Rihanna will start moving in on Mariah's #1 record with the next album. The girl just shows no signs of slowing down whatsoever and has one of the best work ethics in modern music history. You never know...not saying she won't, but who would've predicted Whitney Houston would only have one more number one hit after "I Will Always Love You"? Or that Janet Jackson would never see the top ten again after "Someone To Call My Lover"? "Talk That Talk," Where Have You Been," and even "Diamonds" haven't set iTunes on fire, and WHYB mostly had its top 5 chart run thanks to radio play. Fatigue may be starting to set in for the public...

I like to focus on solo songs, though now I am curious about length of careers. But at face value, from first T10, Rihanna and Madonna both took about 7 years. And Rihanna's are about half solo, while Madonna's are almost all solo, so I'm more impressed by Madonna. 15 of Rihanna's are solo, that is more than half and she is lead artist on 19 of them.

Wait I'll try it without Google. So: Pon De Replay, SOS, Unfaithful, Take A Bow, Don't Stop The Music, Disturbia, Russia Roulette, Hard, Rude Boy, Only Girl, S&M, Cheers, We Found Love (that's solo grrr...), Where Have You Been, Diamonds Oh, look I can name all those 15 songs! And I'm not even - that big - Rihanna stan.

Based on Wiki she has 13 solo: 1. Pon De Replay 2. SOS 3. Unfaithful 4. Don't Stop The Music 5. Take A Bow 6. Distrubia 7. Russian Roulette 8. Rude Boy 9. Only Girl (In The World) 10. S&M* 11. Cheers (Drink To That) 12. Where Have You Been 13. Diamonds * It went to #1 with a remix, but was top 10 without it. Edit: Josh, I mean achoo (no I didn't sneeze), beat me to it.

I don't count S&M to be honest, and I forgot Calvin Harris was featured on WFL.
Forgot about Jeezy on Hard, but 19 top tens in still impressive, I don't see what having a featured artist on it has to do with whether or not you're impressed. She made the songs what they were.

"Run This Town" is actually counted as a lead track of hers, not a feature.

"S&M"'s" No. 1 peak counts as a lead w/feature, but not as a top 10/top 5, etc.
All of the features, whether lead or featured act, means she doesn't get all of the accumulated points for those tracks on Billboard's all-time Hot 100-acts list. So, for the week "S&M" was No. 1, RiRi gets 70% of the allocated points value for that week- and Britney Spears only gets 30% of the points for that week and that week only.
Nonetheless, she will make a nice showing when BB publishes an updated list.
