2012 was a pretty unpredictable year. Care to take a stab at what will happen for 2013?

Brits will continue their success of the recent couple of years. Ed Sheeran will start the year with "The A Team" being huge and Emeli SandΓ© will also have a decent amount of success. Leona could potentially make a come back of sorts if all goes well with her release and 1D will churn out another hit or two. Ellie Goulding looks like she could go either way with "Anything Could Happen" at the moment, but hopefully it'll pick back up soon. I can also see Paloma Faith having a HAC hit or two, with her album doing ok. I can't forget M&S either, as they will more than likely continue their recent success in the first half of next year. In addition to this, Calvin Harris "Sweet Nothing (feat. Florence Welch)" looks to become a big hit at the start of 2013. I also cannot forget Ben Howard. He current has a top 10 Triple A hit (still climbing) and he could go on to cross over to Alt/HAC in 2013.
I'm really excited for 2013 from a British perspective. I most probably missed out a few people as well!
Edit: Forgot about Jessie Ware. She could have a small impact. Although I would love her to explode!
Also, I don't know if Katy B has any plans, but I think she should definitely think about releasing/touring in the US because there is a market for her. I think some of her material has the potential to cross over to pop as well.

Hopefully at least a few of these will be correct. - Justin Timberlake will release his long-awaited third solo album at some point during the year.
- American Idol will get decent ratings at least initially, but will be a total trainwreck all season long.
- Beyonce and Katy Perry will both have respectable eras with big hits.
- Lady Gaga will have a mixed era. People will begin to complain that her shtick is getting old.
- There will be many electro-dance flops on CHR.
- Tegan & Sara will reach a new level of popular acclaim (rising to the level of Ellie Goulding, Florence & the Machine, etc.)
- A respectful number of alternative-AC songs will find mainstream success.
- Ed Sheeran will continue his current trajectory and have several more mainstream hits, becoming one of the breakout artists of the year.
- Carly Rae's "Tonight I'm Getting Over You" and P!nk's "Walk of Shame" will be respectable hits in the spring/summer.

1. Rihanna will have 2 more big hits off this album, a couple flops, 1 Urban smash hit, and then album #8 will be ready in November. The lead single will go #1, be a big radio hit, wash rinse repeat. 2. Katy Perry is the hardest to predict. She might end up going the My December / Rated R route, or she'll have big successful era. It all depends on how radio friendly the material is, really. Either way, everyone will point how it wasn't as big as the Teenage Dream era, even though that's near impossible to match. 3. Adele won't release anything, but will be nominated for the Grammys 2014 for something completely random. 4. Beyonce's lead single will be big after the superbowl, but she will struggle after that. Her album will sell decently though. 5. Nicki Minaj will re-release her re-released Pink Friday Roman Reloaded Re-Release and call it "Pink Friday Part V: Roman Re-Re-Reloaded: The Re-Re-Release to the Re-Release: Super Deluxe Re-Released Edition." The singles will be either Urban or all sound like Starships. 6. Lady Gaga is another tricky one. It all depends on the material. But I hope she can have another huge successful era 7. More alternative songs will be big on pop. 8. Little Mix will have a crossover hit in the US (maybe that's more wishful thinking) 9. Thrift Shop will be big 10. Union J will be the most successful act off of this season of UK X-factor and James Arthur will go down the Matt Cardle / Joe McElderry route. Gary Barlow, and hopefully Tulisa, will be let go as judges. 11. Another WGWG will win the next season of American Idol. 12. Maroon 5, Ke$ha, Bruno Mars, Rihanna and Flo Rida will continue to have many pop radio hits. Yeah know, the usual. 13. Eminem will have another big era.

A major singer will die.
That's usually a safe bet, but my major prediction last year was completely off the mark so hopefully this one will be too.

