Can you post some tepid reviews for me please? Dude, don't feed the troll. He's not interested in debate. The only reason he's here is to spew more anti-Shania garbage, as his posts here and at CMT prove beyond a shadow of a doubt. He's a one-trick pony. It's all anti-Shania, all the time.

Now... I don't think this will do any better, unless there is a push from Performances at the CMT/ACM's.... which might? happen? Hasn't been anounced yet.. Unless this songs drops quickly, so that Mercury can release I Ain't No Quitter, and let shania perform it at the CMT/ACM's... I don't know. "Don't" is a great song, but as far as I know she hasn't performed it live anywhere. I'm surprised she didn't do Leno or Letterman or some other show to promote her GH singles with a live performance. People who hear it love it, it just doesn't seem like alot of people are hearing it.

I'm surprised she didn't do Leno or Letterman or some other show to promote her GH singles with a live performance. . Well, in November she did both Good morning America and the CMA Telecast and she sang Party For Two. But I am not disagreeing with you, she did perform but she didn't give a live performance in either show...they were both lipsyncs to prerecorded music... In spite of giood ratings for both shows, Party For two only managed a measly # 7 peak country, and it couldn't even crack the pop top 50, even though she released a POP version of the song with Sugar Ray's Mark McGrath...

Well, I know what we saw, and it was (painfully) obvious that Shania lipped in both shows. Not a big deal, she always does that on TV, and it hasn't really destroyed her career, just whatever small amount of credibility she possessed as a singer...

I see you all have met the message board-hopping troll known as "NY."
So glad to see someone else also recognized who "NY" really is.
For those that don't know, "NY" has posted on various message boards under multiple names. All of the names seem to have "NY" in them. (That is why I use the name "NY" to identify the poster.)
The posting style and content is the same on all of the posts done by "NY."
As Spidey said, during all of the board-hopping "NY" has made Shania Twain the focus of his rage. That is the only artist he/she posts about. All of the "NY" posts are negative, contain wrong information, and only serve to start fights.
"NY" posts under various names and will come back under a different name if he/she is kicked off of this board.
Just ignore "NY" and all of his aliases that are soon to follow. If you don't, posts and threads will end up being deleted due to the fights.

Right. The problem with NY is more than just not liking Shania's music. There's nothing wrong with not liking Shania's music. But NY has turned it into a sick obsession with truly vulgar personal attacks against Twain.
As mentioned, NY has wished cancer upon Shania, and has talked about oral sex involving Shania's child, a 3-year old. His latest trick on the CMT board was to post under the name of Shania's dead mother, while making negative posts about Twain.
This is the kind of creep you're dealing with here, and everybody needs to realize the type of poster he is.

it seems that all shania's singles have no problem at getting into the top 30.. but after that.. they dont seem to do well... I'm surprised country radio plays them at all, considering that they are usually warmed-over AC drivel, as opposed to true country. IGGG climbed fast, peaked early and fizzled fast, and every one of her next 5 singles except for FAFA, did the same, burn bright, peak early and fade fast. Especially UP and It Only Hurts When I Breathe, which never even hit the top ten. And now DON'T is strugglin particularly hard to make any strides on the charts...

Peak early?? 15+ weeks on the chart is not peaking early. In fact, Twain is known for having long lasting singles that can start, slow, and then take off. Don't know what your talking about...

And how many of those weeks are in the top ten? ;) Usually one or two...three tops...at least none of her last top tenhits have spent more than three weeks in the top ten... and remember...out of those fifteen weeks, the most are climbing up...

According to Mediabase, it was 5. And even if it was 4, that's still more than 3 on my fingers (It's not nice to lie)

And even if it was 4, that's still more than 3 on my fingers (It's not nice to lie) According to Billboard it was four (and don't forget that Mediabase quickly gets rid of songs -turning them into "recurrents"...thus giving other songs more breathing room) But BILLBOARD is the chart that counts, and none of the UP singles have spent more than four weeks in the top ten. Heck, some haven't even MADE the top ten (It Only Hurts When I Breathe, UP!)

The video is cliche-ridden and she is once again using too much skin to sell (heaving bosom) Worse than the song.

"Forever And For Always" spent 13 weeks in Billboard's top 10, including 4 in the top 5. I know. that's why my original post regarding this matter read: "IGGG climbed fast, peaked early and fizzled fast, and every one of her next 5 singles except for FAFA, did the same, burn bright, peak early and fade fast. Especially UP and It Only Hurts When I Breathe," Mediabase Saturday Morning Update 24 SHANIA TWAIN Don't! 1367 Spins 10.145 Audience Impressions Moves up 20 spins compared to last week, moves down 26 spins compared to yesterday's 1393 in the morning update. Moves down 214 audience impressions compared to last week, moves down 42 audience impressions compared to yesterday.

Heck, some haven't even MADE the top ten (It Only Hurts When I Breathe, UP!) And we all know why that is, because of biased country radio. ;) Put it this way, Shania outsells every other country artist in existance by MILES, the fact that all of her songs DON'T make it into the top 10 just shows how meaningless airplay has become. It is all industry politics now anyway, if Nashville like you then you will have a #1. Sales are all about the FANS, if the PEOPLE like you then you will sell millions regardless.

FrancineLangeInNY don't you have anything better to do? Why you are so interested in Shania when you don't even like her is beyond me....

Don't waste your time posting Mediabase updates either. I have every single update for the last 70 days on D! and this is one of the 'Shania burps'. It will pass, I hope...

why didn't "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing Do Good?" It's my favorite track from "UP!"

My best guesses are (a) recurrentitis from FAFA, and (b)Country radio isn't Shania's best friend anyway

why didn't "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing Do Good?" It's my favorite track from "UP!" That was UP's least successful track, all around. Even on AC, which is a famously ballad-heavy format, the song couldn't even crack the top ten, in spite of Shania's recent smash run there with Forever And For Always... And of the two UP tracks that couldn't reach top ten Country, "Breathe", was the one who peaked the lowest, at #16 or 15, I think. I think it had to do with a flimsy song that was one of UP's weakest efforts (and UP is an album full of those), and the song was clearly filler material...even more of a generic, "faceless" ballad than DON'T...

FAFA could also be a reason why PFT didn't grab on. Its #8 on AC recurrents this week. The song is just amazing! It has lived forever!

Its #8 on AC recurrents this week. The song is just amazing! It has lived forever! Heck, I said "I think", regarding my memory about the peak # of IOHWIB. (give me some credit... I doubt that FAFA had anything to do with it...even many of Shania's biggest fans have called BREATHE a very weak song, and FAFA wasn't around when the title cut was released , and that still couldn't reach the top ten. and DON't is currently struggling. is FAFA responsible too? And PF2 wasn't a huge hit, by any stretch of the imagination, so you can't say that it is causing DON'T not to be played. Nah... Other singers get big consecutive hits and the previous ones don't affect the current ones. Maybe the fact that FAFA was so embraced made many people be disappointed at Breathe's mediocrity. (IMO FAFA was not a bad effort, one of the only TWO decent songs on UP)
