I know :( And I genuinely thought after Fantasy Ride they would get it together...but they didn't. Shame on me but this STILL makes me smile: Laughing and crying....

Do you all think Nicki will continue to sell big throughout the holiday season or will it be particularly front-loaded?

Well, all non-holiday albums should see big declines in the post-Thanksgiving week, before climbing back up before Christmas. Minaj probably will sell alright enough.

Do you all think Nicki will continue to sell big throughout the holiday season or will it be particularly front-loaded? The only reason why I don't think this will be the case is because she has been so hyped up and now that the album is selling more than expected they are not going to do minimal promotion to allow it to be front loaded. I think they are hoping to ship 1M by year end and 2M by end of 2011. Plus, her whole thing is "reviving" female rap and it being a success throughout will be essential. Listening to these songs...I kind of wished she would have had a song like Save me instead of Right thru me (I like it but it is not memorable). Also songs like Moment for life, Fly with Riri, blazin with Kanye, Did it on em-a true rap track. They definitely have songs for 2011 to be released...you think you saw her everywhere in 2010...2011 will supercede this year.IMO.

I think you're crazy if you think The Union isn't taking Album of the Year next year.

Kanye’s Latest to Debut #1, Nicki Minaj #2, as Black Friday Looms
November 24, 2010
Kanye West’s Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy just got a lot brighter.
The Roc-A-Fella/IDJ renaissance hip-hop icon and awards show provocateur lives up to his own lofty ambitions with a chart-topping debut for his latest rap opus, on target for between 525-575k, surpassing all pre-release forecasts. That tops the total registered by 808s and Heartbreak, which bowed on almost the same week last year with 450k.
Those figures are based on those intrepid music retailers not being full body-scanned at our nation’s airports by the frisky TSA.
Cash Money/Universal Motown’s red-hot Nicki Minaj also bested pre-release predictions, with a total in the 375-425k range for her hotly anticipated debut, Pink Friday, though the upcoming Black Friday could render these estimates a little less accurate than usual.
Reprise emo-rock standard bearers My Chemical Romance’s fourth studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, their first since 2006’s The Black Parade, is on target for between 125-150k.
Def Jam/IDJ R&B songwriter/producer Ne-Yo’s fourth album, Libra Scale, should do in the 115-140k range.
Kemosabe/RCA/RMG pop diva Ke$ha’s Cannibal EP, available separately and as part of a deluxe package with her debut Animal album, should do between 60-60k on its own.
Lloyd Banks’ H.F.M. 21 (The Hunger for More 2), his first album for G-Unit under a deal with EMI Label Services, is off to a Top 10 start at iTunes, and should do between 40-50k in sales.
RCA/RMG’s Burlesque soundtrack to the film co-starring Cher and Christina Aguilera, could do anywhere between 25-50k, depending on how the film, which opens today, fares at the box office.
Rounding out the new releases are Jay-Z’s Hits album (25-30k), Arista Nashville’s Alan Jackson (20-25k) and Nine Inch Nails’ self-released Pretty Hate Machine reissue on their own Null label (17-20k).
The market was up 29% vs. last week, up 2% vs. same week last year and still down 13% year to date. You may now go back to picking up the pieces of sky that are falling down.

Kesha could potentially do in that range though. I think the 60K is just for the EP and not the combined version. If she does another 60K with that it would be in the 120 combined range.

I actually thought Ne-Yo would do alot worse. I mean, he might only go Gold, but still.

1. Ciara's era started great. Ride went great. Then everything got worse
2. Neyos sales do not surprise me much. Beautfiul Monster did minor damage, about a little less than NMT and CBT. xtine and miley are both artists who have had a few albums therefore established like neyo. they both opened with a little more than 100k. Neyo has holiday sales on his side.

Look. I compare MBDTF and the 2012 AOTY catagory to the MMLP in the 2001 AOTY catagory. Eminem should have won but because of the homophobia controversy they gave it to Steely Dan. I could see the same thing happening with Kanye. Should win but because of past antics wont. I have no clue why u continue to draw silly similarities between Kanye and M&M. Em doesn't, and has never had, even a fraction of the critical acclaim or artistic cred that Kanye has. Kanye is an artist, not an MC, and is easily the most acclaimed popular artist of the past decade. The heat was too much for 808s because of the timing, genre change, and the Taylor incident. Eminem hasn't been critically appreciated since 2002. For reference, that was before College Dropout came out. Kanye's "worst" rap album, Graduation, has the same metacritic score as TMMLP. That should summarize the situation for you.

EP's don't really sell well -- so not surprised by Kesha's numbers. Very, very surprised by Ne-Yo's numbers.

eps: the fame monster the time of our lives (miley) my world (justin) they can sell well Drake's debut EP also sold quite well, going Gold. Linkin Park and Jay-Z's collaboration fairly recently, "Collision Course", also not only was a strong-selling EP, but also topped the Billboard 200. Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus

Jackie Evancho just debuted at #2 with an EP.
EPs can do well if people want them.
