HITS probably will post in the afternoon. If the competition is high, Aguilera's soundtrack may not debut in the top 10.

I think Susan will challenge Minaj for the #2 spot. Her album will obviously increase during the Thanksgiving week and after her performance on the TS yesterday.

Susan's album is better than Nicki's album. So I wouldn't be shocked but even then I decided to buy just the songs I liked with her album as well as Nicki's album.

WEST’S FANTASY TURNS INTO REALITY Kanye’s Latest to Debut #1, Nicki Minaj #2, as Black Friday Looms November 24, 2010 Kanye West’s Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy just got a lot brighter. The Roc-A-Fella/IDJ renaissance hip-hop icon and awards show provocateur lives up to his own lofty ambitions with a chart-topping debut for his latest rap opus, on target for between 525-575k, surpassing all pre-release forecasts. That tops the total registered by 808s and Heartbreak, which bowed on almost the same week last year with 450k. Those figures are based on those intrepid music retailers not being full body-scanned at our nation’s airports by the frisky TSA. Cash Money/Universal Motown’s red-hot Nicki Minaj also bested pre-release predictions, with a total in the 375-425k range for her hotly anticipated debut, Pink Friday, though the upcoming Black Friday could render these estimates a little less accurate than usual. Reprise emo-rock standard bearers My Chemical Romance’s fourth studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, their first since 2006’s The Black Parade, is on target for between 125-150k. Def Jam/IDJ R&B songwriter/producer Ne-Yo’s fourth album, Libra Scale, should do in the 115-140k range. Kemosabe/RCA/RMG pop diva Ke$ha’s Cannibal EP, available separately and as part of a deluxe package with her debut Animal album, should do between 60-60k on its own. Lloyd Banks’ H.F.M. 21 (The Hunger for More 2), his first album for G-Unit under a deal with EMI Label Services, is off to a Top 10 start at iTunes, and should do between 40-50k in sales. RCA/RMG’s Burlesque soundtrack to the film co-starring Cher and Christina Aguilera, could do anywhere between 25-50k, depending on how the film, which opens today, fares at the box office. Rounding out the new releases are Jay-Z’s Hits album (25-30k), Arista Nashville’s Alan Jackson (20-25k) and Nine Inch Nails’ self-released Pretty Hate Machine reissue on their own Null label (17-20k). The market was up 29% vs. last week, up 2% vs. same week last year and still down 13% year to date. You may now go back to picking up the pieces of sky that are falling down. www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/newsPage.cgi?news08314m01

Did you actually listen to Nicki's Album Adonis. Yes all the way through....eeeek! It's just not a good album IMO....and yes VERY poppy. I wanted it to be a little bit poppy but it crosses a line for me...especially on tracks like Fly.

Am I the only one who's surprised by how high Ne-Yo-s numbers are considering the album's produced no significant hit?

What about Boyle and Jackie ? It seems that they are not that confident with their predictions this week.

I nailed around 25K for Burlesque! I didn't get why anyone was predicting higher. Maybe it will do closer to 50K though. Fabulous numbers for NIcki. I wonder how much Kesha will sell overall-the 60K figure is just for the EP right since it says "on its own"? I wonder if the album+EP will see a significant boost as well.

I'm surprised. This gives me hope for Ciara. And Keri Hilson? I think Miss keri has Hope but C-Error isnt getting any form of airplay anywhere. She seems to be cursed or something. Her new song is crazy though...

Hopefully the Burlesque Soundtrack will trend towards the 50k mark. Fantastic numbers for Kanye & Nicki, however.

I hate that Ciara's career is being so mismanaged. She has or had the potential to be huge for longer than she was.

Rather limp numbers for Burlesque- but not entirely surprising. Doesn't look like it will be top 10- may even miss top 20.

I don't see how the projection for Burlesque is OK, given all of the publicity the movie has released, all of the promo and a release during Thanksgiving week.

Can you give examples of musicals/soundtracks that have opened a lot higher? Most of the ones I know of did around the same? I know of a few exceptions like Mamma Mia, but did anyone expect this to be a Mamma Mia sized hit? If so, I want some of what you are having.

LOL Ne-Yo expected to debut higher than Ke$hit?? Ne-Yo's been like MIA for 2 years and she's had a big year. I was right on about her predictions though.

It has been given plenty of promo but you are not opening a movie with a-list actors. One is a hasbeen (I love you Cher) who hasn't had a hit musically or movie-wise in close to a decade and the other is not a hasbeen to me at least but dealing with her lowest point in her career...add luke warm/bad performances from her. Mixed reviews of the movie Wasn't expecting 100k by any means?
