They love their puns, like "Katy Perry's Prism Shines At #1", "Rihanna's Diamonds Shine Atop Hot 100" or "Wrecking Ball Swings Atop Hot 100." And, yes, these are actual article titles.

And now it's time once again to take a look back at the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10's for exactly 55, 50, 45, and 40 years ago this week.
November 10, 1958 (for week ending November 16)
TW LW WK 01 02 09 It's Only Make Believe - Conway Twitty (1 week at #1) 5th song to hit #1 on the Hot 100 02 04 07 Tom Dooley - The Kingston Trio 03 01 13 It's All In The Game - Tommy Edwards 04 03 12 Topsy II - Cozy Cole 05 11 08 To Know Him, Is To Love Him - The Teddy Bears 06 06 15 Chantilly Lace - Big Bopper 07 07 11 Tea For Two Cha Cha - The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra 08 08 09 The End - Earl Grant 09 05 15 Rock-in Robin - Bobby Day 10 13 05 I Got A Feeling - Ricky Nelson
How many brothers and sisters sing duets together? Not too many that I can think of. Now how many brother/sister duos manage to send a song they sing together to #1 on the Hot 100? Only one as far as I know. Nino Tempo and April Stevens, who despite their different last names, are indeed brother and sister, did just that when their sped up and jazzed up version of the old standard, "Deep Purple," topped the Hot 100 the week of November 16, 1963.
November 16, 1963

Smith 08 21 04 Who's Making Love - Johnnie Taylor 09 18 04 Abraham, Martin And John - Dion 10 08 09 Elenore - The Turtles

That's interesting! I can also see that 10 years later, Top of the World was on it's way to... the top. Not sure that's a true duet since Richard is just harmonizing on it. Can't think of another brother-sister team. Michael and Janet missed their chance with Scream.

Blurred lines, safe and sound, and mirrors all need to die from the top 20. Been in there way too long.
On a side note "Still into you" airplay is very confusing

1988 was the BEST year in MUsic . Every artist on there could sing LIVE and had a on going career forever...a couple are still around today. I can't say the same for most artists out today.

1988 was the BEST year in MUsic . Every artist on there could sing LIVE and had a on going career forever Right? Most artists would kill for a career like that experienced by The Escape Club, Will to Power, and Breathe. I mean, I'd be hard pressed to name many other artists who had hits spanning four entire years.

I wasn't alive in 1988. I guess my opinion is invalid when I say I can't stand any song prior to the year 1990 apart from maybe Don't Stop Believin. Everything just sounds so.....dull.

1988 had some great hair metal and old school rap songs. Other than that, it seems like an extremely forgettable year.

Half of the artists in the last 10 years are no longer having hits so 4 yrs actually is the norm for most pop careers. Lead singer of Breathe continued releasing solo material. Also what I meant to say is they all could sing LIVE and alot had ongoing success for years.
