Do we think Radioactive will become the longest running Hot 100 hit ever? I do. Because a) the next single hasn't done anything yet and b ) the album is still a steady seller and indicates that there are loads of people who don't know about ID yet. Actually demons has been on the chart for a while too... I think it's somewhere In the 60s

I think radio has issues with Miley more because is she country? Is she pop? Now she wants to be r&b? pick a lane

oh my..hes DEF. goin' for some record breaking action full force! lol. Between the sales increases will also come more radio requests. Timing is a little too coincidental (and a very wise man)! ;) it's not coincidental. His album is released next week. How strange. It came out July 15th in Europe (with slightly different cover art, too).

At least here anyway, there is no Hannah Montana reruns so not as hard as it appears. Hannah programming is available if you buy the DVDs or seek it out on Netflix but not if you simply turn on your TV Wow! I assumed it was still played everywhere. Well, that helps, but I still think it'll take a while, a new generation who doesn't remember Hannah Montana much. It was too big, I wouldn't be surprises if Selena/Demi drop it earlier. Are there still Sonny and Wizards reruns?

My point was it's not Top 100 on iTunes and it's not Top 50 at any radio format. Is it that high on the Hot 100 from streaming?

But will take a while before pop radio adds it (if it's going to add it in the first place) Or maybe they'll release another song as a pop single, for example 'On Top of the World'.

Eh, it not airing helps a bit, but mainly for the young kids who weren't around the see it, which wasn't that long ago. You have to look at it this way: is Hilary Duff still commonly linked to Lizzie McGuire? What about Raven-Symoné to That's So Raven? They'll both lose theirs before Miley loses her Hannah Montana link, and it hasn't happened for either of those girls yet. However, there is a Disney star from just before those two shows that has completely shed his Disney image: Shia LaBeouf from Even Stevens. The show is so old now that there is a nice generation gap and a good portion of teens today don't really know of the show too much, allowing Shia to become a very well-known international actor with Transformers, Disturbia, Indiana Jones, etc. Also, the high profile work provided as an excellent jumping off point for him to leave the Disney child actor tag behind. (Neither Hilary or Raven have had a great opportunity to do such work, though with time I sure they will.) {Plus, too, I'm sure it's much easier for the male Disney stars vs. the female ones, but let's not go there.} Miley is already on track to help her with that with these very adult-oriented songs. The only problem is that she made the transition too quickly and it was too jarring for many, which caused "Can't Be Tamed" to crash and burn and "We Can't Stop" to struggle in airplay. The good news for her, though, is that she did take a long break in between CBT and WCS, allowing for the shock of CBT to die away and grow in people's minds, so WCS doesn't come off as shocking or revealing as CBT. That time off really helped her image, so I don't think she's going to have much trouble in the future, but it will be a struggle for her to get there.
Selena & Demi's Disney characters were nowhere near as iconic as Miley's, Hilary's, or Raven's, so it's a lot easier for them to shed the Disney tag, though both girls also shared their struggles to be taken seriously as mature artists in the music industry. A big part of it probably stems from the fact that Miley's character was a role model performer to begin with.

The avid Disney viewers who still watch Disney that were huge Hannah fans are quite aware that Miley Cyrus used to be Hannah Montana. However, she is not on Disney so that age group has a hard time tying present-day Miley Cyrus to Disney. She is not identified with Disney for the simple reason that she is not on Disney.
There may indeed be some overlap between who is buying the song now and who were avid Hannah watchers but it is quite likely that she has some new fans. New image. New Genre.

I believe Paul Grein erroneously reported that Sage the Gemini debuted on the Hot 100 a few weeks back (which could have been based on a faulty early chart or something).

Red Nose reminds me a bit of Up! by LoveRance/50 Cent (that song should've charted MUCH higher than it really did imo).

There is a dance associated with Red Nose. It's ratchet as f#ck. That's where the song is getting a lot of it's streaming points from. High School kids are eating it up.

^ Thanks for finding that out. Damn, they're probably going to crank up the plays in clubs because of that dance.
Sage the Gemini might have another song (Gas Pedal) in the Hot 100 next week by the looks of things. Dem_white_boyz promoted it through Vine.
