I don't think I totally get what you're saying, but the lowest #1 is around the 60s, Dreamgirls was the winner of that title, so far. And I'm not sure what's the lowest tally of albums sold in a week.

In the SoundScan era, the albums low stands at 4.8 million in a week. That mark was reached in September.

#1 next week is a crap shoot. Will 40K get the #1 spot. haha. It will be kind of scary, especially considering Taylor and Eminem's totals this week were probably boosted a bit by sales promotions. I hope it's not a new Soundscan #1 low Taylor had no sales promotions.

True...Magic came and went...still a favorite of mine but has a fast burn out rate. Yeah, I was shocked it wasnt bigger. I like "Magic" a whole lot better than "Airplanes Pt. 1." >>>IA I know i had a point for this rant somewhere...oh yeah...I mean by Eminem standards the SSLP didnt blow up out the gate like all his albums since. It still sold nicely and had great longevity. I tend to make short storys long. Sorry. I do as well...it's all good.

2-5 looks close. Could be in any order on SS. Well considering no competition for the next couple of months it would be great to see Taylor take it for a couple weeks in January...Riri and Nicki take it for a couple of weeks...and Eminem take it for the week of the grammy's. By march, there should be more competition.

I think those were both $7.99 at Best Buy as well.

The only "major" upcoming releases are Kidz Bop (Jan 18), David Guetta & Grammy Nominees (Jan 25), Now 37 (Feb 8), and Adele (Feb 22), I doubt those will do damage.

I hope Rihanna can finally sneak in a #1. She was almost #2 which would have given Loud a new peak.

BTW, R. Kelly has held up pretty well. He's at 280k after 3 weeks. His last album came out during the 4th quarter last year and only sold 300k total. Shows what a good album will do for an artist with a devoted fanbase.

Mumford & Sons...JESUS! Did they increase over last week? That's a mind-blowing number, regardless of a slight dip in price at BB.
Great to see Kanye have a good week.

-- 34 SELENA GOMEZ & THE SCENE HOLLYWOOD 16,841 A YEAR WITHOUT RAIN For the first week since it's release, AYWR will be selling less than the same time last year to K&T. About 5k less if HDD is correct. Difference is last year, K&T actually had a single out at the moment.

Amazing for Mumford & Sons. So glad for them. Hopefully The Cave can reach upper half of Hot 100 at some point.