Adele won't release anything, but will be nominated for the Grammys 2014 for something completely random. Skyfall, in the Best Song Written For Visual Media category. I agree that Rihanna will have a new album out by November 2014 (edit: I meant 2013, but 2014 is also probably not wrong so I'll leave it). I also boldly predict that there will not be any other Hot 100 #1s from this era, though there will be at least one other hit. Carly Rae will manage to secure at least one more decently-sized hit from Kiss, though I suspect it will be because she managed to squeeze it into a 'lull' period where most established artists don't have new singles out. Kelly Clarkson will do at least one duet with another well-known/currently popular pop singer, as she's been talking about it so much lately that I really think she and her management are pushing for it to happen. She will initially announce plans to release her sixth album in Q4, but it will end up getting pushed back to Q1 2014. JoJo will miraculously find a way out of her Blackground contract. She'll probably have released at least two mixtapes before that happens, though. Kendrick Lamar will receive a Best New Artist nomination for the 2014 Grammys, but will sadly be forgotten in AOTY because he released his album so early in the eligibility period. He will lose the Best Rap album and Best Rap Performance/Song categories to Eminem. Beyonce's next era will "only" produce top ten singles on the Hot 100 and CHR, and all the pop-only fans will insist that she is underperforming/that her time is over because she did not get to #1. Meanwhile, her album will be certified platinum, outsell most or all of our pop faves' most recent efforts, and slay urban and rhythmic. The lead single will be what finally dethrones "Diamonds" on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. I will suddenly find myself mysteriously and inexplicably preferring canned Pepsi over an ice-cold bottled Coke. The Beyhive will remain arrogant and unbothered and armed with 1000 new .gifs to summarily dismiss the naysayers. I will bookmark several of these and use at least one to send off a banned member at some point.

Mariah will have moderate success with her new album; more successful than MOAIA but not as successful as MC2. I also wouldn't be surprised if she was able to finally get that 19th #1 with AI promo.
Rihanna will get at least two more #1 singles from this era, bringing her total to 14, followed by a collaboration, and news on an 8th album by the beginning of 2014.
Katy Perry's lead single will be HUGE. Possibly debuting at #1. The follow-up singles will do moderately well, but the era in general will pale in comparison to TD.
Gaga will have success. She won't be as popular as she was in 09/10 but she will be seen as returning to form.
Beyonce is probably the hardest to predict. Her first single will certainly do well with with the Super Bowl, and Grammys more than likely to promote it. It really just depends on the direction she decides to go with this album to determine just how much success she will have. No doubt it will be bigger than "4" though.
Ke$ha will release C'Mon which will flop/underperform, then rush release Crazy Kids, which will become a Top 5 hit. She will begin recording, and RCA will either do a re-release or new album by the end of the year.
Eminem will be huge again.
Britney will really step up her performance skills, and the new era will rival Circus' success.
Carly Rae will fade into oblivion.
Christina will get a decent hit out of Just a Fool, then follow it up with Let There Be Love which will do much the same.
Maroon 5 will continue to dominate.
Nicki Minaj will release a new album that predominately Urban, putting Urban radio back on board, but alienating Pop radio with the exception of a few collaborations with Pop artists.
Adele may release an album by the end of the year.
Justin Timberlake will finally release an album that will be different from anything on the radio and smash worldwide.
Rita Ora will be dropped from Def Jam.
Jay-Z will release a new album debuting at #1 with a couple big hits.
Kanye will release a new album and rival the success of Graduation.
Taylor will continue to dominate with album sales, IKYWT will be a multi-week #1.
Bruno's Young Girls will be a big hit, but the singles after will only achieve moderate success.
Kelly Clarkson's People Like Us will reach Top 10, maybe higher.
P!nk will get one or two more hits from this album, go on tour, then take an extended break.
One Direction's popularity will being to wane worldwide.
Justin Beiber's song with Luda will be big.
American Idol will be huge again.
Carrie Underwood's One Way Ticket will be one of the biggest hits of the summer. She'll probably release one more single then get pregnant.
Alicia Keys will see some success on Urban, but the album will struggle to reach one million sold.
Ciara will continue to try, but stuggle indefinitely.

Let's see, what's due to happen... - After Psy opened the door this year, 2013 will see at least a couple of Asian acts attempt success in the west. "Gangnam Style" will be looked back on as the turning point at which Asian music began to become widely accepted internationally.
- There will be even more alternapop hits (think Gotye, fun., the Lumineers, Sheeran).
- As it becomes more obvious that the alternapop sound is the next big thing, dance-pop will start to be more rapidly phased out. Here again, 2012 will be seen as the turning point in hindsight. This will be hastened by backlashes against genre artists who incorporated dance elements into their music such as Taylor and Nicki. My crystal ball is telling me there might even be an almost Dixie Chicks-esque backlash against Swifty at country.
- R&B will experience a comparative resurgence.
- Other genres will see new artists mount grassroots, internet-fuelled campaigns for critically acclaimed releases that sell, in the same manner the Weeknd and Frank Ocean did in R&B. Pulse will wonder who they are, where they've come from and why they're selling more than Ke$ha.
- BeyoncΓ© will at least attempt a multiple-#1s-at-pop-style album campaign.
- Rihanna's pathological need for attention will lead to a major set piece: suicide attempt? Pregnancy? Pop radio won't notice and will continue to play exactly 50% of her singles.
- One Direction will either split up or experience some sort of huge drama.

