I'm still hopeful that this is going top 10. It just needs to build on the momentum that the video caused. She should also get some exposure from the ACM's, but that's still a little while away.

It looks like this song's pattern of wild up and down swings in the bullet is repeating itself. A week ago today the bullet was +200. Now it's +8. Reba's fans must have chewed their fingernails off by now.

She's up to +77 now, and will make the top 20 this week on R&R. (Sara's going recurrent for sure, and I'm pretty sure that Dierks is as well). In other Reba news, she's doing a live concert on the Today Show on Friday, June 4th (3 days after I see her in concert ).

"Somebody" is finally in Billboard's top 40, as she jumps from #24 tp #20. Hopefully top 10 won't take as long as top 20.

She's up two more, from #20 to #18 on Billboard, and she jumps from #22 to #19 on R&R.

It also moves to #9 on Ratethemusic.com's callout research. It's the only song not currently in the Top 10 that's Top 10 in callout. So, in theory this should be headed top 10. We'll see what happens.

Up three spots to #16 on R&R this week with a big bullet of +239. Hopefully it can pass the #14 peak of "I'm Gonna Take That Mountain" next week.

She's up 1 to #17 on this week's Billboard chart. I don't want to get my hopes up too much, but this looks like it's going at least top 10.

Something interesting: countrystars.com is reporting that Reba will sing "Moving Oleta" on the ACMs. I'm hoping that she'll be performing two songs, like LeAnn Rimes did when she hosted, so she'll perform "Somebody" as well. I hope this isn't a sign that she's giving up on "Somebody", since the show is just a couple weeks away.

I am upset that she is singing Moving Oleta. I think that by the time the awards show comes, Somebody will need that final boost. I really wish she'd sing Somebody. Why would she even sing Oleta--she said herself that it will never be a single. Maybe she figures thats a way to get the at least heard. ???

I could see the song going over well in a live performance though. I'd still rather her do "Somebody".

I think we're safe for it not being a single. She said in an interview that it's too "jumbly" for radio...which I agree. So I really don't think it will be a single.

Up to #14 on R&R, tying IGTTM. Bullet is +165.

If this song makes top 10, I'll be very happy. If it makes top 5, I'll be ecstatic. :) Hopefully it'll continue on up!

I have to say I'm suprised it's still plugging along. I didn't think it would do as well as IGTTM simply because IGTTM is the more radio friendly song and I think it's better by far.
Whatever, I don't even attempt to understand country radio anymore, but if Reba returns to the Top 10 I'll surely take it.

I think radio top 10 is probable. I am glad, too. This is my favorite Reba song in a long time.

She's up to #15 this week on the Billboard chart. :)
With no one going recurrent on Billboard for the next week or two (probably), Reba won't pass anyone that way. But, she's catching up to Clay Walker & SHeDAISY. If she hangs on for 3-4 more weeks (which I think she will), she should easily make the top 10. I'd love for her to hit the top 5 again.

Shedaisy's doing pretty well the last few days with some big spin pickups at larger stations, like in Houston where it went from 96th place last week to 2nd at one station. Consequently, they have the 2nd strongest bullet today on the 1-25 chart. Reba's song has been closing the gap in spins, yes, but Passenger Seat's audience numbers are about 2 million ahead of Somebody's. That big audience surge is also what allowed Shedaisy to pass by Clay Walker today to get to #12, even though he has more spins. That could change day-by-day, of course. Shedaisy briefly had #12 on Mediabase last Friday, but lost it the next day when Clay picked up more spins. I updated my chart graphs today if anyone is interested: home.earthlink.net/~oceanblue831/images/25_for_7.gifhome.earthlink.net/~oceanblue831/images/25_for_25.gifhome.earthlink.net/~oceanblue831/images/all_spins.gifhome.earthlink.net/~oceanblue831/shedaisy/graphs.htmlBy the looks of things, Paisley's Whiskey Lullaby could very well pass both Shedaisy and Reba in about 2 weeks, assuming current trends continue. And then after that there are Chesney and Jimmy Buffet to contend with in the not-that-distant future. Both their songs are screaming upwards. I wonder by looking at the graphs today if 'Redneck Woman' will be yet another One Week Wonder at Number One. 'Letters from Home' looks awfully close, and Redneck Woman didn't have a bullet today. RW lost about 90 spins between Sunday evening and Tuesday afternoon.

Up to #12 this week. Assuming George Strait and Rascal Flatts go recurrent next week, she'll be back in the Top 10!

Sha-weet! I'm hoping that when this goes top 10, it will secure her at least a nom for CMA awards in Oct. And hopefully the next single performs just as well or better!!

I'm thrilled to see this song do as well as it's been doing. She holds at #15 on Billboard, but should move up next week, passing Tracy Lawrence, Keith Urban and maybe WTSGD.
The video for "Somebody" hit #1 this week on CMT Canada, and moved up to #5 on the American CMT.

There has been some talk on the Reba boards that she's changed her song selection to "Somebody" for tonight's ACM performance.
The webmasters of ExtremeReba.com (a site that has been officially recognized by Reba herself) have reported this, and are generally correct.
If it's true, it's a good move, and probably to help propel the song into the top 10. While "Moving Oleta" is a great song, "Somebody" is the obvious choice.
Not sure if this is totally correct, but I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Well, she missed the Top 10 last week because of Kenny Chesney, moving up to #11 instead. Next week she'll have another shot. She'll get passed by Tim McGraw, but she can still squeak in at #10.

She moves up to #14 on Billboard this week, tying IGTTM. She also hit #3 on CMT.
I got to see her in concert last night at Casino Rama, and she was amazing. After all these years, she still sounds fantastic, she's looking better than ever and is an incredible entertainer. I highly recommend seeing her live if you ever get the chance.

I'm going to Rockefeller Center Friday morning to see her on the Today show. Should be fun.
