Great song. Oh, and "All By Myself" is awesome too! I missed that one since you forgot to change the title.

#12I Drove All Nightfrom the album One Heart (2003) Celine wanted pop radio and she wanted it bad! Or at least it might have seemed that way. A New Day Has Come produced only one Top 40 hit and Celine was more soccer-mom-focused then ever. A quick image change and an update in sound resulted in this dance cover of a song originally written for Roy Orbison although it first became a hit for Queen Cyndi. Celine's version was the focus of some heavy ad campaigns including a Chrysler commercial where Celine signed a $14 million contract to endorse their cars and appear in their commercials. Though the contract was cut off due to lack of car sales, it helped get Celine her last Top 40 pop hit where it hit #27. It also peaked at #45 on the Hot 100, #2 on Dance Club, #7 AC, and #1 in singles sales in Canada. Needless to say, this song was exciting upon release for a Celine fan and I had high hopes for it, but it didn't perform as well as I expected. It was the original Run The World/Big Hoops. It sounded fresh at the time though it definitely has the dance sound of an early 2000s single so it might not sound fresh today but it's a fun addition to Celine's catalogue.

I prefer Cyndi's version by far, but I do like this. A bit too high for my liking though.

"I Drove All Night" is my favorite Celine song and I'm not even kidding. It's so much fun to sing along to.
"Misled" and "Think Twice" are good but again, I still prefer the first single from The Colour of My Love.
"If You Asked Me To" is the only song I like from her self-titled album. I do hope to see a lot more entries from Falling into You though.

#11I Surrenderfrom the album A New Day Has Come (2002) An album track from A New Day Has Come but it's easily the best song Celine has recorded post-Let's Talk About Love. It has a solid build-up beginning with a haunting piano hook until there's a choir chorus at the end that consists of singers like Shania Twain and Chantal Kreviazuk. I know johnm2011 has a complete list of who's featured on here but it's easily one of the most powerful moments of Celine's musical output and was evidence that despite recording hundreds of songs up until now, her voice was still fully capable of controlling this song completely. This could have been a huge hit in the late 90s, one where its performance on the Grammys could have featured a whole slew of big names in the choir to serve as the finale for the show, dubbed "the greatest moment in Grammy history!" I can see it now...

I'm forever behind on this because I fail at life, so I'm sorry, but looking at the past few songs I can tell you've been doing an amazing job! "That's The Way It Is" would be much much higher on my list, but I'm obsessed with it! Great to see "Love Can Move Mountains", "Misled", "Think Twice" in the latter part of the top 20! "All By Myself" and "If You Asked Me To" are just absolutely incredible songs. Seriously can never get enough of them!!! <3 "I Drove All Night" is one of CΓ©line's best songs and would probably be in my top 5, I love it so much! Last but not least, "I Surrender" is without a doubt one of my favorite song from A New Day Has Come! Such an incredible song and I'm so happy to see it this high! <3

#12I Drove All Nightfrom the album One Heart (2003) This was easily the best new song from "One Heart." Shame, it deserved so much better.

#11I Surrenderfrom the album Taking Chances (2002) Simply incredible piece from Celine. If I were to do a list like this, this would easily be in the top 5 or better. And of course it comes from the power writing duo of Sam Watters & Louis Biancianello. Wrong album on top btw

Oops! That one is my template. I changed the year but forgot everything else.
So the Top 10 reveal is next! Before I begin, anyone like to venture a guess as to what songs are in there? I was thinking about turning this into some sort of a contest but I don't really have a suitable prize or anything other than the glory of knowing my love of Celine songs. I could award the winner like 100 posts increased or something but the other mods/admins might not like that. :/ So instead, let's talk about what songs have yet to be put in this list that should be! I'll post #10 tonight!

I Surrender is, to me, her best unreleased song ever. Perhaps even top 3 of her best overall.
It's so epic. "Epic" might not even be good enough of a word.
I have always imagined writing a screenplay for a movie based on that song. I don't know why, I just feel like the song deserves to be heard/felt in visual format as well.

I think "Did You Give Enough Love" will make it as I remember you really loving that one.
I'm guessing a few of the classics like BYLM, IACBTMN, etc...

