Is this the first time when both Norway and Sweden have an artist in top ten?

Poor Rebecca Black... If only the streaming points had been adjusted when her piece of crap was released... Look at the wonders it's done for Psy (Gentleman), Baauer and Ylvis.

So Royals will be my birthday #1 this year. I like Roar and Wrecking Ball, too, but I was wishing Lorde was #1.

True, Friday was selling around as well as The Fox is right now (ok, maybe like 5-10 positions lower), but it so much more views compared to everything else that it could have been top 5 at the time. The smash that never was. :'(

And "The Fox" has yet to enter the Top 10 on iTunes.

The race for #1 must have been very close this week with "Royals" superior on-demand #s being the deciding factor.

What would you rather see at No. 1, redseagulls? This track has performed very well in all respects, so its No. 1 ranking is deserved, aside from it having the most overall chart points, of course. :)

Please tell me she'll have only one week at #1. If she does , she'll join 'When I Was Your Man' as 1-week topper since streaming is added. And I don't think it would happen

Please tell me she'll have only one week at #1. Unlikely. In fact, I think this will spend a while at #1. There's nothing really out there to challenge it. I don't think anything in the current top 10 will, at least. (the Fox is not selling as much as it needs to). So the only chance for dethroning Royals soon would be something unexpected on streaming (like the Wrecking Ball music video).

"The Fox" is holding on in the top 20, while Rebecca Black's poc barely climbed on iTunes as far I can remember, top 50 at best and for a brief time.. Congrats to Lorde, "Royals" is amazing and three consecutive females topping the Hot 100, I wonder how long will the streak last. :o a nice break after BL's 12 week reign.

I have this printscreen on my computer dated March 18th, 2011. I think it was its peak. It always climbed from #30-35 to the high 20's on Fridays.

I am so glad for Lorde -- always thrills me to see someone sneak out of nowhere to outperform the "establishment" acts who have had well-oiled corporate machinery behind them for years.
(Which is not to say Lorde doesn't have a label working her, it's just that she doesn't have the advantage of name recognition and history.)

What I wonder if pop radio will touch it, they barely did it with "Harlem Shake".

What does The Fox say? Just for fun, the lyrics:
Dog goes woof Cat goes meow Bird goes tweet and mouse goes squeek
Cow goes moo Frog goes croak and the elephant goes toot
Ducks say quack and fish go blub and the seal goes ow ow ow ow ow
But theres one sound That no one knows What does the fox say?
Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding! Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding! Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding! What the fox say?
Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow! Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow! Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow! What the fox say?
Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho! Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho! Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho! What the fox say?
Joff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff! Tchoff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff! Joff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff! What the fox say?
Big blue eyes Pointy nose Chasing mice and digging holes
Tiny paws Up the hill Suddenly youre standing still
Your fur is red So beautiful Like an angel in disguise
But if you meet a friendly horse Will you communicate by mo-o-o-o-orse? mo-o-o-o-orse? mo-o-o-o-orse?
How will you speak to that ho-o-o-o-orse? ho-o-o-o-orse? ho-o-o-o-orse? What does the fox say?
Jacha-chacha-chacha-chow! Chacha-chacha-chacha-chow! Chacha-chacha-chacha-chow! What the fox say?
Fraka-kaka-kaka-kaka-kow! Fraka-kaka-kaka-kaka-kow! Fraka-kaka-kaka-kaka-kow! What the fox say?
A-hee-ahee ha-hee! A-hee-ahee ha-hee! A-hee-ahee ha-hee! What the fox say?
A-oo-oo-oo-ooo! Woo-oo-oo-ooo! What does the fox say?
The secret of the fox Ancient mystery Somewhere deep in the woods I know youre hiding What is your sound? Will we ever know? Will always be a mystery What do you say?
Youre my guardian angel Hiding in the woods What is your sound?
(Fox Sings) Wa-wa-way-do Wub-wid-bid-dum-way-do Wa-wa-way-do
Will we ever know?
(Fox Sings) Bay-budabud-dum-bam
I want to
(Fox sings) Mama-dum-day-do
I want to I want to know!
(Fox sings) Abay-ba-da bum-bum bay-do

What I wonder if pop radio will touch it, they barely did it with "Harlem Shake". The Fox is closer to a real song though, yet its barely selling more. Friday had much more views, I think 4-5 million/day which today would be a lot more, considering it had a Wrecking Ball sized lead on the others.

I told you guys Lorde would hit #1. No one believed me when I first said it. Its pretty clear this is going to hit #1 on the HOT 100 at some point.
