I am actually mildly surprised her and Taylor are still together. She looks good though.

Does anyone know what her next single may be? I know many on the board doesn't think there's many singles left on this cd. However I have to completely disagree. I honestly think there's more hits left on this album then there was with Born This Way. Her company should try to stay away or edit some songs which are too quirky Gaga. I Love her new cd and have been listening to it a lot more than any of her other releases.

We don't know yet. I think Venus, GUY, and Gypsy are probably all in the discussion. I would be surprised if they chose something outside of those.

I Love Venus but if the public is starting to get over GaGa maybe it's not the best choice. Her quirky lyrics may hinder it abit.

Yeah I would do Gypsy or G.U.Y. I see arguments for both being released. I personally prefer Gypsy, but a lot of people disagree. I think G.U.Y. is well-suited for a remix of some sort actually that would increase interest and airplay if the right person is chosen (doesn't there seem like a spot on there that just naturally leads to a duet or rap feature?) but since she has already done two quickie remixes in a row that would probably seem too much like a gimmick.

I love Gypsy! And I think her piano performance (in japan I think) was superb. It'd be great to have a powerful video for the song-sort of what Glory should've been. She seems ready to restart the era so maybe now the promo would be adequate (?)

I can see why so many of you want GUY and not Manicure. I do think both should be released, but I gave GUY another listen and it's cute, not over-the-top. Both are sing-a-long and are very different from the first two singles.

I loooooooove Manicure, but it can't be a single. Some hot gay guys need to make their own video for it.

I think they would take out the spoken part for a radio edit, but they could easily drop a quick rap feature in there. I'm assuming they'll go with Gypsy though, because it feels like the "safe" choice.

"Gypsy" is the best thing she's done in quite some time. Needs to be released.

^Beautiful pics! I know she loves to look and dress "weird," and I wouldn't want her to stop completely. But it's so refreshing to see her embrace her beauty in more natural, conventional ways as well.
As far as the 3rd single, even though I'm skeptical of Gypsy's hit potential, I will say I can't help but smile when I listen it. A feel-good song could work wonders for her. Still would love to her G.U.Y. on radio though, and Venus has one of her catchiest choruses ever.

While most albums dropped this week since the iTunes sale was over, hers had the largest drop in the top 50. Definitely need that single.

I do think GUY could use a remix, not a cheap rent-a-rapper remix, but a single mix/radio mix/radio edit that changes the instrumental just a bit. The instrumental sounds dated already, especially the reductive instrumental during the verses. A single remix by Zedd to make it more current would help a ton (Stay The Night, Clarity shows he knows how to compose beats that are radio friendly and current), and cut out the intro obviously. It seems Zedd's own radio hits are more 'organic' (mellower less harsh sound, piano being used) if it makes sense.

I would be completely OK with a radio mix for G.U.Y., something that edits out the intro and makes the production during the verses a little less clunky.

Still using "reductive" when talking about anything Gaga related...?

Wowwww she looks fantastic!
I listened to the album to day for a 4th time and it's FINALLY starting to grow on me. I don't know why it has taken so long but I figured I would eventually like it anyway.

So is there ever going to be a video for "Do What U Want" or are we past that single? I think a music video would push into the top ten of the Hot 100.

There are so many conflicting reports about the video, let's just expect the worst (the video won't be released) and hope for the best (we get a video soon).

I'm thinking no. Maybe months from now as a random bonus for fans but no. Such a shame since DWUW could've smashed.
At this point, I'd rather her focus on trying to make "Gypsy" a real hit - a fresh performance, lyric video, real music video.

Probably too late for a video to make a significant effect. Really frustrating how this all played out, it would be doing SO much better if the video was released in like late November. It's doing really well on radio and pretty much everyone I ask loves the song.

It confounds me. I agree, everyone I speak to loves the song and it's one of their favorite Gaga tracks. And yet, sales and Spotify numbers are terrible (relative to being top 5 at CHR and top 10 at Rhythmic). Yes, a video may have helped but it has good airplay, performed on SNL, AMAs, Voice finale AND people seem to generally like it, more so than "Applause". And yet it's WORKING to go platinum, 3 months after its release. I don't get it. Even with a "backlash", it seems like this should have been a real hit. Unless "Gypsy' or "G.U.Y." gets a "Bad Romance"-level video or there's some incredible upcoming performance, I see nothing saving ARTPOP and will be shocked if it sells a million copies.

The no-video talk seems to be linked to every Gaga discussion since early December and while I don't personally think that the lack of the video is the sole reason why DWYW has underperformed (relative to its radio performance, which I think has been pretty decent and commendable), I think the lack of cohesive promotion and clear support for the song as a single due to whatever mess is happening behind the scenes is mostly to blame. That's not to say I'm blaming Gaga, or the record label, or the management, or any one in particularly, but I can't help but wonder how well the song would have done if everything went according to a more traditional plan. Could this have done Top 5 on the Hot 100 and #3 on CHR/Pop? Who knows? I'm just under the impression that due to the complete lack of organization that has involved this single, it has translated into a poorer than deserved performance of the song. Basically a subconscious case of "if they don't care, why should we?"

Yeah, I have to agree. I mean, the public seemed to respond well to it. Maybe people were just like "meh this is ok"?

And the problem only gets worse when she's coming off two Top 10 (maybe Top 5) singles, and has absolutely no momentum going into a third.

http://instagram.com/p/jKt9YRyQrg DJWS: Were baaaaack. Debating whether to make a new thread or not. Could be for part/re-release/EP, or it could be like with Born This Way how she started recording right after release. Idk.

Whatever the fuck that means, I just wish Gaga is back on top of the game. As LPL said, it's ridiculous that we are now asking from Gaga that she does the basic promo stuff. She was ahead in previous eras. She lost vision and DWUW was a mess in terms of promo. It had the potential of a top 3 pop hit but now it's struggling to reach top 5. Maybe some remixes or edits for this era or a part 2. Whatever, Gaga needs to be fully dedicated! And please stop the self indulgent twitter posts. Deliver first, then brag about it all--not the opposite :)
