Wait, we know the order in which the stores are reported? Or is that just speculation? Just a guess. The numbers seem too low to be iTunes and too high to be smaller physical retailers like Target/Best Buy. (smaller compared to WalMart)

Looks like Carrie may have been a little front-loaded at the beginning of the week.

Looks like Adele's lowest sales week yet, if I'm not mistaken.

41,000 is pretty respectable for the Smash soundtrack. Esp considering that it wasn't included in any of this week's predictions.
Album sales were pretty dismal this week. Besides a few decent debuts, the rest of the chart saw declines. Some albums should see increases next week with Mother's Day & discounts.

Wow, Carrie sold less than I expected. Hopefully Mother's Day softens her 2nd week drop.

Oooh didn't notice Santigold charting well. Was hoping she'd made 30K-ish but those sales are nice for her. I hope M.I.A. at least does 50K with her next release.

Given the distance between #1 and #2 and nothing significant out this week, 2 weeks at #1 for Carrie Underwood seems like a lock

Carrie's numbers are right in line with what I predicted--really strong. Great timing, too--easy #1 this week, should see a much smaller drop next week with Mother's Day and still be #1.

Looks like Adele's lowest sales week yet, if I'm not mistaken. Not quite. Her lowest was this week where she sold 73k. It doesn't look like she'll fall below that next week thanks to mothers day, but maybe the week after.

Minaj's numbers are somewhat worrisome, given that the album has a pretty solid hit thus far (and also houses "Turn Me On").
Underwood's albums have shown decent legs, so the new one probabky will be no different.

I dont think Nicki has been promoting..but isn't she about to go on tour? The problem is not with the album but she has lost considerable street cred by going pop with this release instead of urban that has alienated her fan base considerably

Seems that the 42th edition will be the fourth #3 album for NOW series in a row. Impressive feat.

Yeah but most people that are into urban music won't buy an album with that many pop songs. I think that is just one of her problems. I love Nicki to death but she should have kept it real cute instead of coming with this more aggressive, I don't give a... attitude and then beating a dead horse with Stupid Stupid...it's like you won already. Stop it. Someone who brags when they have already won is just She was doing the most THe backlash was inevitable. That and the messy release schedule. I think this will be a huge lesson learned for her team. Next era I expect more hip pop songs and less half half because I do think she has a slew of pop smashes that will sell the album overtime. I think people were just expecting her to sell strong out the gate too. Her singles will sell more than her album like a Rihanna or Katy perry. In the end, after releasing 9 singles probably, it will sell what it needs to in order for her to stay afloat. Can't wait for I'm your leader, Champion, Fireburns, Hov lane, Pound the alarm, Whip it, MM and Va va voom to smash.

She had the urban market all to herself coz there is no other girl putting out urban music. nicki never wanted to be an urban act she always wanted to be pop but she knew that was the only way she was going to break out. Its not like u can go back to being urban again with next release. she is having the problem mc hammer once had and he went all gangsta and ppl werent buying his new act.

I wonder what would have happened if Nicki did a double-release where she put out two 10 or 11-track albums the same day. Would the rap half had sold more immediately while the pop half sold better in the long run? It would have been ambitious but I think maybe it would have been better for her. I almost feel as if promoting Roman Reloaded is in itself a challenge because there's not really any one area to promote it to. Do they promote it as a pop album or a hip-hop album?
