Harlem Shake shouldnt even be in the top 50 LOL! Silly, silly shady Billboard! Gangham Style is like a Beatles song (even if it was for just 8 minutes) compared to the overall atrocity/fluke/scam that was Harlem Shuffle. * At least Thrift Shop made up for those MANY well earned weeks it shoulda had at #1 w/ ending the year end chart at #1 (perhaps BB guilty consceince)? lol Even though I feel in my gut BL shoulda been #1 and TS #2, BL was a worldwide massive record breaker in endless ways for several months!! Song is tired as hell now and needs to go away for at least 3 years but is def. an already an early 2010s classic and imo 'the' top song when I think of 2013 followed by Thrift Shop and Get Lucky. Yeah, if Billboard released a chart called biggest hits of 2013 (after Blurred Lines and other 2013 hits ended their chart run), I'm sure it'd be a very different chart with BL at #1. It sucks when a song's chart points is split between two years, I can't really gauge how big the song actually was in comparison to other hits (like Roar, would it have ranked #5 if it had a full chart run vs. #10 in 2013 and #40 in 2014).

Now that I think about it Wasting All These Tears has been consistently updating since its release, Love Story crossover anyone Hope so. Great song, great singer. She should be the first Voice winner that makes it big.

Timber has a shot to be #1 on Thursday on the billboard. #1 on Spotify #2/150 on ITunes US #Gaining on Youtube and the radio over 103 millions AI
The monster #4 on Spotify #4, and the popularity bar with Timber is not close anymore. #it has more radio airplay, but it's peaking.
If Harlem Shake could be #1 with zero airplay, why Timber can't be #1 if it's beating the monster on Spotify/Youtube/ITunes?
Clearly, right now people's #1 song is Timber.

Last week The Monster had more streaming than Timber (even though the latter has a music video). Timber was higher on sales, but it was a small difference between then, and The Monster is way ahead on airplay, so I think Eminem will be #1 again, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had a couple of months at the top.

1. A video preview isn't going to help sales. 2. There's more to streaming than Spotify and Youtube. 3. The AUDIO for TM has more views on YT than Timber's video AND audio combined.

But the difference is not that huge. Timber views combined: 45 millions TM audio: 65 millions Next week digital chart and Spotify need to make a bigger difference for Timber, because keep in mind that the monster views also come from countries of Europe/Australia. And although Timber is also a worldwide hit, currently it's having more local popularity than The monster in the US according to Spotify/Itunes So, maybe it's getting more US views than TM too. You never know, but it's possible! ;) P.S: I'm not saying that Billboard is robbing Timber, but they need to see that the public currently prefers Timber now.

Are these airplay updates artificially low because it is so close to Christmas?

Are these airplay updates artificially low because it is so close to Christmas? No, it has nothing to do with Christmas. Actually, the Illuminati, the Vatican and the Russian mafia corrupted all these updates by paying the radio in order not to play all these songs. {Spoiler}reverse P - A - Y - O - L - A

Will Bruno's "Young Girls" become a hit????? I love that song.... hope it does (it's Bruno's 5th single)
Another thing, I think Katy should forget about unconditionally and move on with "Dark Horse", it is slaying harder than Unconditionally though...

'Drunk in Love': It's happening  Considering the mammoth numbers that other new acts (Katy, GaGa, etc.) on the first days, I wonder why radio is slow to respond to the phenom that is Beyonce. I mean this album/release has been huge news. I guess that's one of the problems with radio - they really don't get what people want.

This album debuted on Friday, and the single wasn't announced until the weekend. Give it until this week when the official push to radio starts.

Yeah because it's not like radio can't just drop their original playlists for something like this.
/sarcasm
Radio has playlists set up long in advance. It'll take some time to fit Beyoncé in in a big way - if they choose to.

Also the norm lately is for big artists to have some level of clear channel deal, which clearly had not been set up for Bey.

11. KATY PERRY – Roar: 80.246 (- 1.097) 12. KATY PERRY – Unconditionally: 80.184 (- 1.279) ▼ Called it. Also re: Beyonce - First the single was supposedly XO. Then Blow/Drunk In Love dual release. Have they even been made official yet? I imagine we'll see lots of Beyonce adds come Monday/Tuesday.

I freaking love that song too. I was hoping it'd be the second single. I hope it'll catch on! But after gorilla, which didn't perform all too amazingly, I don't know how Young Girls will do :/

1. Dark horse is doing really well for not Being an official single 2. Other Katy perry songs are falling 3. Let her go and stay the night welcome to the top 10 4. I never thought demons would be #2 great song but it doesn't sound like a radio hit in my opinion 5. I would think that young girls would be Bruno's next single I think it was his 2nd preview song off the album It sounds kinda like some songs from his first album in my opinion and could become a hit (top 40 Mabey?) unless Bruno wants to put another album up soon and after 5 singles a lot of people tend to buy the full album therefore lowering the last singles sales
