"We Are Never Ever..." does have Dan Huff as a co-producer, to add a slight country feel to it. :) Wonder if the label release the country version to iTunes.

I tried to estimate Top5 of digital sales. I used iTunes pop bars and last week sales data. 1. Taylor Swift, "Never Ever" (650,000)2. Flo Rida, "Whistle" (210,000) 3. Fun., "Some Nights" (190,000) 4. Maroon 5, "One More Night" (170,000) 5. Phillip Phillips, "Home" (140,000) "Never Ever" 650k ??? It must be a mistake But it is Hot100 #1 for sure.

LOL, I guess I posted that country observation and didn't stick around for the responses. As far as Inside Your Heaven, it wasn't really embraced by country radio, but Billboard did have it as country single of the year or something. She hadn't established herself as a country artist quite yet (which she did with her subsequent single), which is the main reason I'm not so sure about that one. However, Taylor is very established with country and despite the pop orientation of her latest single/album, I think country is still happy to claim her as one of them. This single is being played at country stations (albeit with a special mix). I'm standing by my claim that this week coming up is a rare week at #1 for a country artist.

kingofpain, this was the time period that several rap-hit-wonders hit the top 10, and were really never heard from again. Even at the time, they felt fleeting, as if they *just* missed the rhythmic tsunami of the early 2000's. Other than Hurricane Chris, I can count Unk, Rich Boy, Huey, Jim Jones, Jibbs, and Young Dro among these number.

On the Hot 100? Nope. That would be "Medley: Intro Venus / Sugar Sugar / No Reply / I'll Be Back / Drive My Car / Do You Want To Know A Secret / We Can Work It Out / I Should Have Known Better / Nowhere Man / You're Going To Lose That Girl / Stars On 45" by Stars On 45.

Even if it was a force, there would still be others. Let me just list some long titles: Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) Something About The Way You Look Tonight We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman? Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You) What Goes Around...Comes Around Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me I Like The Way (The Kissing Game) Love Will Never Do (Without You) Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin') Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) My Life Would Suck Without You Somebody That I Used To Know Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) This Used To Be My Playground How Do You Talk to an Angel These are all post-1990.

Taylor sells 623k. Most ever for a female. 2nd overall. Flo Rida still #1. Billboard.com article: www.billboard.com/news/official-taylor-swift-s-never-song-sells-1007869952.story?utm_source=most_recent#/news/official-taylor-swift-s-never-song-sells-1007869952.story?utm_source=most_recentOfficial: Taylor Swift's 'Never' Song Sells 623,000; Sets Female Digital Record by Keith Caulfield, L.A. | August 21, 2012 It's official: Taylor Swift has set the record for the biggest digital sales week ever for a song by a woman. "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" sold 623,000 in the week ending Aug. 19 -- according to Nielsen SoundScan -- and it thus debuts at No. 1 on Billboard's Digital Songs chart. Not only is it the best week ever for a woman, but the second-largest ever overall. Only Flo Rida's "Right Round" has sold more in a week, when it debuted at No. 1 with 636,000 on the Digital Songs chart dated Feb. 28, 2009. The previous high-water mark among female acts was Ke$ha's "TiK ToK," which moved 610,000 on the chart dated Jan. 9, 2010 (reflecting the busy post-Christmas week of 2009). Swift also nets the largest debut week among women, shattering the 448,000-unit start that was logged by Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" (Feb. 26, 2011). ("Born This Way" racked up that figure after only three days on sale -- it bowed Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 and the SoundScan tracking week ends on Sunday of each week. Swift's song starts with a little over six days' worth of sales.) As for Swift herself, her best previous sales week was racked by "Love Story," which sold 360,000 over Christmas 2008 (Digital Songs chart dated Jan. 10, 2009). Her highest debut week came with "Today Was a Fairytale," which sold 325,000 on the Feb. 6, 2010 chart. Here is a look at the 10 top overall digital sales weeks, since SoundScan began tracking digital sales: Sales, Title, Artist, Billboard Chart Date 636,000, "Right Round," Flo Rida, Feb. 28, 2009 623,000, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," Taylor Swift, Sept. 1, 2012 610,000, "TiK ToK," Ke$ha, Jan. 9, 2010 559,000, "Grenade," Bruno Mars, Jan. 8, 2011 542,000, "Somebody That I Used To Know," Gotye featuring Kimbra, April 28, 2012 521,000, "Boyfriend," Justin Bieber, April 14, 2012 509,000, "Born This Way," Lady Gaga, March 5, 2011 509,000, "Firework," Katy Perry, Jan. 8, 2011 493,000, "Payphone," Maroon 5 featuring Wiz Khalifa, May 5, 2012 467,000, "Low," Flo Rida, Jan. 12, 2008 As noted above, four of the top 10 largest weeks have been registered in 2012: Swift, Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know," and the debuts of Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend" and Maroon 5's "Payphone." Swift's new single is the lead track from her upcoming fourth studio album, "Red," due out Oct. 22 on Big Machine Records. The song already crashed onto a number of Billboard's airplay charts this past Monday, debuting within the top 20 on the Pop Songs, Adult Pop Songs, Country Songs and Adult Contemporary charts. It's expected that tomorrow, on the all-format Billboard Hot 100 chart, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" will make a huge jump up the tally. It debuted last week at No. 72 owed to airplay only.

And that's 4 of the T6 non-Xmas sales weeks. How huge will this year's Xmas sales be?
At the time of their releases, Mine had the #8 digital debut ever, and Today was a Fairytale had the #5 biggest.
