Holidayguy, do you think the drop will be as high as 12 mill tomorrow, the reason I ask, is I would have thought that the Friday had more spins do to remix shows and AT40 that plays mosty on Sat. and Sun. Hmmm, we'll see. I know I'm not holidayguy, but yes, "Give Me All Your Luvin'" had a better second day. It gained about 15.5 million AI on its second day, so it looks like it could drop even harder tomorrow. But this happens all the time. "Born This Way," "Hold It Against Me," "You Da One," and all other hyped singles released before their albums go through this. HIAM didn't go through this, since it wasn't a top of the hour radio deal. It dropped a million or so on its 8th day, but it kept rising with 2-3 millions after that.

^ Yep, it didn't even lose spins on the 8th day IIRC.

HIAM didn't have the CC deal that Madonna had.

Well, yes, but it still lost a pretty decent amount of AI after seeing six-seven days of pretty big gains.

"I WIll Always Love You" is Whitney's top recurrent, but it's going to reach heights not seen in some time. Same for some others.
GMAYL looks like it had a gain of almost 4 million compared to yesterday's airplay, based on the 7-day-rolling loss.

^No, one more loss to come (which will reflect last Sunday being taken out of the mix); however, it should be the smallest loss of the three days. I don't know if it's a given that it will turn positive with the update thereafter, but based on its daily gains from the past several ldays, it looks good. :)

I keep forgetting that when it's posted above, it's for the day before...I should know as it makes sense as today's figures are not in yet, as the day has not ended. Now it will stick and I will stop asking silly questions.

Nice to see GMAYL doing ok-ish... In the UK it's bombing horribly and it used to be one of her best markets.

Coldplay was my favorite performance of the night. I'm happy that going by iTunes I'm not the only one because feedback on the internet is less than great.

Also, it's a travesty if Willie Nelson's version outpeaks Coldplay's... and if I'm not mistaken, I think all he'd have to do would be to chart at all.

None of this will effect this weeks upcoming chart correct? Until next week? Correct. The charts posted this Wednesday/Thursday reflect the week after the Superbowl, next week will be post-Grammys.

Its interesting how I heard that Coldplay's performance wasnt all that great, but Paradise is at number 8 on itunes right now. Chris Martin is always horrible live. Nothing new here. Correct. The charts posted this Wednesday/Thursday reflect the week after the Superbowl, next week will be post-Grammys. It's not that simple. Many songs started rising Sunday, so those few hours of sales will affect this week's charts. Of course, we'll see a much bigger effect next week.

Wonder how many WH tracks will chart on Recurrent this week- there will be just a day and a half or so sales impact, but there's two more days of airplay.
I figured GMAYL would drop a bit below 20m, so the decline was softened some by play on American Top 40 and Rick Dees' show (if the latter still airs on radio). Today was the last of the 7-day-rolling period that includes comparison to any of the CC-promo days, so tomorrow should see a better update.

Whitney Houston on Mediabase Golds Charts
This is the 7-day-rolling airplay, 2/6-2/12. I would have thought "I Will Always Love You" would immediately show up on AC, but not yet.
Rank (Rank last week)- Title: Number of spins (Trend compared to a week ago)- Number of stations
Pop Golds 21 (1153)- I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me): 245 spins (+243)- 77 stations 39 (869)- I Will Always Love You: 182 (+179)- 82 stations
Rhythmic Golds 32 (461)- I Will Always Love You: 95 (+84)- 37 stations
Urban Golds 13 (1615)- I Will Always Love You: 89 (+86)- 44 stations 24 (840)- You Give Good Love: 75 (+68)- 39 stations 26- I'm Every Woman: 74 (+74)- 38 stations 33 (1502)- Heartbreak Hotel: 71 (+68)- 34 stations 37 (1754)- Exhale (Shoop Shoop): 67 (+64)- 34 stations
Urban AC Golds 1 (72)- You Give Good Love: 324 (+175)- 69 stations 3 (374)- Saving All My Love For You: 301 (+234)- 67 stations 4 (868)- I Will Always Love You: 245 (+221)- 67 stations 7 (478)- Exhale (Shoop Shoop): 233 (+177)- 67 stations 22 (820)- I'm Every Woman: 189 (+163)- 64 stations 24 (1872)- The Greatest Love Of All: 184 (+178)- 60 stations

Does RITD have a chance at returning to #1 on the Hot 100? The only song on iTunes standing in its way is Whitney (which can't re-chart on the Hot 100) and its airplay must be fairly high still
