Ugh how long would Iris have been at #1???
On a side Jesse J note, she co-wrote Party In The USA. Thought that was interesting. She was going to record it but instead gave it to Miley. She's be much bigger in the States if she did

Hot 100
#01 Roar (=) #02 Blurred Lines (=) #03 Royals (+4) #04 Holy Grail (+1) #05 Wake Me Up (+2) #06 Summertime Sadness (+4) #07 Applause (-1) #08 Hold On, We're Going Home (+4) #09 Safe & Sound (+2) #10 Berzerk (-7)
#11 We Can't Stop (-7) #12 Radioactive (-3)
Compared to my prediction
#01 - "Roar" (=) #02 - "Blurred Lines" (=) #03 - "Holy Grail" (+1) #04 - "Royals" (-1) #05 - "Wake Me Up" (=) #06 - "We Can't Stop" (+5) #07 - "Applause" (=) #08 - "Summertime Sadness" (-2) #09 - "Hold On, We're Going Home" (-1) #10 - "Berzerk" (=)
Didn't expect such a steep fall for "We Can't Stop". "Summertime Sadness" was also a surprise, because it didn't gain too much in the last week.

The 4-11 dip for 'We Can't Stop" is surprising, but note that it did drop from the sop spot in streaming.
"Roar's" streaming count at 12 million- impressive. It may drop a tad next week, though.
"Applause" dropped pretty sizably in streaming.

I think "Roar" is guaranteed a 3th week at #1. The 4-11 dip for 'We Can't Stop" is surprising, but note that it did drop from the sop spot in streaming. "Roar's" streaming count at 12 million- impressive. It may drop a tad next week, though. "Applause" dropped pretty sizably in streaming. "Applause" has 50 million views on Youtube but I suppose most of its views come from outside the USA, a lot of comments in spanish, portuguese and other languages, wonder how is it doing on Spotify.

Based on this week's results, "Blurred Lines" could drop to #4 next week with "Royals" and "Wrecking Ball" passing. "Blurred Lines" is dropping faster in sales and streaming then I expected.

I predicted WB to have a 50-14-30 (est. this week)- 2/3 (next week) chart run yesterday. Figuring that sales would drop significantly for this past week. I'm guessing it's even lower than 30, but next week based on the video reception and huge surge in sales - it's either going to be 1 or 2. That will be one of the weirdest chart runs that I can recall.

"Blurred Lines" sales dropped by 31%, streaming by 26% and airplay by 5%, but its' total points decreased by 2%? Huh?

"Blurred Lines" sales dropped by 31%, streaming by 26% and airplay by 5%, but its' total points decreased by 2%? Huh? I'm thinking they either missed a 1 (12%) or some other number (2x %). I had the same reaction, haha

"Blurred Lines" sales dropped by 31%, streaming by 26% and airplay by 5%, but its' total points decreased by 2%? Huh? There must've been a typo in the original article. If "Roar" gained 18% and "Blurred Lines" dropped by 2% the former's lead is 20%. If the difference 42% for real, "Blurred Lines" had to decrease by 17%, and that's more realistic.

Thank god WCS is out of the top 10. I don't think it's a guarantee that WB will hit #1 either because of its current lackluster airplay.
Based on this weeks radio updates, Roar could potentially get between 180 and 190 million AI, while WB may barely scrape 15.
Also think it's pretty funny that although WB has so many views (many because she's naked), there are 450k likes and 250k dislikes. So 35% of people that watched it don't like it.

^That's irrelevant because more importantly there are a lot of people who are buying the single.

Harlem Shake had 0 airplay and hit #1. Miley will too. Harlem Shake was competing against a song that was beginning to peak in airplay and sales and streaming were dropping.

Bear in mind that Katy's sales from the Pepsi deal won't be counted , so her iTunes percentages are slightly inflated.

It should all be very exciting next week. Hope Billboard does a building chart to give us an idea.

So billboard should give a pretty good idea tomorrow I'm guessing

Harlem Shake had 0 airplay and hit #1. Miley will too. Harlem Shake was competing against a song that was beginning to peak in airplay and sales and streaming were dropping. Totally inaccurate. "Thrift Shop" peaked in sales THE week "Harlem Shake" bowed at #1 with 412,000 downloads (up 6%), reached #1 on Hot 100 Airplay 3 WEEKS after, reached it's peak on the on-demand chart that week and the week after March 2, and posted high streaming numbers for a longer period (reached #1 in May there). So "Harlem Shake" won over the massive hit "Thrift Shop"s biggest week. And it wasn't peaking already, and didn't start to fall hard on neither component.

The 4-11 dip for 'We Can't Stop" is surprising, but note that it did drop from the sop spot in streaming. There's several new songs out there right now with lots of momentum going for them. In addition to "Roar", there's "Royals", "Wake Me Up", "Holy Grail" which is faring quite well, and so too is Drake. Then there's "Wrecking Ball" coming through next week...when's the last time the Top 10's seemed this strong?

Lady Gaga’s "Applause" dips from #6 to #7 in its fourth week. Here's some better news for Gaga fans: Gaga’s 2009 smash "Poker Face" becomes the seventh song to reach the 7 million mark in digital sales. It’s just the third song by a female solo artist to achieve this feat, following Adele’s "Rolling In The Deep" (7,984,000) and Carly Rae Jepsen’s "Call Me Maybe" (7,223,000). "Poker Face" hit #1 in the spring of 2009. It received Grammy nominations for Record and Song of the Year.
So proud. :'( A wonderful company.
