Mike, get crackin' on bolding the appropriate tracks. Ms. Perry seeing these kinds of gains for a 6th(!) single- crazy. Hopefully SLY has enough BDS juice to take No. 1 on Hot 100 Airplay.

Wouldn't it be funny if Rihanna ended up being the #1 song this week? Dont think that will happen, even if the BDS airplay is different. But if it did I seriously would... :o

Also, I know I shouldn't be but I'm surprised Rihanna is on her way to another number 1. I thought she would've slowed down by now, but she really just keeps churning them out, eh?

^Indeed she is. Her label is pushing and pushing her with recording, I'm sure.

We Found Love's predictions have been trending upwards all week. Some figures saying she could sale 250k or more. I'm thinking no more than 220k, but tomorrow will be interesting indeed.

Silly of IDJ not to send 1 of 2 of the biggest dance hits of the year (OTF & WFL) to Best Dance Recording.

If she does sell 220K, and the numbers keep trending this week they have been, then Adele would sell 143k making a 77k difference. That should be enough to cover the airplay gap. The difference in airplay is about 80k right now. Should be at worse, a 70k difference by the end of the tracking week.

If Perry manages a top 5 hit with TOTGA, will this be the first album to have 6 top 5 hits?

^Yes- that's the album to span the most top 5s on the Hot 100- it could have been eight, had the label released "State of the World" on a commercial single. That would not have been a guarantee, as the sales peak may have been lower, but an 8th top 10 would have been more than likely.

Both George Michael and Janet Jackson have had as many or more top 5s from one album.

^She already DID- seven top 5 hits is the most from any one album. Unless you mean in terms of top 10 hits (which would have been the eighth, thereby topping his seven top 10s from Thriller).

www.billboard.com/#/news/casting-crowns-scores-top-billboard-200-1005437632.storyOver on the Digital Songs chart this week, we've got a new No. 1, as Rihanna's "We Found Love," featuring Calvin Harris, jumps 3-1 with 231,000 (up 33%). It's the 11th No. 1 on the Digital Songs chart for Rihanna and bodes well for where she might land on the overall Billboard Hot 100 singles chart when it is released later today. LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" holds at No. 2 (206,000; up 1%) while Adele's "Someone Like You" falls 1-3 (173,000; down 16%). Drake's "Make Me Proud" (featuring Nicki Minaj) flies 60-4 with 166,000 sold after its first full of sales were registered (up 607%). It debuted last week with only one day's worth of sales (Oct. 16). Right below him is Justin Bieber's new holiday single, "Mistletoe," which debuts at No. 5 with 164,000. Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks" drifts 4-6 (152,000; down 13%), Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" (featuring Christina Aguilera) falls 5-7 (141,000; down 15%) and David Guetta's "Without You" (featuring Usher) is steady at No. 8 (125,000; down 3%). Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts" (featuring Adam Levine) slides 7-9 (125,000; down 8%) while Coldplay's "Paradise" zooms 18-10 with 109,000 (up 100%).

BDS' numbers are lower for Adele but it should be a lock for her again as suspected. Looking into the future, Rihanna should have the #1 secured with a full week of post-video sales.

Has any artist/band ever been #1 on the Hot100 with their second single release from an album that is also #1 on the BB200 in the same week? :o It's probably happened before but i would imagine it being a rare occurrence.

Quite a few I'd imagine...off the top of my head Prince did it with "Let's Go Crazy" and Purple Rain, MJ's third single from Thriller, "Beat It," was #1 simultaneously, Usher might have done it with Confessions and "Burn," and I think Mariah was number one with her third single "Someday" at the same time her debut was on top.

As I noted in the BB 200 thread, it happened at least a few times (second singles or beyond), with a few "divas" in the pre-1992 era- and, of course, Thriller- and with Carey a few times since 1992. Not sure if any other act since 1992 has enjoyed double duty with a second-or-beyond single in the same week.

