That's just one video. Her entire era is being built on her antics. If what you're saying was the case for Miley, I think her antics would have extended past just the music. Plus, in several interviews both before and after "Wrecking Ball," you can tell, with absolute certainty, she has a very good head on her shoulders. I don't doubt her sensibility but she's in the music business with lots of music execs who'll push you to do anything to sell your music. Sinead O'Connor was pushy with her letter but she wasn't wrong. And when you're a former Disney star who's sick of your good girl image, you can be manipulated. Slate just wrote an article about working with creeps like Richardson who've been widely accused of sexually harassing his models (especially the ones w/o power & very young) and how the stars can't say no. www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor/2013/12/18/beyonc_and_lady_gaga_face_questions_over_collaborations_with_r_kelly_and.htmlPeople can say anyone is a creep. This stuff needs to be proven in court otherwise it just looks like haters piling on.

This stuff needs to be proven in court otherwise it just looks like haters piling on. If you're referring to Terry Richardson I can only go by the word of the women who've accused him of sexual harassment. Here's one account: "wrote of an experience she had on a shoot with Richardson six years ago. When she said she wanted to keep her underwear on because she was menstruating, Peck says Richardson asked her to take out her tampon so he could play with it, and make "tampon tea." He insisted on being called "Uncle Terry," and during their shoot, Richardson unexpectedly stripped naked. "Before I could say 'whoa, whoa, whoa!' dude was wearing only his tattoos and waggling the biggest dick I'd ever seen dangerously close to my unclothed person (granted, I hadn't seen very many yet)." In Peck's words, Richardson eventually "maneuvered" her over to a couch in his studio, where he "strongly suggested I touch his terrifying penis." When he ejaculated, one of his assistants gave Peck a towel." "Following the publication of Peck's allegations, other stories of Richardson's questionable behavior at work poured forth. I heard from modeling agency bookers and former bookers, photographers (many of whom told me that they are disgusted by Richardson in part because by propagating the idea of the fashion photographer/predator, he makes their jobs harder), fashion writers, magazine editors, models of all descriptions, stylists, and others in the industry. Because of Terry Richardson's extraordinary position of power, all of these people spoke to me anonymously, for fear of losing their own jobs or being blacklisted in an industry that hates to endure any overt challenge to its power structure. One fashion insider says agencies "know full well Richardson's predatory behavior," but that he "is tolerated because the industry folk are just sheep. There are only a handful of photographers who have the power, a handful of editors who have the power, and a handful of clients who have the power. Everyone else just follows this small group of people." jezebel.com/5495699/exclusive-more-models-come-forward-with-allegations-against-fashion-photographerIf you're talking about R Kelly The Village Voice just came out with a well detailed story about the victims in that situation.

Wow at Say Something! Still at #1 on Itunes by a nice margin in combined sales and starting to expand in major markets! The big hot 100 #1 of the new year is coming hard!

Timber at 1.0000 (plus other versions at #176 and #685, so a little extra but not much) Say Something at 0.8795 and 0.1146 = 0.9941. Unless you mistakenly added in the X Factor cover that's #47?

Top ten prediction 1/4/14 1.The Monster 2.Timber 3.Counting Stars 4.Say Something 5.Demons 6.Let Her Go 7.Royals 8.Wrecking Ball 9.Royals 10.Burn/Story Of My Life Royals is on twice at 7 and 9

Great updates for Timber! The lead on iTunes is getting bigger too! :) I hope spotify solves the glitch soon though. Timber is running for #1 and it needs a strong streaming too. Merry Christmas! Enjoy this wonderful time! :)

"Dark Horse", "Timber" and "Say Something", I want them to hit #1 in early 2014. At least one of them has to go #1 lol I'll be shocked if "The Monster" holds on until February.

I will be surprised if say something reaches #1. I think it's boring and won't last long....in fact it's sales are going down. The next number 1 will be timber and then dark horse

don't count out Miley Cyrus '' Adore You '' Rebecca Black debuted at # 55 on hot 100 after just 7 million or so in its first week thanks to streams on youtube...so I expect miley's streaming numbers to be way bigger ..a top 10 next week on the hot 100 is possible for her.

To be perfectly honest I'm rather sick of Miley after all the publicity she sought after this year.

DIL is a far and away better song than both of those songs. I doubt HG and HOWGH wouldve went to #1 in 2004 let alone 2013.

Yah, it's older holiday music that gets the lion's share of airplay, so the showing for "Underneath the Tree" is decent.

That image probably won't work for several album eras, for the next she has to move on.
To me, it seems like Christina's Stripped era brought to 2010s

I think Miley doesn't get enough credit for her talents, though it's expected because of her current image. People for some reason seem to forget that Miley is a boss in her own right. She already has at least 4 #1 albums and to me all she did this year was release 2 edgy videos and twerk and the media gave her the attention.

But it's also a dangerous game for your artistry. If media thinks you've gone too far/don't go far enough/are not interesting enough, it's downhill from there.
The real winners can keep up their selling power for several eras.
Miley has already overcome one career decline so she has the potential to do it again of course.

It looks like timber has been one of the most affected by the freeze, very poor radio updates these days. But i don't think the song is peaking yet, timber still sounds fresh and new! It's still increasing everywhere. Maybe in January it could have its own moment. But, now I think that counting stars might be #1 before Timber. My theory about Ss was true, without promo, SS can't survive.. Go watch iTunes! It's free falling even though it has almost 70 million AI On the radio. It shouldn't be free falling like that. That needs to change if SS wants to be number 1.

I'm sure SS will stabilize once airplay increases more and I think it sales will increase with IGC overload.
Surprised top 40 stations locally in Detroit are not playing more Holiday music.
