK'd the track like that? Oh and don't get me started on the vocals that sound like they haven't been mixed properly  I love her but this album is gonna flop to oblivion :'( |

Fu** I'm so upset right now.
After I heard Parking Lot live I was like "Omg this should be a single it will probably go top 10" after hearing radio edit "WHAT THE HELL? What is this piece of crap?"
At this state, while I am a Nelly fan this song deserves to flop. I'm sure there are great tracks where she doesn't sound like she's high on the album so I don't want the album to flop
I agree with Prince B, who the hell approved of this track? Truly does sound like a demo. They should just replace it with the live version.

That is the live AOL Sessions performance, which is much better than the studio version. However, I do think that the posted full studio clip does sound better than the posted radio edit. |
