- "Heart Attack" actually retained its peak after it was passed by MSKWYDITD last week. Still great I think. Oops! I missed this info  - Listen to them. They're both god songs. I will take on mind :) - Busy spinning "Carried Away", so that's not gonna happen now. :( (But great for "Carried Away"!) - Still obsessed with that song, I'm mad it only peaked at #9. "Clarity" is a fantastic song, but can not reach the awesomeness of "Spectrum". I disagree with you. "Clarity" > "Spectrum". However, both songs are great. |

Green = Debut Red = Oldest Song Blue = Biggest Gainer Chart Week of 2013. April 20 (week 16) Commentary"Mirrors" holds at #1 for the fourth straight week tying with JGMAR for the longest running #1 of the year and becoming the longest non-consecutive run at the top. I see it staying there for a couple more weeks, and not because it's that huge song for me, mainly I refuse to replace it with any of the bulleted songs. Last year's "Lights" spent five weeks atop my chart in late summer, but in the same situation as "Mirrors". It ended up being my #4 song of the year.
"Battle Scars" is the new runner-up as I finally decided in the question of "Heart Attack". The #2 is 11% away from the top song, so it's a close race unlike the last week when there was over 70% between them. "Battle Scars" grown by 40%, but "Heart Attack" didn't decrease that much.
Out of the blue Birdy's "People Help The People" jumped to #3 from #28 in its second week. "Can't Hold Us" dropped from #3 to #5 this week, not it's time yet.
"Just Give Me a Reason" is down two spots to #6, while Fall Out Boy's follow up to their first #1 hit, "The Phoenix" soars #12-7. "Stay" is down two spots to #8, while Ke$ha's "Thinking Of You" moves up #10 to #9. On the bottom of the top ten "I Love It" returns for a seventh week there. It had already peak at #3.
In the top twenty there are several songs rising fast. "Blurred Lines" is the might be the first top ten entry for Robin Thicke. "Love And War" is slowly moving up spot-by-spot and is at #13 this week. "I Could Be The One" is shaping up to be a hit, and "Stompa" is also there.
The week's top entry is "Here's To Never Growing Up" at #26.
The biggest gainer is "Fine China" 31 spots to #50.
For the first time this year the longest running top 100 song is not by the band Fun. After "Some Nights" fell off a few weeks ago "Carry On" held that title. "Carry On" finally gone recurrent after spending 50 weeks on the chart. The new oldest chart sitter is "Ho Hey" with 37 weeks.
"Locked Out Of Heaven" passed 4 million points this week, earning the 4X Platinum certification.
"Suit & Tie", "Stay" and "Begin Again" passed 2 million points this week earning a 2X Platinum award.
"Now" and "Pout It Up" are certified Platinum.

- Good to see "Mirrors" is still atop! :) - "The Phoenix" gets a new peak inside the Top 10 and "I Love It" rebounds! (I love it!) - "I Could Be the One (Nicktim)" and "Stompa" climb inside the Top 20. Good. - "Let Her Go" is close to enter the Top 20 :) - Your 3 Top 40 debuts are awesome, as well as "Pompeii" at #98. - "Clarity" and "I Need Your Love" get new peaks inside the Top 40. Awesome. - "Carried Away" is close to enter the Top 40 - "Up In the Air" and "22" jump as well. - I'm intrigued why "Sail" is bolded. If it increases despite falling a spot, good to see it. - Flawless flashback ever. "My Happy Ending" is one of Avril Lavigne best songs. |

Shame it didn't peak higher. "People Help The People" was coincidentally covered on The Voice Australia tonight and I downloaded Birdy's version after that. I really love it. Not as great as "Skinny Love", but still great. I'll have to consider letting it chart for me despite its age. I did not question it's right to chart. I heard it in Austria for the first time before Easter, the song peaked in December or January there. Despite it's on decrease on the charts I heard it several times on the radio, I can imagine how overplayed it was. Yep. |

Spoiler-time Four songs were fighting for the top spot while "Mirrors" experience another big slide in points. Possible new #1s: "Battle Scars", "Stompa", "The Phoenix" and "Can't Hold Us".
"Gentleman", PSY's follow up for his #3 peaking debut single marks the first top ten debut since October, 2012 when Ke$ha's "Die Young" started at #7. That's promising, because "Die Young" topped my chart for three weeks and was the biggest song of Q4.
Some songs fell several spots despite not peaking yet. That's because of there are a whole lot fast rising songs getting inside the top 50.Certifications:- "Mirrors" passes 2 million points and earns a 2X Platinum certification. It also passes his first single, "Suit & Tie" to move to #6 on the Year-to-date list. - "Gone, Gone, Gone" by Phillip Phillips is certified Platinum this week. |

"Stompa" shoot up #18-1 fuelled by its 250% points increase. Serena Ryder became the first Canadian act to top my Top 100 since last August when Carly Rae Jepsen scored her first #1 with "Curiosity".
"Can't Hold Us" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis moves #5-2 to its new peak after falling two spots last week. "Battle Scars" by Guy Sebastian & Lupe Fiasco slips #2-3 with a slight decrease. "The Phoenix" by Fall Out Boy jumps #7-4 becoming their second top five hit from 'Save Rock n Roll' era.
"People Help The People" by Birdy fell from #3 to #6, with a minimal decrease from last week. "Just Give Me a Reason" fell #4-8 in its 12th week in the top ten.
The top ten had three other new entries:
"I Could Be The One" roars #17-7 this week thanks to mainly its hilarious music video. "Love and War" by Tamar Braxton jumps #13-9 finally entering the top ten after 13 weeks. It originally debut in late 2012, but dropped off quickly to catch on this March.