I would like to think that the Treatment, buoyed by the exposure they obtained touring in support of Kiss and MΓΆtley CrΓΌe, could get their second album into the bottom half of the Billboard 200 and secure a hit song on rock radio, but regrettably, that's not likely to happen.
The UK version of The X Factor will probably be in dire straits next year; it'll depend on whether or not any of its contestants can achieve any measure of success on their own in the interim.

Ashlee Simpson will release her 4th album and get a top 40 pop hit with her 1st single. Her album will flop and, sadly, we'll never hear from her ever again.
Avril Lavigne will release her 5th album, get a top 10 pop hit with it and might get a gold album.
Azealia Banks will become the new Queen of hip-hop and slay lives with her debut album. Nicki Minaj will be attacking her on twitter on a daily basis and try to kill her on a Sunday morning.
Britney will slay the 4th quarter and sell 2 million copies of her 8th album before the year ends.
Christina will get slimmer but still flop with whatever she does.
Ciara will have her own reality show on E! and each viewer will be getting a free copy of her unreleased album whenever it comes out.
Dev will be the new IT girl on pop radio. Her album will peak at #11 and sell 606,606 by Xmas 2013.
Girls Aloud will tour the US and get a hit with Something New. After that song ends its course on the charts Cheryl will unleash Call My Name to US radio. It'll of course reach #1 on sales, airplay, streaming and the Hot 100 all at the same time.
Katy Perry will come back in May and won't stop re-releasing her album until she gets 7 #1s with it.
Ke$ha will continue to score hits. Her album will go gold.
GaGa will continue her downward spiral. Only her first single will go #1
Rihanna will release her Greatest Hits in November and have 2 #1 singles with it. The hairstyle she'll rock for the era will be bald.
Kreayshawn will die.

Lady Gaga will release more commercial material, the lead single and the album won't be helped by that big hype. Her lead single will go #1, she'll release max four singles all of them peaking top ten. Her album will cross 2 million in october-november, but won't debut with 1 million.
Bruno Mars will get another top 3 hit with Young Girls, and maybe another top10 (Treasure/Gorilla/Nathalie). His album will cross 1 million.
Ke$ha will do well. "C'mon" will pull a "Blah Blah Blah" and jump into top ten, then fall off quickly. She'll release two more singles, both reaching top ten, selling 2.5-3 million. If they release "Supernatural" it'll smash hard.
Taylor Swift will continue her success, "I Knew You Were Trouble" being her second Hot 100 #1.
Rihanna will get one more Hot 100 #1 and maybe one more CHR and an Urban hit. New album release date: November, 2013.
Maroon 5 will get two more big hits with "Daylight" and "Lucky Strike" and end the era.
"All Around The World" will smash and reach top 5. Justin will end up with 4 top ten singles in the Believe era.
BeyoncΓ© will slay. Eminem will slay.
The trend of Alternative crossovers will continue. Fun. may achieve another top ten hit from their album. Ed Sheeran may reach the top ten with "The A-Team" in early January and will release another single in the US.
Ellie Goulding and Carly Rae Jepsen will either flop or release another single.
Katy Perry will debut high with her lead single and it'll be eaten up by the radio. Idk about the other singles.
Britney Spears and P!nk will be successful.
Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Christina Aguilera will flop.