Does Dev have a top 10 chance this week?? It would kill me if she peaked at 11.

While Adele's "Someone Like You" spends a fifth week atop the Billboard Hot 100 song chart, Rihanna makes a play for the top spot, Drake vaults into the top 10 and Justin Bieber decorates the tally with the season's first holiday hit. "Someone" commands the Hot 100 for a fifth frame. The ballad holds at No. 2 for a fifth week on Radio Songs (148 million all-format audience impressions, up 3%, according to Nielsen BDS), while slipping 1-3 after four weeks at No. 1 on Digital Songs (173,000, down 16%, according to Nielsen SoundScan). As Adele's prior single, "Rolling in the Deep," led the Hot 100 for seven weeks beginning in May, the singer/songwriter becomes just the fourth woman in the chart's history to reign for at least five weeks with multiple songs in a year. Beyonce last accomplished the feat with "Crazy in Love," featuring Jay-Z (eight weeks at No. 1), and "Baby Boy," featuring Sean Paul (nine), in 2003. Monica ruled with "The Boy Is Mine," with Brandy (13), and "The First Night" (five) in 1998, while Mariah Carey had sent "Fantasy" (eight) and "One Sweet Day," with Boyz II Men (the first five of its 16 weeks at No. 1), to the top in 1995. Rihanna's "We Found Love," featuring Calvin Harris, roars 6-2 on the Hot 100. The lead single from "Talk That Talk," due Nov. 21, and Rihanna's 20th Hot 100 top 10 lifts 3-1 on Digital Songs (231,000, up 331%) and 15-11 on Radio Songs (70 million, up 20%). "Found" marks Rihanna's record-extending 11th No. 1 on the Digital Songs chart. Eminem ranks second with seven leaders, followed by Katy Perry and Britney Spears, each with six.
Former four-week Hot 100 No. 1 "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5 featuring Christina Aguilera falls 2-3, as LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" holds at No. 4 as the chart's Airplay Gainer, rising 11-10 on Radio Songs (76 million, up 20%). Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks" slips 3-5 on the Hot 100; Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts," featuring Maroon 5's Adam Levine, descends 5-6; David Guetta's "Without You," featuring Usher, remains at No. 7; and, Cobra Starship's "You Make Me Feel...," featuring Sabi, stays at No. 8. After debuting last week at No. 97 with partial-week sales, Drake's "Make Me Proud," featuring Nicki Minaj, skyrockets to No. 9 as the Hot 100's Digital Gainer (166,000, up 607%). The vault is the biggest ever for a male, passing Akon's 88-spot blast (95-7) with "Smack That," featuring Eminem, five years ago this week. Among all artists, the leap of "Proud" is the fourth-greatest, following Kelly Clarkson's "My Life Would Suck Without You" (97-1, 2009), Spears' "Womanizer" (96-1, 2008) and Beyonce and Shakira's "Beautiful Liar" (94-3, 2007). Rounding out the Hot 100's top 10, LMFAO's former seven-week No. 1 "Party Rock Anthem," featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock, dips 9-10. Just outside the Hot 100's top tier, Justin Bieber scores the top new entry, as "Mistletoe" jingles in with 164,000 in first-week digital sales. Despite a two-month wait until Christmas, anticipation for the teen star's first holiday set, "Under the Mistletoe," due Tuesday (Nov. 1), spurs the song's lofty launch.
Upon its entrance, "Mistletoe" is the third-highest-charting holiday hit in the Hot 100's history, following the Chipmunks' "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)" (No. 1, four weeks, 1958-59) and New Kids on the Block's "This One's for the Children" (No. 7, 1989). (Variations in chart rules over the years prevented certain seasonal songs from appearing on the list). Check Billboard.com tomorrow (Oct. 27), when all rankings, including the Hot 100 in its entirety and the Digital Songs and Radio Songs charts, will be refreshed, as they are each Thursday.
