#7: The Night the Sun Came Up
Dev Listen to the full album here. (It's the UK original version, so not quite like the US one, but "Naked" is tacked on at the end, so all that's missing is "Don't Hurt It", and then take away "Take Her from You" and "Bass Down Low" and you have all the US version songs.  ) General thoughts: Ugh. Such a great album. I liked "Bass Down Low," which was my first time hearing anything by Dev. Then randomly later, I found on YouTube "In the Dark," and fell in love with it. I found out it was the same singer as "Bass Down Low," and I then went looking for more stuff of hers. The album came out in the UK in fall 2011, and I downloaded it right away. So amazing. But the US version kept getting pushed back over and over, it was annoying. I guess it makes sense because of her baby, but still. They were adding more songs, so that would make it worth it. Turns out, they only added two new songs, while at the same time removing two other songs.  And then add the terrible remix of "Kiss My Lips" instead of the original.  The two new songs are good, but I wish they didn't have to remove the other two.  I still have them on my iPod but still. And then the label fucked up by fucking up "Naked" on the charts. They waited way too long to send it to iTunes, and then they waited another month or two before pushing it to the radio. A shame, because the album had some smashes on it still. And then they didn't even give the album a physical release, either. Dumb label. Regardless, I love the album. "Getaway" is amazing, but too short. "Lightspeed" could have smashed, and "Kiss My Lips" and "In My Trunk" are amazing as well. "In the Dark" was a great single choice, and should have done better. :'( I'm so excited for album #2, though.  Great album gets a great score: A. :) Best Song(s) (imo): Getaway

Carly Rae Jepsen Listen to the full album here. (Missing "Call Me Maybe" and the songs are a little out of order, but I'm sure everyone knows CMM by now. ) General thoughts: Like, literally a flawless EP. Every song is just fan-fucking-tastic. Amazing. Beautiful. Flawless. etc. So, just like everyone else in the world, after like 1 listen to "Call Me Maybe," I was hooked. So perfectly perfect. Immediate buy on iTunes, and got me itching for more. I saw this EP and needed it ASAP. Not available in the US so I had to obtain it in other ways. I just love it so much, though. Not as good as Kiss, but still pretty damn amazing. Kiss's position might surprise a lot of you, fyi. Such an easy A+. Best Song(s) (imo): Call Me Maybe

Both Sides NowSongs that I charted: Call Me Maybe (peak: #1 (2 weeks), charted 31 weeks (every week my chart has existed), still charting) *This came out before my chart existed, otherwise probably a song or two would have charted. Also CMM would most likely have had more weeks at #1 and be my highest certified song. Nick is still only 1 for 4 for his top 9 prediction. Slizzard is still 1 for 3 for his new top 8 prediction. The last of the "foreign" albums, so again no votes. It was originally going to be top 5 but one of the top 5 now has been making huge moves up since I started lol. Kinda sad, because I was expecting only 3 artists to compose the top 5, but now it's 4. </3 Oh and tomorrow (hopefully) starts the top 5. |

Added to the list False. It took me like 30-40 listens  I at least have the albums of the Top 5 correct, so I expect much more success. The Top 5 is where I was flawless in your song chart, so you can expect history to repeat itself  Oh, and Dev's album is pretty good too. |

The same thing happened to me on my year-end album chart, though more extreme. I originally had Imagine Dragons's album at #44, but it kept moving up and ended at #7!

This year's year-end chart should be more fun. I can rank stuff personally, plus using points for every song on the album that charted, same with artists. Like you did. That's what I wanted to do (same wavelength?) but was too much work without a chart for half the year haha

Clarity is what I was speaking of, the one keeping climbing. I keep falling more and more in love with it. I think originally it wasn't even top 10! :O (Although it was very close) The album is so good! And I keep falling in love every time I listen to it. Will it climb atop? I really don't think so. However, it will have a good position, so far, for a EDM album :) |

Still wondering how I should do albums this year... Might just stay the same. He gave me the idea for triangular points. His formula is more than just the "basic" triangular we use. But then he helped me (somewhat) with the Excel formula putting it all in. Although I basically knew everything already, just thought there would be more shortcuts that there weren't lol. :'(

#5: Up All Night
One Direction Listen to the full album here.General thoughts: So fun story. I hated when Pulse first started going crazy for 1D. I was so annoyed by all the gifs and such. Then I listened to "What Makes You Beautiful" and thought it was decent, and then after a few listens I was hooked. I checked out the album and fell in love, and the rest is history. Niall is my favorite.  Then Zayn. The others can suck it. This is an amazing album, very worth of the first British debut album to debut at #1 or whatever odd record it is lmao. The best song, by far, is "More Than This." So amazing. Niall's part >>>>> ry4n's existence, lbr. "What Makes You Beautiful" and "One Thing" are amazing as well, and great single choices. They just suck at sending the most similar songs possible as singles. I'm annoyed they waited for the US release, since we only got 2 singles. :'( I just recently got the 3 international bonus tracks, but they're great. :) I originally thought this was the better of the two albums, but now I like the 2nd one better.