Let's see...
Katy Perry will forgo the almost typical darker/more personal flop album that follows a hugely successful one and come out with only slightly darker radio bait. It will have initial success but won't capture the same kind of interest in the long run.
Lady Gaga's album won't come out until Q3 or Q4 and it will be very well received critically and by fans, but will continue to move away from being really radio friendly and she'll only have mild success on pop radio. She will have a killer feature, however (either on her album or elsewhere) that will explode and keep her commercial viability alive.
Janelle Monae will have a hit that she is the lead artist on.
R&B songs will begin to see success on Pop radio.
Kelly Clarkson will perform "Catch My Breath" or "Stronger" (or a mash-up of the two...their intros and outros could actually work well together) at the Grammy's because that's about when "Catch My Breath" will be close to peaking. This will cause extreme whining from exactly half her fan base that are eager for "People Like Us" to be released, which won't happen until the Spring. "People Like Us" will do well, but will miss the top spot on just about every chart. Her next album will have whispers of coming out in Q4 but it won't come out until March 2014.
Rihanna won't get another Hot 100 #1 or any Pop #1s from this album, but her Greatest Hits lead single this fall will hit #1 on both. She and Chris Brown will elope.
Adele will release her third album the week of Black Friday and it will beat Britney's debut week record.
Florence + The Machine will get a top-ten single on Pop.
Carrie Underwood will be pregnant.
It will be the year of Beyonce, but she'll have some kind of public gaffe that will rattle the Beehive into unrelenting unity and give other fanbases cause for unprecedented mockery; but it will eventually just make her look human to the general public and it won't have any last effect.
We'll see a moderately to highly successful girl group emerge.

Ke$ha will get 4 top 10 hits off of Warrior, and end up selling 800k after Supernatural/Crazy Kids go #1.
Katy will debut #1 (or top 3 depending on competition) with her lead single, and have maybe 3 more top 10's. Her album will sell around 1.2 million in the long run.
Gaga will debut #1, etc same as Katy, but 2.5 million for the album.
Britney will debut top 5 with her lead single, and maybe enter the top 10 with her second single but flop with the rest.
Nicki Minaj will never have a top 10 hit again.
Bruno Mars will have one more hit off his album, but I think he'll slow down after.
Glassheart by Leona Lewis will go top 5/10 if they don't fuck up the release
Carly and Ellie are gone. Maybe My Blood could do a top 20.
Eminem will have a top 3 debut and have two medium sized hits, selling 2 million with his album.

Glassheart by Leona Lewis will go top 5/10 if they don't f**k up the release It doesn't seem a US release is going to happen now though... The label seem to want to cut the era short again and in a recent interview Leona herself said she's happy whatever happens now. So it's like she doesn't care anymore. It really upsets me and I'm fucking annoyed now. But whatever... Perhaps they will do a 180 and do an agressive campaign in the US and surprise us.

Carrie Underwood:
-Will Perform at the 2013 Grammys and win her 6th Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance. -Will be nominated for ACM Entertainer of the Year, and win. She will also win Female Vocalist, beating out Miranda Lambert who'll be quieting down as Carrie's "Blown Away" continues strong through 2013. -Will release "Do You Think About Me" in the Spring and it will become her 4th consecutive #1 after "Two Black Cadillacs" peaks in February/March. -Will add sporadic tour dates throughout the Summer. -Will release "One Way Ticket" in the Summer, and will become a huge crossover smash. -Will kill her "Sound of Music" gig! -Will FINALLY be nominated for CMA Entertainer of the Year (lol). -Will win CMA Female Vocalist of the Year. -Will release a Greatest Hits album, or Christmas album, or some combination.
Wishful thinking, huh?
Some general predictions...
-Miranda Lambert will become pregnant. -Taylor Swift will date at least 3 more famous guys... And will start being 'shut out' of Country music... (based on "Begin Again's" relatively slow performance as well as her recent lack of wins at the ACAs, etc... ) I just feel 2013 will be a true transition year for her, due to her nearly exclusive Pop effort, Red. -Mariah Carey will make a HUGE comeback due to American Idol and her new music which will show off her latest vocal improvements.
Idk what else, we'll see!

Putting this here before I forget it since it's in another thread: The only two things I'm ready to predict right now: - Indie-rock/pop crossovers Γ la fun. and Gotye will continue, but won't become mainstream--it'll be about the same as this year. I think R&B crossovers are going to increase as well, including a big hit in Frank Ocean's "Thinkin Bout You."
- 80s-style production is going to become more prominent--we're already seeing it with artists like Carly Rae Jepsen, Bruno Mars, and Neon Trees (along with a bunch of non-mainstream artists like Twin Shadow), and I think that's going to continue.

