I listened to the Billboard podcast where they discussed Timber and the chart guy said the majority of the song was sung by Ke$ha. He broke it down by percentage where her vocals was over half of the song. They couldn't figure out why the song isn't a duet instead of just featuring. If Timber gets to #1 then it looks like Ke$ha would deserve most of the credit. This is like saying Sia shouldn't be a featured act on Titanium because she sings most of the song. That's not how it works.

If Timber gets to #1 then it looks like Ke$ha would deserve most of the credit. They also looked at Pitbull's past song where the majority of it was him repeating the same 2 or three phrases over & over. I can't remember which song (maybe the one with Ne Yo?) and again Pitbull was the minority of the vocals. I do like Pitbull songs as they're fun dance songs but I'm wondering if maybe he's just a little bit lazy and taking too much credit or maybe he's just a nice master manipulator who gets other singers to do the majority of the work/singing while he just gets the credit. Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis wrote/produced this track. Not only is Herb Alpert the only name on the original credits, TPTB did not even allow Janet to appear in the video!

09 12 Put a Little Love In Your Heart - Annie Lennox & Al Green
The great Annie Lennox's only Top 10 "solo" single and it only made it only Al Green's GH, not AL's! It's a real shame that this is a forgotten song in her catalog because their voices blend so well.

Can we expect the big freeze and irregular updates to end a few days in to January?

Can we expect the big freeze and irregular updates to end a few days in to January? On the 5th, when things finally get purged from the radio charts.

I'm not lying, why you sound mad? Take it easy please. I already told you that he gives ideas to his producers even though he doesn't get credit for that, he got credits for co producing/mixing shake senora and Pause. They were the most popular non singles tracks of PP). He is credited first in everything, with the exception of feel this moment, because FTM samples 'take on me,' so he gives credit to the original authors first. Second, Pit is also credited as executive producer of Planet Pit and Global Warming. Which means he is behind the whole creative process of his music. :) You make him sound like such a saint. Pitbull > Jesus, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King I could make a claim too and pass it off as fact. In fact, his mom is the one who comes up with the ideas and she gives them to the writers and producers but because she's such an amazing lady, she lets her son receive the credit for it all. God bless her soul.

Interesting that even Kesha's mom has a writing credit on Timber.

I wish it was either 1984 or 1989 again..both those charts are amazing! I have most of those songs either on 45 or 12" single...for those who dont know those are vinyl records.

The 80's ughh music was so good , fashion was horrid. I prefer the 60's it had a better mix of both music and fashion without the whole being a freak thing.

What happened? Did they recalibrate the panels by adding about 50 country stations?

Country songs took a massive hit during Dec. 24/25. (Almost AC-like Thanksgiving weekend drop. We're talking like 3MM-5MM audience losses for the Top 15 songs and 500-700 negative bullets)

I'm curious as to why Blurred Lines is gaining so slowly. It should be the year end number one on every countdown on every format. I was hoping for some 4-5 million updates

I was hoping for some 4-5 million updates It's probably already relatively high as it is because it's dropped so slowly so there's not a whole lot of ground to make up. Maybe? I dunno. lol

Radio: Timber was one of the biggest affected by the freeze! But it survived on top cause it's meant to be number 1 on the digital chart. The lead of timber on iTunes is massive now despite it lost too much airplay. Now, we need 5 million or more AI daily to compensate the huge loss of airplay during the freeze.

Surprised at some of those losses; Christmas Eve is out of the mix, and that's one of the days with the biggest holiday airplay.
