Ke$ha's career is over, she's like a less successful, local Flo Rida at this point.

How many weeks has Maroon 5 been in the top 10 consecutively? I'm pretty sure Payphone and OMN have kept that streak going. With Daylight debuting at #77 last week, I'm curious if they have indeed been in for half a year or more and possibly could continue that with Daylight or not...
34 consecutive weeks so far, from my counting.

"Daylight" doesn't seem to be shooting up as quickly as "Payphone" and "One More Night" did, so I would bet that "Daylight" will break the consecutive streak. I don't see any reason why "Daylight" would miss the top ten completely, though. I'm guessing in a few weeks "One More Night" will slip off the top ten with "Daylight" in the lower teens.

I've actually always found the chorus of Die Young to be a little weird in that respect. Like, it's a party song but the title sounds so morbid.

Die Young is an anthem because it really is about living each moment like you're gonna die young as in not having enough experiences in life, not like being young in age.

Die Young is an anthem because it really is about living each moment like you're gonna die young as in not having enough experiences in life, not like being young in age. It is totally a reference to age, as in live this moment because tomorrow isn't promised.

^Radio is dropping it due to the Kindergarden shooting. :( They should replace it with this! This song was HUUUUUUGE in Norway earlier this year due to its use in many montages of the Utoya shootings on July 2011.

The song is not offensive in itself but I don't blame any radio PD for not wanting to spin that repeatedly right now. Never thought I'd say this but it kind of makes me glad now that "Crazy Kids" isn't the second single, Ke$ha whispering 'we are the crazy people' might not go over well either...again, obviously nothing harmful meant by the song but it's a sensitive moment right now. fridayteenage, I feel the same way about "Out Alive" (album track). The song is obviously saying enjoy life while you've got the chance, but phrasing it as 'no one's getting out alive' is a kind of odd, morbid way to put it. There is only one female each on Mediabase's year end urban and country charts.

There is only one female each on Mediabase's year end urban and country charts. If it makes you feel better, BB's equivalent lists (which also have just one T10 female) have females represent 4/25 top artists - that's 16% rather than 10%. And it's better than rock radio stations - 0/T25 artists are primarily female. So of the main genres, I guess it's mostly guys guys guys, except for pop.