Bringing this over from the pop trends thread; - I think mainstream pop producers/artists will continue to incorporate dubstep elements into their songs, like we've seen this year with songs such as "As Long As You Love Me", "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "Beauty And A Beat". I expect one or two more 'authentic' dubstep style tracks (as opposed to the 'popstep' style of the aforementioned songs) to break through on CHR sometime during the year, but I don't think the genre will last long enough for more than that.
- 2012 and 2011 had more variety than the previous years, and I think 2013 will continue on this trend. I'm expecting some more alternative crossovers, and possibly a slight comeback for R&B, in the shape of songs like "Adorn". I don't really expect dance-pop to phase itself out, but I think artists/producers may abandon the generic sounds of the last three years for 'harder' sounds like dubstep or 'pure' dance/house/EDM/whatever.
- We didn't really have a huge new popstar this year, did we? 2011 had Adele, 2010 had Ke$ha, 2009 had Gaga, 2008 had Katy ... but unless I'm forgetting someone, the closest 2012 had was Carly Rae Jepsen, who isn't doing too well at the moment. I actually think this may continue next year, with many new artists coming in with one big hit but failing to leave a lasting impression as an artist, like Ellie Goulding, Cher Lloyd, Gotye and such did this year. Greater variety opens more doors for artist who have that one great song to break through with one hit and then disappear again, whereas a generic pop-driven scene makes it easier for artists to get a second hit by working with the right producers and utlizing their name recognition from that first hit - which is basically what Carly did with "Good Time".
- I think the heavy backlash Nicki received for 'going pop' will continue with any other artists doing so, and possibly even extend to Taylor Swift. As a result of this, I'm expecting less genre-based (by that I mean any genre but pop) artists to record pop music and attempt pop success, which may halt the increase of alternative crossovers I suggested earlier. In general I hope this doesn't happen though, because it'd just take us back to a few years ago when the lines between pop and other genres were heavy, whereas in my ideal music scene artists would be free to experiment with different genres without receiving backlash for it.
- And lastly, One Direction will release "Rock Me" and slay the world.
Now let's see how wrong I am.

Carly Rae Jepsen will score another hit on the pop charts in the Spring with the Max Martin single "Tonight I'm Getting Over You".
Taylor Swift will get more pop hits in 2013 as "22" will be the third pop single followed by "Red" as the fourth pop single both becoming top 10 hits on the CHR/Pop charts.
Taylor Swift's current pop single "I Knew You Were Trouble" will go top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Cher Lloyd will become a bigger star in the USA as she will score a major CHR/Pop hit in the Spring.
I think this will be Taylor Swift's first album era without a #1 song on the Country Airplay charts.

Beyonce will rule, she'll make a big comeback, even bigger than IASF era, she'll score some #1s/top 10s
Mariah may surprise us, especially with Idol buzz, a bigger era than E=MC2 i guess, plus she may get her long waited 19th #1 hit
Katy Perry's new lead single will debut so high, massive airplay, but the album and the following singles won't be as huge as Teenage Dream because it's said to be darker, maybe something like Gaga's Born This Way era
Gaga will continue to have decent album sales, but with not so commercial pop hit singles, maybe a couple of top 10s/20s, the lead single may hit #1 though
Taylor will score more and more pop hits especially outside North America, Red will be a great seller, bigger than Speak Now
Kesha will do just fine with the singles, more top10s, but the album will juts hit platinum and still underperform worldwide.
Rihanna will continue to have hits of Unapologetic but no more #1, however she'll release a greatest hits at the end of the year, scoring a #1 lead single, before announcing a short hiatus
Britney will have a bigger era than FF, another #1 lead single, plus a couple more top 10s, the promo will be better, her performances will be better
Bruno will show how it's done, he's the top of pop male artists, the album will even score more hits and sales
Adele, if she releases a new album, her album will beat Britney's record of biggest first week female album sales in US (1,3 million), the lead single will also break the record for the biggest digital first week sales ever in US
Eminem won't have another massive Recovery era, but he'll be back as the front rapper after Nicki Minaj domination.
Maroon 5 will re-release Overexposed, scoring more pop hits, and they'll become more mainstream and mainstream than ever
Xtina will have a surprise hit with Just A Fool, followed with more top 20s/top 40s, and the album will slowly sell better than Bionic.

