Flop... Its the biggest selling album in the last 10yrs how do u call it a flop? but the songs mostly sound the same apart from the firstone It was a joke. Because it's selling 70-100k on a weekly basis nearly 1.5 years after its release??? I was completely kidding.

^ It seems to be a common misunderstanding with the Building Chart: the chart does not represent what the top ten is projected to look like at the end of seven days, but rather what it is based on just the first four days.

The building chart is basically just mid-weeks.

From the New Release Schedule: May 15:Adam Lambert 100k Glee Graduation 60k No Lisa Marie? If Adam's 100k is her biggest threat then she just might snatch the #1 spot! Coming for those weaves silently ;) Her first album sold 140k first week, and her second did 56k.

BKS used to post everything b4 until i think he got in trouble for doing that at work. Even "arab" from ukmix gets his numbers from an inside source. The inside source gives it to arab coz he is in poland and the inside source wont get into trouble for giving out his numbers indirectly

Those are the Wal-Mart numbers. Looks like Queen Adele was actually up over 2k units at Wally World from last week.

Wait, we know the order in which the stores are reported? Or is that just speculation?

True, BUT, Carrie's album was sold at a special price at both Best Buy and Target. So I think a huge portion of her sales will mostly come from those two retailers. They probably make up well over 50% of her sales because of the special price.

^There is nothing "special" about the price.
Most new albums are sold for $9.99 at Target and Best Buy.

^There is nothing "special" about the price. Most new albums are sold for $9.99 at Target and Best Buy. They're special compared to the 12 bucks at Walmart. Right now, "Blown Away" is being sold for $11.88 at Walmart. Best Buy and Target have it at $9.99. That might account for some variation in sales from Walmart to the other two. On Target's website, all of Carrie's albums are listed at 14 bucks with the exception of "Blown Away" which is $9.99. That's 'special' if you ask me.

Wait, we know the order in which the stores are reported? Or is that just speculation? What we know for sure is that there is no definitive order of reporting. When certain retailers have exclusive albums for multiple weeks, there has not been a consistent update in which those albums appeared in the Hits rankings, I don't believe.

Still, there is nothing special about these prices. They happen every week for new albums. I've been posting new album releases wIth prices for years here at Pulse. Now if the album was selling for $6.99, that would be special.

For all we know it is just simply software that generates reports in a random order

I'd take a wild guess and say Carrie sold more albums at Best Buy and Target because of the 3 dollar difference. If this was the Walmart report, Carrie's numbers might be lower than assumed because her album was $3.00 more expensive there as opposed to most other major retail outlets. Would this be a fair assumption?

Why does it take 2-3 days to get sales figures? It seems like Soundscan would be pretty instant.

How about weeding out anomalies? Such as 1 wacked out <insert your favorite diva> fan buys 500 copies at one location
