I've deleted "Dope" and recently got myself bopping to "MANiCURE". I'm still indecisive on "Gypsy". I do wish "Applause" wasn't the last track. It would sound so flawless sequenced after "G.U.Y."

Sexxx Dreams, G.U.Y., and ARTPOP are songs I hope become singles. Though, all that really matters to me is if Sexxx Dreams gets a video.

It's all abt "Fashion!" and all of you will DEAL Depending on the day, 'Fashion!' is my favorite track on the album, along with 'Venus', 'Sexxx Dreams', and 'G.U.Y'. My least favorite is definitely 'Dope' (I don't think I've listened to it once since the album originally leaked). I'm not crazy about 'Artpop', either.

It could be me, but I think people are seriously underestimating the power of "MANiCURE". Yup, MANiCURE would slay, like, 'Hollaback Girl' slayage. I knew it the first time I heard it at the iTunes festival. It was the one song she performed that screamed SINGLE to me. I love Gypsy, but I see it producing 'You & I' type results. And G.U.Y. is a little overrated. I really like it, but the chorus is not strong/catchy enough to be a smash. Side Note: X-tina remix on the 1st, and DJWS saying DWUW video is 'so close' has me thinking they'll do both the same day. Sales Boost + Stream Boost = Hello DWUW in the Hot 100 top 10. I just don't get the secrecy, why can't they just say 'video out on this date!'. It's really annoying. It better be her best video since Bad Romance.... or at least as good as 'Applause'. I kinda feel like Bey called her and said hey girlie, I'm bout to drop the album of the decade out of nowhere, so u better hold off on releasing anything cause it's gonna be all about me for the next couple weeks. If only she gave Justin Bieber that memo too.

Yeah, I hope video Wednesday - maybe it's with Christina.
I also hope Xtina's verse isn't the "my bones hurt" one that we got at The Voice...I find it pretty annoying and not really meshing with the message or vibe of the song.

I think they collabed on a new verse. I'm hopeful there are two versions of the video, one ft Robert Kelly, and an alternative featuring Xtina as her lesbian lover. That would be ideal, and way less busy than throwing Christina in the mix with Gaga and R Kelly in a video.
The real question is could Christina have filmed a cameo? The voice is over so her schedules gotta be open. What do you guys think the chances are that xtina appears?

They had a photo of her in the studio recording the remix, so if she did a video I think a shot of that would have appeared too. It's not out of the question, but I doubt it.

Is there some sort of distancing going on with R. Kelly? They performed the song together a few times and then they stopped. I know he has his own album to promote anyway so that's likely the reason why but this video could be telling. If it's with R., this Christina remix is just a side-thought. If it's with Christina, they're intentionally moving over and focusing on the new Christina version as the primary single.

If they are pushing the Christina remix to radio now I think it would be silly not to have her in the video and the pushback would have given them time to do so. We were supposed to get the video weeks ago. But, who knows-very little has made sense this era ha ha.

There was some talk about there being some backlash involving R.Kelly, and it could have been hurting the song. This was posted on GagaDaily by someone who supposedly has connections with Gaga's teamβ¦.take it with a grain of salt but it makes complete sense.

As far as the next single goes, I think there are a good few options they have. I think MANiCURE would be awesome, its fun, carefree, and different from any other single she's released.
I've also been thinking, and Venus could actually be a really cool choice. When I first heard it I thought it was super weird and would be a terrible single choice, but its SUCH a grower and the chorus is fantastic. It's so hooky and catchy. The weirdness of it could actually help itβ¦.it makes the song stand out, kinda like how Bad Romance stood out (I remember when it was first released, a lot of people thought it wouldn't do well because of how weird it was).
I love Gypsy, and it could definitely be a good choice, but it seems pretty safe and I can't really see it being huge.

Grant it can easily be added to digital albums, right?

Okay! Better late than never, haha. I've been super busy and haven't had time to fully digest the album. It's thankfully grown on me more than I thought it would based on the first skim I gave it.
There's a solid foundation for a good album here... but once again, she proves to be her on worst enemy. If there was ever an artist that needed strong collaborators, it's her. She doesn't know how to edit and she needs to stop surrounding herself with "yes" men. Take a song like "Aura." THE CHORUS IS F**KING EPIC. Sublime even. But then she proceeds to surround that chorus with terrible verses, ridiculous lyrics, abrasive vocals, unfocused production and one of the STUPIDEST intros to any song I've ever heard. "Venus" has another amazing chorus, but then again, stupid f**king lyrics and one of the most cringe-worthy bridges I've ever heard (seriously, listing off planets? And the word "Uranus" should never be uttered in a song, it's not funny, it's not clever, it's just DUMB). "Applause" is exactly the same, amazing chorus, but the vocals and lyrics during the verses almost kill the song. I still believe the song would have been way bigger if they had redone the verses on that song. Notice all the commercials that used the song only played the chorus. Because it was amazing... but you had to slog through her David Bowie/Grandma vocals to get there.
When she goes relatively straight-forward with her music, she absolutely shines. I wish she'd cut the first semester art student theatrics, because she fails so miserably at it.
Love: "GUY," "Sexxx Dreams," "Do What U Want," "Artpop," "Fashion," "Gypsy" Like: "Venus," "Donatella," "Applause" GARBAGE: "Aura," (but that chorus!) "Jewels N' Drugs," "Manicure," "Swine," "Mary Jane Holland," "Dope"

"Jewels N' Drugs," "Manicure," "Swine," "Mary Jane Holland," "Dope" You're listing off your criticism as though it's fact. The verses in Aura and Applause are some of my favorites of the album. "Enigma pop star is fun, she wears Burqa for fashion" is generally regarded as one of the best lyrics on the album by fans. I also happen to think that the Venus bridge is amazing. The "unedited" ARTPOP, as it stands, is adored by hundreds of thousands of fans. The album has already sold over a million worldwide, so people are obviously still here for it. Gaga is simply lacking in the fact that she refuses to record songs appropriate for the radio. Had she budged a little and allowed the label to help her record just two single-ready songs, she'd be fine. The Fame Monster has songs like Teeth and So Happy I Could Die, but it also had Bad Romance and Telephone. The Fame has songs like Just Dance and Poker Face, but it also had Disco Heaven, Summerboy, and Brown Eyes. Gaga's appeal was never creating albums where every track was single-ready. Even during TF, sections of the album was Gaga pretending she was a modern David Bowie. However, back then she compromised and also recorded a couple of straight forward singles. All ARTPOP needed was one or two additional straight forward songs.

Smh. The original w/R. Kelly slays all the other versions. I'm kind of over this song now.