Mkay... LADY GAGA- She'll release new material that reverts back to her stylistics from The Fame/Monster eras and put her back on the map in Pop radio. She'll add more legs to the Born This Way Tour and they'll all sell out -- quickly, at that. She'll ultimately redeem herself from the slump era that was Born This Way, but she'll still take herself too seriously.
- She'll get engaged. Not sure to what, but she'll get engaged.
- She'll receive another Album of the Year nomination for the next effort she puts out. ARTPOP, I believe it is?
CARRIE UNDERWOOD- She'll win her sixth Grammy, and "Blown Away" will win Country Song of the Year (not awarded to her, though -- will be awarded to Josh Kear & Chris Tompkins). She'll also perform.
- "Two Black Cadillacs", "Do You Think About Me", and one more single from BA will all individually hit #1 on Country Airplay.
- She'll win the ACM and CMA for Female Vocalist of the Year, will win the ACM for Entertainer of the Year, and will undoubtedly get shut out for the CMA for Entertainer of the Year. She'll also sweep the CMT Music Awards and the (joke that is the ) American Country Awards.
- She'll receive critical praise for her portrayal as Maria Von Trapp in The Sound of Music.
KELLY CLARKSON- "People Like Us" will reach #1 on the Hot 100 and Top 5 on CHR/Pop. It'll come just short of selling as much as "Stronger", probably putting it neck and neck with "Before He Cheats" as one of the biggest-selling Idol alum songs ever (which Phillip Phillips will probably surpass next year with "Home", anyways).
- She'll win at least one of her Grammy nominations and perform "Catch My Breath" at the ceremony.
- She'll get engaged to her boyfriend but will hold off on the marriage until 2014.
- She'll release a new record in the winter that correlates to the quality of Stronger, but sells much better due to her resurgence in the Pop world again.
- "Don't Rush" will do adequately well, but won't be enough to firmly secure her place in Country music.
BEYONCE & MARIAH CAREY- Both will achieve massive comebacks. Mariah will do very well on Idol and Beyonce will do very well on the Superbowl halftime show.
TAYLOR SWIFT- Country music will virtually drop her when it comes to accolades due to her incredibly dominant transition to the Pop world.
- "I Knew You Were Trouble" will go #1 on both the Hot 100 and CHR/Pop. It'll go on to become the best-selling single of her career.
- She'll release "All Too Well" to Country radio. It'll go Top 5 (I want it to go #1, personally, but seeing as "Begin Again", an incredibly Country-friendly tune is faltering, it makes me nervous of anything else following it) but will fail to crossover. She'll double-release with ATW to Pop with "Everything Has Changed" (feat. Ed Sheeran) and it'll go Top 10 on the Hot 100 and #1 on CHR/Pop.
- Red will get nominated for Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys, and she'll receive nominations for Song, Record, Pop Solo Vocal, and maybe Country nominations, but will get shut out of the Album of the Year category.
- Her and Harry Styles will break up and she'll be with a new guy before or by the end of the year...and then they'll split up, too.
KATY PERRY- It'll be a really, really quiet year for Katy Perry until the fourth quarter where she will release her lead single off of her third album. The single will debut at #1 on the Hot 100 but will follow a path of edginess and artistic progression rather than bubble-gum pop candies that the Teenage Dream era flaunted with every tune released to radio. The album will be released at the very end of the year or the first quarter of 2014.
- She'll be virtually non-existent throughout the entire Spring and Summer.
EMELI SANDΓ & PHILLIP PHILLIPS- They'll both receive massive breakout Pop and AC/HAC success.
- Emeli SandΓ© will release "Next to Me" to Pop and AC radio in the beginning of the year and it will follow suit with Adele's "Rolling in the Deep," thus finally putting her on the map in America.
- Phillip Phillips will follow up the huge success of "Home" with "Gone, Gone, Gone" to reestablish credibility to the American Idol name and label. GGG will go on to become 3x Platinum and go Top 10 on the Hot 100 and CHR/POP, and #1 on AC, HAC, and AAA. He'll release "Where We Came From" in the Summer/Fall to continue his debut success.
A few other notes... - American Idol will achieve higher ratings. Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban, Mariah Carey, and Randy Jackson will all return for Season 13 of the show.
- Justin Bieber's presence on radio will slowly diminish after "Beauty and a Beat" (feat. Nicki Minaj) dies down.
- One Direction will have a massive year with "Rock Me." The song will be a radio smash and make every girl, Brian, and William squeal with excitement whenever it comes on.
- Bruno Mars' album will flop dramatically and we'll all live happily ever after the end.

I can't imagine Katy Perry not having a current single on the radio this summer. I think we'll get a lead single in late April/early May with a late summer album release.