- "Stompa" is atop! Wasn't expecting this. - "Can't Hold Us" is close to be #1 and "The Phoenix" reaches at #4. - "Mirrors" is no longer atop. However, 4 weeks at #1 is great. - "I Could Be the One (Nicktim)" gets a new peak at #7. - "The Way", "Here's to Never Growing Up" and "Come & Get It" climb in the Top 20. - "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks" and "Clarity" get new peaks in the Top 30. - "I Need Your Love", "Carried Away" and "People Like Us" vault in the Top 40. I don't like you change the credits in the former though. - "22" climbs, as well as "Take a Walk". Awesome for the latter :) - Hope "Pompeii" could climb more.  Alen's flashback isn't "Boom Boom Pow". It's "Gettin' Over You" by David Guetta & Chris Willis featuring Fergie & LMFAO. |

Green = Debut Red = Oldest Song Blue = Biggest Gainer Chart Week of 2013. May 4 (week 18) CommentaryDoing this in advance, the next one will be late. Macklemore x Ryan Lewis got their second straight number-one with "Can't Hold Us" moving #2-1. They are the first debut act to top my chart with the first two singles since last September when Ellie Goulding scored her second number-one with "Anything Could Happen". That was less than two months fter "Light" ruled the summer and was the longest-running number-one of 2012. The truth is that I charted several songs from her UK albums, "Starry Eyed" was a sleeper hit peaking at #13. The last debut act to "really" achieve that feat was the band fun. reaching #1 with "We Are Young" in March and "Some Nights" in June. They scored one more #1 from the album, "Carry On", will Macklemore and Ryan Lewis copy that pattern?
The jump to number-one was propelled by the release of the long-awaited music video so that's my overly positive response. It grew 30% from last week.
"Stompa" slipped #1-2 despite the gain. It can still return to the number-one position, no signs of "Slow down, nothing's gonna disappear..."  "The Phoenix" and "Battle Scars" swap positions, while "I Could Be The One" moves #7-5 becoming the first top five hit for both artist. "People Help The People" is stationary at #6, "Mirrors" fell #5-7.
The second bigger mover of the week in positions and points is "Up In The Air" jumping #58-8 and 300% in points. This is their third top ten hit after "Kings and Queens" and "From Yesterday", they had a bunch of long-lasting top twenty songs, like "Closer To The Edge" which I still regret not sending at least top three.
Ariana Grande's and Mac Miller's "The Way" jumps #14-9 giving both artist their first top ten. "Just Give Me a Reason" slips #8-10 spending its 13th - and probably last week - in the top tier.
The week's biggest jumper in all sense is "Pompeii" by Bastille moving #94-31. The highest new entry is "Treasure" by Bruno Mars at #26, while "Crazy Kids" by Ke$ha returns to the chart at #28 getting a new peak in its 16th week. The songs previous peak was at #40. "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams open at #44.
The artist with the most entry this week is Skylar Grey. Last year's #10 peaking "C'mon Let Me Ride" returned at #94, "Building A Monster" starts at #86, "Final Warning" which I'll treat as a single debuts at #67, and she also has a fourth song: a collaboration with will.i.am "Love Bullets" at #75. Will.i.am has three new songs: the collaboration with Skylar Grey, "Fall Down" with Miley Cyrus and "#thatPOWER" with Justin Bieber at #80 and #81 respectively.

It got a 2% gain in points.
"Can't Hold Us"drops #1-2 decreasing by 5%. The difference between the top 2 songs is 3%, less than the 4% of last week.
"The Phoenix" by the band Fall Out Boy spends another week at #3 with a 5% gain. It's still has almost half as many points as the top song.
"Up In The Air" by 30 Seconds To Mars vaults #8-4. "The Way" by Ariana Grande and rapper Mac Miller is up #9-5 giving both artist their first hit. The #2 peaking "Battle Scars" fell #4-6, while "Mirrors" stays at #7 gaining again. It's the song's eight week in the top ten outdoing "Suit & Tie".
"Still Into You" jumped #12-8 marking the second top 10 hit from Paramore's self-titled recent album. It's already at the same spot "Now" peaked so I expect it to be the bigger hit. "I Could Be The One" experienced a 25% decrease falling #5-9. Robin Thicke got his first top ten hit with "Blurred Lines" moving #13-10.
"People Help The People" by Birdy fell #6-11, while Pink's "Just Give Me A Reason" ended its 13-week run in the top ten falling #10-12. "Get Lucky" by the French duo Daft Punk rocketed #44-13 in its second week. Selena Gomez's "Come & Get It" moved up from #17 to #14. "Crazy Kids" is up #28-15 and vying to became her fourth top ten from 'Warrior'-era.
The week's biggest gainer and the biggest surprise was "Brave" by Sara Bareilles, jumping from #99 to #33.
The new entries were all in the 90s, the highest of the being "Work" by Iggy Azalea.
