Isn't both Bruno & Ke$ha ahead of Rihanna on iTunes? Both of them gaining up on her in airplay & Bruno's about to leap frog over K$ & will do the same to Rih pretty soon. I highly doubt 'Diamonds' will pull an 'OMN'. Nope, Diamonds is still ahead with all versions combined. It's going to be #1 for a while. :)

I hope so. I don't mind Bruno but Ke$ha should not get #1. It's a good song but not a great song.

Does anybody know why "all I want floor Christmas" is already losing airplay or is this an anomaly?

AIWFCIY right now is at a little less than half of its eventual Mediabase peak.
Note: For this past chart week, its Mediabase total was 33m+; the BDS total was 20m.

So Rihanna should be number 1 on Radio Songs, yes? When last weeks numbers were announced she was 6 mil away from OMN, since then: Day one: 1. MAROON 5 – One More Night: 178.967 (- 1.817) 2. RIHANNA – Diamonds: 167.957 (+ 2.376) 4.193 gain.
Day two: 1. MAROON 5 – One More Night: 177.073 (- 1.894) 2. RIHANNA – Diamonds: 170.221 (+ 2.264) 4.158 gain
Day three: 1. MAROON 5 – One More Night: 175.897 (- 1.176) 2. RIHANNA – Diamonds: 171.912 (+ 1.691) 2.867 gain
even with the adjustments, I don't see how Diamonds isn't #1 on BDS right now

First lets see if any classics chart on the current Hot 100. Second, I dont see the need for this. The whole Whitney thing...I get it...the poor woman wont die every year...but these classic xmas songs get played every year. It's not about giving Whitney a hit because she died or giving people hits because of other tragic circumstances. It's about the Hot 100 reflecting the biggest songs of the moment whether or not they are current. I wasn't initially a fan of letting old songs re-chart, but it really is a more accurate way of measuring the most popular songs in the country. What does it matter if a song is 20 years old? If it becomes very popular for a week or so because it's played during the credits of some series finale, an artist passes away, or a Christmas classic is getting played as much as a current hit, that should be reflected on the charts. Either way, all of these circumstances should at least be treated equally. Agreed, though I still don't get why they haven't created separate 'current' and 'comprehensive' Hot 100 charts like they have for the BB 200. Both would be useful.

AIWFCIY is eligible to chart on the hot 100 this year: Mariah Carey's 1994 classic "All I Want for Christmas Is You" tops the inaugural chart this season. (The carol led the list for four of the five weeks in which the tally was tabulated a year ago.) "Christmas" logged 20 million in radio audience in the current chart's tracking week, ranking at No. 6 on the Holiday Airplay ranking. It rules the Holiday Digital Songs chart with 27,000 downloads sold (up 112%). While the overall chart points for "Christmas" leave it shy of the Hot 100's top 50 this week, should the song accrue enough points in upcoming weeks to rank in the Hot 100's upper half, it, or any holiday title regardless of age that reaches such a points level, would be eligible to rank on the Hot 100. Hot 100 rules were adjusted at the beginning of the 2012 chart year to include all titles regardless of age should they rank in the top 50; tracks by Whitney Houston benefitted from the adjustment following her February passing, with, most noticeably, her 1992-93 Hot 100 No. 1 "I Will Always Love You" returning and soaring to No. 3 in March. See...the reason this doesn't really bother me is because such songs have to be strong enough to re-chart. With regards to Christmas songs, how many such songs would honestly have ever accumulated enough points to rank in the Top 50, outside of their year of release, in subsequent years prior to this one? I have to think the list, if there even is one, isn't long.

And we all see how much that affected Rihanna: Last week's No. 1, Rihanna's "Diamonds," slips to No. 2 with 176,000 (up 3%)
ETA: Although was that the first week with the remix? Idek anymore.
And did Rihanna even do any promo? I know Ke$ha is doing at least X Factor, albeit "C'Mon" not "Die Young."

I know Ke$ha is doing at least X Factor, albeit "C'Mon" not "Die Young." I wish she did "Die Young" instead, it needs one final push to boost the digital sales and get that Hot 100 #1. I will be bummed if it fails to go #1. (it probably would if it weren't for the new rules. although I have no numbers to back this up)

The 777 tour with over a hundred media members on board doesn't count as promo? Probably cost more to execute than anyone else's promotion recently.