No. Now it's time for the Top 10! #10Beauty & The Beast with Peobo Brysonfrom the album Celine Dion (1991) Celine's first big soundtrack performance and first duet was for the Disney classic Beauty & The Beast, back when Disney owned the cartoon film world with their one big hit movie every year. When people ask what your favourite Disney movie is, it's always one of these films and the answer is always Beauty & The Beast or the Lion King. Maybe Aladdin. That's just how it is. This song is perhaps the most known, recognizable and beloved of all of the Disney classic songs. Helped by Celine and Peobo and probably Angela Lansbury, I forget. The song both the Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Song, hit #9 on the Hot 100 and most importantly, is credited by many for establishing the English career of Celine Dion, proving she wasn't going to be a one-hit-wonder.

#9Did You Give Enough Lovefrom the album Celine Dion (1991) johnm2011 was right. This is one of the songs in the Top 10. It was the final single from this album in Canada. This is one of the other songs included on my very first cassette tape from back when I was 10 that I mentioned back on Love Can Move Mountains. This song is uber catchy but also sensual without being hokey sounding. The song wasn't released anywhere other than Canada where it performed mildly, hitting #19 on Canadian radio, #17 on the singles chart at #23 on AC radio.

I seem to end up loving every rendition of "I Drove All Night" and Celine's is no exception. And "Beauty And The Beast" is absolutely wonderful.

No. Now it's time for the Top 10! #10Beauty & The Beast with Peobo Brysonfrom the album Celine Dion (1991) Angela joined Celine & Peabo to perform the song at the Oscars that year. As mentioned in another thread, Celine was offered this song in "consolation" because another animated film song she had recorded ended up going to another artist. But yeah, most definitely her breakthrough hit.

#8Usfrom the album Let's Talk About Love (1997) I do believe this is the highest full-on album track on this list. Everything from here on out was released as a single somewhere. This song also appeared on Celine's Collector's Edition Vol. 1. I don't normally listen to Celine Dion for masterful lyrics or thought-provoking phrases but this song might be one of the ones that has the strongest couplet of any of her songs. In the chorus for Us, Celine sings "you say it doesn't matter/than say what does?" and in addition to the line itself, how she sings it is just so strong and yearning that in itself it's a reason why this song makes the list. But as one of the strongest tracks from one of her strongest albums, she delivers in a way she hadn't done before up to this point. Despite having been married for several years, it seems Celine has captured the essence of a relationship being difficult, as the second couplet "you say it wasn't easy/then tell me what was?" Probably not a suitable choice for a single but easily one of Celine's best anyway. She delivers!

#7To Love You Morefrom the album Live Γ Paris (1996) This song was a hit on American radio in 1998 following My Heart Will Go On but its origin goes back beyond that to a few albums before. Frankly, it's album placement is f'ing confusing, even more than I realized. - It was included on the 1995 re-release of the Japanese version of The Colour Of My Love and it spent 5 weeks at #1 on the Japanese singles charts, the first Western artist to hit #1 on that chart since Irene Cara (Flashdance...Oh What A Feeling).
- It was included as a bonus track on the Japanese version of Falling Into You as well and Celine began to perform it on the tour for that album as well.
- I knew it as the only studio recording (and only English track) on her French-language live album Live Γ Paris in late 1996. It was a radio single in Canada as well following All By Myself.
- It was included on the American and Latin American version of Let's Talk About Love as the album's second last track, where it served as the second Pop single from the record, peaking at #21 on Pop radio and 8 weeks at #1 on AC.
Of all of Celine's charting singles, this is the one that I think deserved to do better than it did. It's a beautiful song with a violin inclusion that serves as a hook of its own, adding so much life to the track. It came out when Celine was probably at her most popular. By today's standards of pop star popularity, Celine would have had back to back #1s and this would have been one of them. It's disappointing to look back and see this song seems to have underperformed and is lost in the shadow that is My Heart Will Go On but hopefully its #7 placement on this chart helps to make up for it.

#7 To Love You More from the album Live Γ Paris (1996)
I was reading an old Billboard article on this song. Sony did not know what to do with this because they felt the song sounded too much like a leftover from TCOML, so it was left off FIY, however several top 40 stations including Y100 and KIIS began playing it on their own, and it was one of the highest callouts for their stations, however they were still pushing FIY and All By Myself. It was finally included on LTAL due to the demand, but it was held off until the 3rd single which was ridiculous. TLYM should have been the first single from LTAL, not Tell Him *snores*. Agreed, this was a wasted opportunity. It did reach #11 on the Hot 100 Airplay though.
